Manchester United fans are always over dreaming and then putting on unnecessary pressure on a manager who is building a team.

If they can accept that they are not who they were over decades ago and are patient to see growth things might be different but I won't say Micheal Carrick is the right one until he prove himself.

No pressure is being placed on Michael Carrick by Manchester United fans. Even Michael Carrick knows the demands of the fans and how determined they can be whenever they want something. Manchester United fans are delusional yes, but in the right way. It is the main reason why they have dominated the Premier League Competition for way too long.
You're the delusional one here if you think Michael Carrick has got to impress none fans like you who do not appreciate his efforts. Carrick has nothing to prove, hopefully he will consistently win games as he did last season.

I am surprised to see that Manchester United fans are labeled dreamers when they are actually considering winning the title. I usually say this to all non-Manchester United fans that the position of this club in England and how it has dominated the English football regardless of form Manchester United will always be talked about among contenders. How many years were both Liverpool and Arsenal listed as favourites before they broke the curse, if I can guess correctly longer than Manchester United current drought so why is Manchester United dilussional if they are wishing same thing too?

Moreover if we look at Manchester United stats under Michael Carrick when he took over, I think this is the most impressive record that they could actually use to say they back and contending since post Ferguson era with the only manager with much bigger expectations was Mourinho. Carrick didn’t just earn this admiration because he was an ex Manchester United player but because of how he actually performed last season, 12 wins in 17 with just 2 loses is an impressive stat to place him that really high up to be considered a contender

Your post makes me laugh because it's quite funny and I believe you are a United fan, I wonder what such expecthave gotten y'all in the past five years?

I think you are speaking from a level of annoyance, fans speaks of Michael Carrick as tge saviour of Unitand I feel it's too early and I don't think I don't back my stance reasonably.

Michael Carrick was really exceptional in his first season with Middlesbrough and did quite well the next but soon drop before the management finally part ways with him and for this reason I won't consider him worthy of being called United saviour until another season or two more.

The bolded statement is laughable. Manchester United have the same number of English top-flight league titles as Liverpool. A tie in the number. No way Manchester dominated the league. Manchester United fans are delusional because they all speak about the past when we are in the present. Michael Carrick will not win the Premier League. It is being realistic. Manchester United should stop being delusional. The funniest part is that Manchester United lacks squad depth. The bench stinks of old men, inexperienced, poor players.

So what you're saying is United have no chance whatsoever to win the league? That is funny. How do you expect fans of a club like Manchester United not to dream of winning the league? So what should they dream about? A team that finished 3rd the previous season should not dream about winning the league the next season, but teams like Liverpool and Chelsea that finished below them can dream about winning the title? I've seen a lot of football takes, but this one is just funny.

The Premier League title is open to any team right now. Arsenal, Liverpool, Chelsea, Man United, Tottenham, and Man City all have a good chance of winning the league, even though some teams' chances are higher than others. We don't know the kind of form teams will go into the season with. If Man United build on the form they had last season, they will have a very big chance to win the league with Carrick. Asking a manager of Manchester United to win the league is exactly the kind of pressure that comes with the job.

I'm not gonna engage in this whole back and forth arguement about who stands a chance and who doesn't.
Using the word "delusional" is never a proper way of addressing anyone because this is football where opinion can sometimes be biased-based, or fact-based, and anything can happen. For me personally, there are certain things I actually look forward to seeing in all the newly employed managers(including Carrick), before I can consider them as title contenders. In fact, the season needs to have reached a certain point(gameweek), before I can finalize my conclusion.

But one thing is certain... Majority of the managers needs to build their team first, learn to balance game time while playing in so many competitions, and most importantly, learn to finish the season well. From the start of the season, we're definitely going to see a lot of them doing well until it gets to March where fatigue starts showing us the ugly side of football. The players will definitely do the talking on the pitch when the time comes, so it's best we all relax.

I think it's okay for every fan to dream at the beginning of the season and believing that their club will go all the way to win the trophy,  so it's no different with Manchester United fans, but the reality is that they need to lower their expectations,  so they don't get disappointed. Michael Carrick is a decent manager with potentials, and he did well when he took over the Manchester united job last season,  but I think he needs a full season for we to rate him, so it will be better for Manchester United fans to not put too much pressure on him, so he can do a better job for them team.

Every fan will always claim that their team will win the league because they have seen one or two changes, and Michael Carrick seems promising, but we are expecting Manchester United to do a fantastic job. It is good when you can lower your expectations, but we just love to anticipate. There is no way that fans will not anticipate it; it is not okay at all. From the look of things, we have to anticipate what will happen in the next round because that is the only way.

We anticipate that Michael Carrick will do even better in the upcoming season after his strong performance in the previous one. Because of this, their supporters believe they have a better chance of winning a trophy, which I don't think will happen this season. However, they could finish in the top three or even the top five, and people are ready, knowing fully what they want, but even if the fans know the truth, they will still want to encourage things.

Hahaha...fans could be funny at times, but as for me, no, I have to spit the truth all the time. Overall achievement, the two narrowly contested that, but when it comes to the overall major trophies won, Liverpool is uncomparably better than Man U. However, what I wouldn't support is you downplaying Man U and their players, and calling them names. Those guys are great, but the club is somewhat plagued, or should I call it challenged. Even the best players doing well elsewhere would have failed in Man U. I hope this will be lifted under the leadership of Carrick.

Every club have delusional fans. And I will also say it vey okay for every club, especially the big 6 in the premier league to dream that they can win the league in the beginning of the season. We can take away the fact that Manchester United was the best club in the since Carrick took charge. They won more premier league points than any other team in the league since he took charge.

So if I’m a Manchester United fan, with the way we ended last season I will also have that believe that we will win the league the following season. Just that now, they now have more complex fixtures than they did last season. They will be playing in the champions league this season, so practically, they will be playing every 3 Days.

For me I will give Carrick a shot at the premier league, but I don’t give him favorite to win the premier league next season.

Anytime I see them making all these false claims about Manchester United, I usually think that maybe they are playing in championship, but in the Premier League, I don't see Manchester United competing for the top contender for the title, take a look at the likes of Arsenal, Manchester City and Liverpool that are still in their base performance, definitely Manchester United fans are delusional because apart from the teams I mentioned take a look at Aston Villa who have an incredible performance since last season and will also like to be in that race this time around. The league will start very soon, so let's wait and see what Manchester United have to offer finds her overrating them.
