Sincerely speaking if Chelsea continue wirh this their playing pattern, I'm not sure if other clubs will stop them from winning the league this season. I've checked all their matches since the season started, they're the premier league club scoring early goal, like i was surprised to them scored 2 goals in 2 minutes and 26 seconds. I think all their premier league matches this season is only Brentford that they where unable to score and scoring just 1 goal against Arsenal  other matches was 3 goals up, the only problem they're facing right now is their defence which i believe that's where they'll focus on in January transfer if they can solve their defence problems Chelsea will be a title contender this very season.

I don’t see anything bad in having multiple threads about premier league, even in the previous season there was two premier league threads and nobody complained about it. Actually the Op can decide to lock the thread but even if the thread is active, I don’t see anything bad in it, people will keep on using all the threads, and let’s wait maybe @Trofo is going to lock his own thread since the thread is too long already, maybe new thread can be created and let’s start next season afresh. But I will even recommend we even leave the thread, anybody can comment on any thread which they think they are convenient with.

I don’t know what you mean by if their will be clash between the two threads, how will the clash happen, anybody can choose to comment on the thread which they want and I don’t know how clash is going to happen.

In my own opinion, every new season should have a separate thread, for instance after this 2026/2027 season the thread is supposed to be locked, and let another one be opened, and this way, it will enable everyone to be on the same page instead of making post on different places. This will also enable members to well informed of every post that is being made on that very thread instead of moving from one thread to another saying the same thing. Sometimes, when the thread is not closed some people will mistakenly be posting on outdated information which is not meant to be so. For instance if someone open the past English premier League thread you will still be responding there thinking is a new thread.

Yes. Chelsea performance in this match really deserves praise, they could even win big. They were also able to score 2 goals within the first two minutes of the first half. It can be said that since being coached by Alonso, Chelsea often scores in the first 10 minutes, even though sometimes the final result is a draw or a loss. This shows that Chelsea needs to score as early as possible once the match starts.

What's even more interesting is that Henderson is back and he even scored two goals in this match. Alonso sharpness in recruiting players can also be said to be quite brilliant now with Caicedo joining and Henderson, an experienced player, Chelsea defense isn't as fragile as yesterday which also proves that Chelsea really needs a strong double pivot. If Chelsea performance can keep up like this, it's not impossible that they will be in the running for the trophy, especially since the EPL season is still very long.

The Liverpool coach mis calculated the game between him and man city though Man City capacity would have win them but won't have been three goals for nothing just as they hard propelled by the red card conceive by Liverpool midfielder Ryan, I can't understand why coach have not seen the yellow card as a red line warning that would have leads him to remove him before the worse danger happened because considering their play at the first half Liverpool never give Man City the space to even get a goal if not the red card Man City would have ended in draw or the least one goal wining rather than scoring three goals in that very match, it's a lesson for Coach why keeping your midfielder that have the capacity to replace until a red card is conceive for me is calculation error.

I think Liverpool were the better team in the first half,  but the red card changed everything and Manchester City end up winning 3-0. I understand that the manager should have subed him off after the first yellow card, but I also think that the manager left him, because he was one of their best player on the pitch.  My issue is with the first yellow, I don't think it's a yellow card offense,  because there way no contact on Elliott Anderson, so I feel since the referee has giving him a wrong yellow card, he should have overlooked the second one to make up for his first mistake.  In my opinion Liverpool did well, but the refree ruined the game for them.

Coventry won Newcastle 4 - 1 today, unbelievable not 2 - 1 but 4 goals scored by Coventry who are also struggling in the league as well. Fans has already started using it to mock Manchester United, I read one post where they said Coventry has won more games than Manchester United this season in the league this season. They have 2 wins as against Manchester United who only has one win and it came against Ipswich. I don't even know exactly where Newcastle is heading to like this, 4 - 1 against Coventry, lots of tickets will bled today because of Newcastle.

Chelsea have not been consistent this season, there are some positions which they still have to improve. They won their first match after  the international break, and I hope they going to continue like this till the season is going to end. Chelsea performance is improving gradually, their performance this season is better than how they performed last season, so even if Chelsea can’t win the premier league, which I know Chelsea won’t be able to win, but Alonso should try and qualify for the champions league. With the way Chelsea are  not so consistent this season, we should stop thinking about them winning the premier league title.

Monday have has never been a day for Newcastle and before this game I was telling someone that let this game not be another humiliating game for Newcastle just like last time they played against Leeds UTD and the whole thing happened and even worse, what is happening to Newcastle this season? A team that have tested the champions league game, one would have thought they would use that same energy to battle some of the English teams especially the smaller teams but look at how weak they have been. Looking at their poor performance on another way it is pointing at the direction of them selling some of their good players without any replacement and it's looking that way but would would love to join a team that is playing like a 3rd division team in the epl? None and that is why they are managing with what they have. After Eddie left I had that feeling that some players would do the same just like what is going on with City but the difference is that Man City are letting the good players go and letting in a more better replacement base on the kind of team they are and their achievements too is what is pushing players to join the team but is a different case for Newcastle. When are we going to see a more aggressive Newcastle this season? Look at how Coventry trashed them 4 goals to  but if they see clubs like Liverpool, Arsenal or even Manchester United or City they will come attacking like a wounded lion.

Losing to Coventry is not supposed to be a surprise. Newcastle finished in 12th position last season, it is not like they are a very good performing team, Newcastle may be a threat, but i won't be so surprised if they lose to Coventry. Coventry was not going to miss out on the home advantage, knowing that if they lose more matches, there is a possibility of them struggling in the relegation battle, even with today's win, Coventry is only three points ahead of Bournemouth and Spurs, who are 18th and 19th place in the relegation zone.

After the international break the team seem to show that they have been doing a whole lots of training behind while others play for their countries. According to cole Palmer even the Free kick they won was what they have been practicing, so you are basically seeing a team that refuses to rest because they have goals to chase and all these is as a result of xabi Alonso, the team has a lot of potentials this season and if they try harder they just need 3-4 losses from Arsenal and 4-5 losses from Manchester City to have a chance of winning this season

Newcastle United have become a shadow of themselves this season, maybe selling some of their key players have something to do with their recent performances. Twice now they’ve been beaten 4:1 by an unexpected opponent.

I wouldn’t say they were the better side since they ended up losing the game, the better side is the winning team that’s the most important team. Nobody cares about how you play, it’s the results at the end of the game that matters.

Newcastle should buckle up before the Villa game. Aston Villa are also not doing excellently at the moment.

Liverpool failed badly against Man City, they lost 3-0, but, to be fair to them, a lot of that could've been effect of the red card for Gravenberch in the 62nd minute, as all of the 3 goals for the City were scored after that.
Nevertheless, a loss is a loss and Liverpool are now occupying 9th place in the table with 9 points behind the leader.

In the post match interview, Bradley Barcola, the second most expensive transfer in Liverpool's history, revealed why he is currently struggling to make the desired impact on Liverpool's performance. Yes Newcastle did the playing while Coventry did the winning, what exactly do you guys expect from a team which has sold most of their star players, I wasn't expecting more from them anyways, but the humiliation was quite huge it was really out of the picture, like what is actually wrong with Newcastle United and Aston Villa this season, they were all on fire last season, but looking at their performance this season, you will keep wondering how they managed to end where they ended last season, but let's watch how the season go for now.

You're right, consistent performance is what they need to be a title contender. Last season they did very well at the beginning of the season which we even saw top the league once, but unfortunately they fall out of the to the extend of not qualifying for champions league. But believe they'll performance very well this season, just as you said be midseason w will know where they stand but at least let them put more effort to win any of the English cups this very season, because seasons ago they  went to finals without winning anything apart from conference league and the clubs world cup finals let them win any of their domestic league this season.
