Did the dev team discuss PoS yet? I'm curious to hear what you all think. Either way D2D is getting closer and closer...
We did, and we'll be giving our thoughts about it later on tonight once we settle a particular issue Cool, looking forward to it.

Here's the latest update over what we've worked on during these past couple of weeks:
1) Merchants - we're pleased to say that we've reached an agreement with "Go Bananas", a popular souvenir shop here in Malta situated in Paceville. It sells souvenirs as well as printed T-shirts, and they've agreed to print the polo-shirts for our D2D at a reduced price of 9 euro per shirt, rather than the normal fee of 12 euro. They have also agreed to start accepting Muniti as payment for online transactions once they set up their website in August. It will only be limited to items which cost less than 5 euro at first, they will see how that goes and then expand where and if necessary. We are also in talks with a couple of souvenir shops in Bugibba, and we talked with the owners of the Eurostar hotel which is a two-star hotel in Paceville. They did consider it at first but when the value of Muniti plummeted, they took a step back and informed us they'd think about it again once its value stabilises a bit more.
2) AACasino - they have accepted to link us to their network of affiliates and we might be seeing Muniti being used on some online casinos soon. Again, the issue of volatility of the coin cropped up, but we explain thoroughly that Muniti is still in its infancy and has barely had enough time to prove itself. We will be getting a lot more exposure in the gambling network, so that should help to get the value of the coin up and at the same time improve our chances of having Muniti used on a prominent online casino site. It's a win-win situation.
3) D2D team - we have finally chosen the D2D team's members and we will be publishing their names later on this weekend on the website along with a short description about them. We will upload photos of them with the polo-shirt on once those are printed and finished. There were over 30 applicants to choose from, so it was not an easy task!
4) Another media push after the first distribution - we will be retargetting our efforts onto promotion once the first D2D is well underway. It should allow enough time for the initial spurt of promotion to sink in, for some people to start receiving their share of Muniti and thus be freshly re-informed about what they are receiving. Hopefully this will minimise the dumping which was seen taking place in Aurora's airdrop, which we feel was due to lack of information to the general public.
Unfortunately we do have a slight bit of bad news. Our developer, Matthew Camilleri, unfortunately has to stop for a while due to personal circumstances. We had discussed the PoS issue and the majority were in favour, although I have to add there was a sense of wariness about it. We did agree that we would settle on a maximum interest rate of 1.5%, and that it should gradually increase in 3 main increments: 0.5%, 1%, 1.5%. When we were getting down to the nitty gritty and seeing how best to implement such a system, the bad news reached Matthew and we were thus left short of our head-honcho on the technical stuff. We decided that it would be best to recruit a developer from the online community rather than see if there is a local who can give a hand, due to time constraints. We do have around 50,000 MUN set apart for development and promotion purposes, and we would gladly arrange to have it paid out in instalments to a suitable developer who would be willing to give us a hand in setting up the PoS stage along with a technical overview of how to best implement it.
So that's that. If there's a developer out there who is willing to give us a hand, please drop me a PM. Muniti is set to pick up some steam in the upcoming weeks, and all we're asking for is for all of you to spread the word in any way possible - Facebook, Twitter, QQ, reddit, other forums, etc. We'll be looking to see whether anyone can create a professional video for around 200 euro, as the lowest offer we've had was of 350 euro which we felt was too expensive. Sorry for the hastily-written update but the huge amount of coffee I've consumed over the past three days is surreal, and its effect is starting to really make itself felt!

That's too bad about the dev. I like the PoS plan though, the interest rate sounds really good. How long do you think it will take to find a new dev?

Thanks for all efforts.
On line use of MUN is excellent news.
Going PoS does not have to be rushed through. MUN is a long term project.
Suppressed price could be a good thing, it might deter the dumping of the coins from airdrop.

I think PoS is not the be all and end all - getting country participation will be huge - anyone can convert to PoS but on the ground involvement will be where Muniti stands out

I just wanna add how impressed I am with all the merchants you've talked to. Too bad the hotel deal fell through but I'm sure they'll come around. I'm also excited to see the D2D members. This is interesting to finally see unfold as we get closer.
