Carrick has done well, nobody can question that, the results are there. However, the problem would be expecting even more out of him. I am seeing United fans over at reddit requesting a title win finally , after many years without a title.

Now, I get that United won many titles and that is why wanting one more is normal for them but considering the shape of the team, if they are not even in top four, I would not be shocked. For a team that barely get out of relegation last year, to a team that is third place this year, I think the yare wanting too much, and should be happy with what they have. I do not get why Carrick should be considered bad, if he ends 6th for example, even that is good for a team like United.

Pep Guardiola is one man that would be pushing for such moves it he was to be their manager but now that he had left the club things will no longer be like before in terms of signing if players. The world cup is still on going and the new City manager may be eyeing some players but getting a player that will be giving Haaland those good passes may not be possible this time because other clubs are also in the market looking for such midfielders. I highly doubt the new coach will maintain the same strategy Guardiola used. Therefore, it's clear that the starting eleven Guardiola used won't be used by the new coach. He's the type of guy who likes to change the starting eleven all the time, even when he has a winning lineup. I saw that at Chelsea; he changed it constantly. Honestly, I don't see Manchester City finishing in the top four with this new coach. I see Manchester City falling much lower, just like during his time at Chelsea. If Manchester City had hired Mikel Arteta to replace Guardiola, I'd be convinced that Manchester City would have remained strong.

Most football fans have failed to understand that the most important thing in a team is chemistry and togetherness, and Mikel arteta's arsenal are the team that has been together the most in the English premier league, unlike Manchester City, Chelsea and Liverpool that will be having a new manager, that will need a lot of time for their players to get used to his playing pattern, so I believe that arsenal are in the best place to retain their title next season, if they can be as consistent as they were this past season.

You are right but you should know that the first time Arteta started managing Arsenal this incredible performance we are seeing currently was not there sometimes they struggle like the way Chelsea is struggling now before he signed some players that has changed the whole team Into this great team and I will say he is a good Coach because there are some manager that will stay in a team that long yet there won't be a any change, Arsenal change is really something else.

Any Manchester United fan that expect Carrick to win a trophy next season is not ready to watch his club when they season start, the reason why i said that is because how many players did Manchester United sign in this transfer window? Manchester United only sign two players and one deal is off because Enderson from Atlanta failed his medical test and the deal was not completed, Manchester United at this point only sign one player and that is Santos from Chelsea which is not enough for the club to win a trophy.

I know that Carrick managed players last season but next season is going to be different because Manchester United is participating in every competition next season, they are playing every competition in the league and also Champions League which means that they will play two or three times in a week, Manchester United need to have a good squad so that they can rest some players in some games, Carrick can win a trophy if the players play the way they do last season but the club is also going to contribute to the squad.
