They certainly can, but I have to say that after the first ~30 minutes they are lucky that they are not losing since Dinamo has been better and Petkovic even hit the post. Anyway, Dinamo looks surprisingly good but this is all far from over and it looks like its gonna be a close game.

Yeah, GNK Dinamo Zagreb had a good performance and they were also playing at home, no wonder they were able to hold off Real Betis in the first 35 minutes. But now Real Betis is leading the match, from the attack side GNK Dinamo Zagreb is still superior and it could be that in the second half they score a goal, on the other hand Real Betis has dominant possession of the ball, I think this is still a bit difficult to predict. They dragged the game into extra time and gave Ajax a scare that they could lose the game. Ajax on the other hand defended a lot, but on the additional extra time, they knew that the team who was first to get the goal was the likely winner, they hustled to get the goal from a ball that did not seem aimed at goal, but a crossing to find another player. After their goal, they would have conceded again because Bodo increased the pressure, but they were able to hold them back and defend well to get the win.

We can say luck is on Ajax's side because they can get out of the pressure that comes repeatedly, we can also see Bodo Glimt dominating the match from all sides with 25 shots and 8 of them on target but yeah there's nothing they can do because luck is on Ajax's side. In another match, the only team from Laliga Real Betis, was finally kicked out after losing 2-1 on aggregate, honestly this is beyond our expectations because in my opinion Real Betis is one of the candidates to win this tournament. Now I have 2 favorite teams Ajax and Frankfurt which I think one of them will reach the final or even both advance to the final and currently Frankfurt is still continuing its struggle they only needed 1 goal to end it.

Ajax Amsterdam suffered before securing a place for the next round but they succeeded at the end. They should expect harder matches starting from the next round. I don't expect them to advance a lot in this competition regarding their medium performance.

Real Betis failed to advance to the next round because in today match the match ended with a score of 1-1 and an aggregate of 2-1. In another match, Ajax did not perform well in today match, but they managed to silence the hosts with a score of 1-2 and Ajax managed to advance to the next round. I am surprised at the performance of Eintracht frankfurt where they lost at home which made them eliminated in the European Conference League.

Sturm with their neat performance in the first leg won 4-1 and in the second leg Sturm also managed to steal the win at home to Slovan. Yes, some fans were quite disappointed because their idol team lost today match, but yes, it was all because they were not able to show their best game. For Betis, they have not performed consistently this season in either the domestic league or the European conference league, so their elimination is certainly not a surprise.

the result of the match ended in a 1-1 draw. that way Macabi Haifa who qualifies for the next round. regarding the opponent who will be faced in the next round is still waiting for the drawing. maybe Monday the drawing.

Frankfurt's being eliminated by Royale Union SG wasn't a thing that I expected to see. No wonder how many people bet on their win in the second leg and got very disappointed as well. 

Frankfurt are a Europa League winner team so I thought they would be determined here too. But it didn't look like they really cared about the Conference League. Otherwise I think there is no way they are losing home in a game like this. I would like to remind you of how they demolished Bayern Munich in the Bundesliga by 5-1 this season. I don't place bets on Conference League games because of seeing more surprises here.

It was no surprise to me in any matchup, the teams that seemed to be favorites advanced to the next round. The elimination of Real Betis and Eintracht Frankfurt may seem like a surprise, but the teams against them are successful teams that are doing very well in their own leagues, so it shouldn't be considered a surprise.
Now there are matches in the last 16 rounds. The draw will be held in 3 hours. There are strong teams in the tournament. Teams such as Aston Villa, Fiorentina, Ajax, Lille seem to be favorites for the cup.

I think that Aston Villa will win this cup very comfortably. There is a huge difference in quality between other teams and Aston Villa. Aston Villa's opponent in the final could be Fiorentina or Fenerbahçe. But it's too early to predict for now. Surprisingly, other teams like Dinomo Zgreb, Club Brugge and Ajax may also be Aston Villa's opponent in the final round.

I do believe that conference will be very important for many of these clubs because the only place they could win in Europe will be this one. Ajax is the exception because I always consider them as a team that can get much better, the yare going through some rough period right now but they will do much better eventually.

They were the UCL semi-*finalist just a few years ago and that should be proof enough that they could care less about this for the season, but most other teams are so good at here that they can't win europa or of course not UCL as well, so they need to win this or they can't win anything else. Most came from higher p positions, some even from champions league elimination phases, so they should be very good.

And Aston Villa gets Ajax as their opponents, in my opinion these are one of the strongest teams that are now left in the Conference League. Ajax have added very well recently and Aston Villa were probably initially contenders for winning the tournament, given how Emery loves such tournaments. It’s a pity that these teams met in the 1/8 finals, but the strongest must win in any case and I think that Aston Villa should win this confrontation, although it must be admitted that in the last matches they do not look as good as at the beginning of the season.

Trust me, Betis getting kicked out by Dinamo is a big surprise, even for us Dinamo fans in Croatia. This is probably the worst Dinamo in the last 10-15 years so naturally no one expected them to beat 6/7th team in Primera. Hell, they even struggle in national championship which they usually win comfortably and are currently only 3rd and will be a big success if they manage to win it.
