Hi everyone!
On this forum there are lots of posts about Freewallet org, which is often called as a great SCAM project.

Several days ago, on 08/02/2023 I made an official crime report to the National Fraud Intelligence Bureau (UK authority which investigates online scam and fraud crimes). My report was registrated by number NFRC230806087223.

I created online petition with an appeal to the NFIB to investigate the fraudulent activities of Freewallet owners

It is available here: https://chng.it/JVYrmzzHGK

I ask everyone to sign this petition! It will take no more then 3-5 minutes but in may be significant to stop Freewallet scammers!

The full text of petition:

Freewallet.org is a site created by scammers to steal digital money from customer accounts. The site's owners call their product a cryptocurrency wallet, but it's actually an app that takes victims' assets and blocks their accounts.

According to some reports, the owners of Freewallet org are residents of the United Kingdom Dmitrey Gunyashov and Alexey Gunyashov and a guy from Russia named Vasilli Meschyerokov. Some witnesses also mention Andrey Savchenko as one of the investors. (source: https://freewalletscam.boards.net/thread/2/freewallet-administration-stole-500-000)

How the fraudulent site Freewallet org works:
  • The victim creates a wallet to receive and send cryptocurrency through the Freewallet app.
As soon as a large transfer is received on the account, the site administration transfers coins to someone else's address.
If the user makes a claim, he is told that he himself sent the money by mistake to the wrong wallet, and the transfer cannot be returned.
If the client deposits a large amount, the administration blocks the account under the pretext of verification.
During the verification process, the administration ignores requests and submitted documents, constantly sends new requests.
A detailed description of Freewallet fraud methods can be found at the links:
https://freewalletscam.com/freewallet-the-scam-project-that-threatens-thousands-of-customers/
https://freewalletscam.com/freewallet-app-reviews-is-it-safe-and-legit/
https://freewalletscam.boards.net/thread/7/freewallet-stole-cancer-patients-savings

...and on many other sites and forums! Freewallet scammers stole more than $8,000,000 of savings from thousands of victims. Among the victims there are people who collected this money for cancer treatment or made a transfer to celebrate their daughter's birthday.

We ask you to sign this petition to the National Fraud Intelligence Bureau. On August 2, 2023, we submitted a formal request to this authority to conduct an investigation. The crime report is registered under the number NFRC230806087223. Since the owners of the Freewallet site may reside in the United Kingdom, this crime is under the jurisdiction of law enforcement in the United Kingdom and the National Fraud Intelligence Bureau.

Some of the victims may also be residents of the UK. Some - live in other countries. According to sections 1, 2 Fraud Act 2006, a person is guilty of fraud if he is in breach of any of the sections listed in subsection (2) (which provide for different ways of committing the offence).A person is in breach of this section if he— dishonestly makes a false representation. Freewallet.org owners commited false representation of a possibillity of cryptocurrency payments and then appropriated their victims digital asssets. According to this, we ask you to sign this petition and we ask NFIB to investigate and bring the founders of the fraudulent Freewallet project to justice!

I think that this is the only way to legally stop them, and that anyone who is their victim should report it to the competent authorities in their country and thus indicate that something really needs to be done. The authorities usually do not react when someone reports that they have been defrauded for a small amount, but when we look at the accumulated amount, this is a case that should be of interest to many agencies that fight against organized crime.

@stafstor, there is information that this company is registered in Estonia and that it has a completely different owner, although this may be outdated information.

Freewallet is based in Tallinn, Estonia and was created by Alvin Hagg.

No, it belongs to the accusation board for just expecting everyone to sign the petition. The OP has also sent a report to the local authorities, an investigative thread may be required if further action is taken against the report.

Does the National Fraud Intelligence Bureau even care about petitions? They should investigate crimes, not popularity.

--Knight Hider

I've made an official report to the NFIB.
But the queston is. If it will be just mine report, some officer may take a look on it and say like "well I don't know if this guy's telling the truth, maybe it was just sort of technical issue". If the same officer will see a petition signed by 100-1000-10000 people, he 'll probably be more "attentive" cause nobody wants to be accusated in non-investigating crime. So I am sure tht petiton will help. But only if more people will sign it. I think 1000 would be an otimal number, and actually looks like there were even more victims!

Though I am not familiar with NFIB, I am somewhat sure they'll still take a look at a case if the victim [namely, you] provide enough and clear evidences. With lack of evidences, no law enforcement can do any investigation, even judges will not issue a warrant under that circumstances.

That's just a first step.
Even if the investigation won't be succesful now, we'll make new reports and another actions.
It's a great thing that there are places where you can leave a review about scammers from Freewallet. But it's not enough to stop them=(

OK, guys, so, what do we have now.

We are running the website about freewallet scam (https://realreviews.info/) and also we launched a petition claiming the NFIB to investigate those crimes.

Freewallet team could give a public response to these accusations. If Freewallet org really was a decent service, its representatives would at least try to explain the reasons why hundreds of people lost assets by transferring them to the wallets of this “company”. Instead, Freewallet lawyers are writing complaints accusing us in “illegal use of the trademark name”, although there is no evidence that such a trademark even exists (on the official website of Freewallet it is indicated that the owner of the service is a defunct company).

As a result, Freewallet scammers blocked 2 of our domains (freewalletscam.org and freewalletscam.com) without any reason. This  trick didn’t stop us, but on the contrary, only convinced us that we were right. If Freewallet were honest, they would be open to public discussion. But they hide from answering the questions of hundreds of victims and try to block resources where potential customers can read real reviews.

Better for us, because even some crypto news websites are now starting to share our materials. https://realreviews.info/sign-a-petition-calling-for-an-investigation-against-freewallet-org-owners/

There are already 16 signatures. Not much but the link was sent to the NFIB officers to show them that there are many victims.

We are also sending info about Freewallet scam to all websites that public crypto news, reviews etc. Our goal is to convince crypto portals editors to add "Scam" warning to all freewallet materis and advertisments.

We've got 25 signatures under petition. Not much but if there'll be at least 100 signs, it will give some pressure for NFIB, FBI and other authorities to investigate freewallet team's crimes. So, please, sign it!

I've heard of these fuckers before, always in the context of being a scam and no doubt they are.  However, I don't understand why a petition is necessary for a government agency to investigate crimes.

Just speaking for myself, I hope for the best in prosecuting Freewallet, but there are a couple of reasons I'm not going to sign a petition.  The first is that for as long as online petitions have existed, they've been as close to meaningless as you can get no matter what the issue, because they're just not taken seriously.  Second is that I wouldn't sign my name to anything related to crypto if it's going to a government agency.  And third, this is a UK-based agency and my guess is that they probably don't give much weight to foreign signatures since they're not accountable to those people.

If Freewallet has been at this for so long, it makes me wonder why no law enforcement agency has gone after them.  Surely their victims have filed complaints with LE agencies....or perhaps not, because it's crypto.

-snip-
However, I don't understand why a petition is necessary for a government agency to investigate crimes.

Big companies are sometimes too powerful to face alone. Making a petition is the last form of fighting, it obviously takes some time and certain statistical achievements to get a serious response from the authorities (not as effective as a direct report with valid evidence). cmiiw

But to be honest, petitions are useful for facilitating victims to open their voices, where previously they were not allowed to take legal action independently because of some limitations and incompetence.

This space for rent.

~snip~

If you are not one of the victims, then there is no point in signing the petition, because the point is that those who have lost their funds using this wallet come forward and in this way try to encourage all those state agencies to finally take action in this case.

If Freewallet has been at this for so long, it makes me wonder why no law enforcement agency has gone after them.  Surely their victims have filed complaints with LE agencies....or perhaps not, because it's crypto.

Obviously, there is not enough interest from anyone to start an investigation, maybe the question of jurisdiction is something that should also be taken into account, given that the UK, Russia and some other European countries are mentioned. If by any chance the whole matter was under the jurisdiction of the US authorities, I think that we would have seen some concrete moves long time ago.

European authorities (with a few exceptions) are not even close to their American colleagues, especially when it comes to something like cryptocurrencies.

I can't agree with this opinion. If a person itself is a victim, it's more efficiently to make an official crime report. This is the only way to get your assets back. But in crypto community there are many people with active position who are tired of different scammers but didn't lose money (yet). And those people can't send an appeal or abuse since they are not crime investigation subjects. At the same time by signing a petition you show, that this question is important. And when government authorities find this petition (and they do cause we send to them all links, including even lnks to this topics), they think "ok, so ot's not only one victim, there may be lot's of them. Maybe we should pay more attention to this issue cause there is too much public activity around this issue". That's why we reccommend this "algorythm" of fighting against Freewallet

I'm not saying that what you wrote doesn't make sense, although I was convinced that you somehow want to create pressure on the authorities by showing them specific victims who have evidence that something bad happened to them because they used that service. The weight of their statements with evidence is far greater than the opinion of some people who, considering everything that has happened in the past years when it comes to that service, suspect that this company is doing something that is against the law.

Regardless of the directions in which you go, we all still hope that you will succeed in encouraging the authorities to act on this issue.

Thanks a lot for your support!
Well, of cource the optimal way would be to help victims to make official reports and claims. And we are ready to provide such help for free. But there are a lot of people who lost not much, for example $50. And they probably won't waste their time filling the appeals. So it's rather hard to find victims who are ready to "keep fighting"

Have you ever thought about real Freewallet org owners?
We made a special investigation to find some info.
Check it here: https://freewalletreviews.org/who-is-behind-the-biggest-cryptocurrency-scams-of-2023/

I can tell even more, Cryptopay and Freewallet are two of the largest fraudulent projects on the cryptocurrency market. And as it turned out, the same people are behind both services.
