Well, OP...I couldn't say I was in profit because I'd never sell any but just keep on holding waiting for the next bull season.
But despite the situation that we take these days, I could still think that some people have it good and earn a few bucks especially if you can play the market so well. But if you are in long-term investment, I couldn't think if they have gained any considering that they are just buying. Maybe if you are in trading, earning is not impossible.

I just started accumulating altcoins slowly starting this year and so far it is still losing. Not a problem though as I am making a monthly DCA on altcoins as well so it is either I can average down or average up. My bitcoin DCA started only last December last year and it is having a good gain as I started purchasing at $15k.

I also have little holdings since 2021 and of course, they're also losing. But I have trust in bitcoin, ethereum and bnb so it's not an issue for me. The only thing I regret is when I invested in new projects in late 2021 and they're totally wrecked and I doubt they can recover. Some of the new projects I invested in late 2021 are scams since the devs left already.

Really great idea for buy more altcoins before starting bull market. But don't waste all your capital on getting rich quick. Also I only want to invest in venture capital crypto. Some capital has to be kept as transitory it will be useful in danger, crypto will give me profit but for that you have to be patient.

After going to the last bull run, I have gained a lot of things, which I will tell you about. It consists primarily of knowledge, the greatest achievement since the last bull-run was these knowledge. I also won't admit that I have lost some, including some bitcoins, but mostly investing in altcoins. But the number of profit was not bad, the amount of profit is more. The reason to talk about the losses first is that I have learned a lot from the losses that I will not do again.

I think it is not really about selling after a bull run, it doesn't have to be peak, it could be the next peak. Let me give you an example, lets say that you had bitcoin during 2017 bull run, it reached 20k, if you sold at that peak it would be lovely, you could have sold it there, and then rebought it at 4k and made a ton of profit when it reached 60k right?

But even if you didn't, if you kept holding it, when it reached 60k, you still made 3x more than selling at 20k. This is the same logic, you do not have to sell at this peak, you could sell 5 peaks later, you could just keep on holding. Trading is nice, but holding is even nicer compared to trading because there is a chance you could lose money at trading.

I didn't make my real goal last bull market but I had earned enough asset to sustain me and give other way to my future investment. I lost assets but I accept that since it's the bear market, I learned my lesson again this time and I know what I should do exactly next bull market. I'm not trying to regain the assets I lost but I'm trying to reclaim my failed goal last bull market. I believe that we can see many people who will make a very good amount of profit next bull market because I think I'm not the only one learned from the past bear market. There are many who stay in using cryptocurrency and will try to achieve their desired goal.

If there is anything meaningful that I have learn from the last bull run, I will say it's meme coins, runaway from coins that have no product or use case because it will be about speculations and speculations, nothing to build it for, I would rather have an erc shit coin than stay married meme coins. Meme coins were man made disaster that made many people made money but almost everyone who were interested lost money in them because the investors don't see them without buying whether they are good or not, it's all a the profit.

Another thing I learned from the last bull run is believing them, any project that did not build it's during bear market is not a good project. The building should be around before the bull run and have things running by the dev but people will just sit down and arrange one or two and create something silly with and expect people to invest and when the market becomes tough, they exit the market and some even runaway with the raise capital.

Definitely yes since I was able to buy during the bear market and this is what I’m doing right now, preparing for the bull market is always a profitable strategy than to buy when the price is already high. This is your golden opportunity now to buy a cheaper good coin, we might be in a bear market but sooner or later we will prevail and the market will enter into another bull run again, it could be big this time.

meanwhile i've profited off majority of the coins i'm holding and ethereum included, the latest bullrun just so massive that quite literally every coins are gaining massive value increase.
I guess that because institutional investors are starting to take their part in investing and diversifying their portfolio in cryptocurrency which adds massively to the market capitalization of these

Yes I gained something at the end of the bull run.
I gained DISAPPOINTMENT, and REGRET.

Disappointed on myself that I didn't took the opportunity at that time to sell my Bitcoins, and my altcoins. Regret that I didn't do any action. I was few buttons away from selling all of my assets at that time, and I always look at my portfolio at that time. I really wanted to sell at that time, but I was hesitant, thinking that it will go up even more. TBH, I didn't have any concrete selling plan at that time because I'm thinking of holding all of my assets for a longer period of time. Turns out it was a completely wrong decision for me to wait even more.

I know, I know that there are some here who have plans of holding their Bitcoins, and other altcoins for a long period of time, maybe longer than mine, but I believe in the saying "Don't fall in love with your assets." If there's an opportunity to sell then sell it as long as you have profits on it, and wait for another opportunity to happen again. There are lots of opportunities in the crypto market. If only I sold all of my crypto holdings last bull run in 2021, I will keep half of my money to re-buy again during the bear market. Turned out I didn't bought as much cryptocurrencies as I wanted to.

I will not miss this another opportunity again. When the bull run starts, I will sell all of my holdings.

I think a great deal of those that have been here for a long time have similar thoughts, however trading and investing is not something that can be learned that quickly due to the amount of time it takes for similar conditions to present themselves.

And it is only once you have experimented the same conditions a few times when you can finally take decisions with full confidence that what you are doing is not only a profitable move, but the best possible movement you can make at the moment.

Votality catches everyone off guard and the ups and downs of the crypto market will be caused by many factors. If you are not prepared with a good strategy, a decline in value will occur. Many shitcoins will indeed turn into zero and worthless again, that's because the shitcoin is only made to benefit the developer, not for long-term project goals.  There are some new coins that still survive with a strong community and even during bearish times they survive.
But it's not easy to find such coins. Most shitcoins will end up abandoned. better invest in altcoins that are trusted.

That is the natural part of bitcoin and crypto, if you are not ready for it then you have made your mistake even from the start. There are a lot of people who are not aware of the fact that crypto could crash at any given moment and it could also rise at any given moment as well, you need to be ready for both of them.

My "ready" version is just buying as much of it as I can, and keep on buying even if it goes down. That way I have as much crypto as I can afford and when the price finally goes up, I will be in profit. This means that when the price goes down, I buy more, and when the price goes up, I sell. This is the way I get ready for anything and you should do this or something else to get ready for it as well.

I also got profit in ETH but I didn't buy it a lot.
Being an important lesson to miss the train is a detrimental thing, there are many people who suffered losses during the bullrun yesterday, including me who fomo against one coin because the increase was quite significant, although there was no loss so much at the time of the bullrun at that time, but that would be very disappointing if I just let it go.

There are some that I still hold to this day because indeed the last Bullrun yesterday I bought too carelessly, so I still hold it and hope that the next bullrun will get a proper return from what I hold.

It is not always the case that those who bought in a bull market should be first in line on the list of losing investors. For example, at the very beginning or in the middle of the last bull run you could buy coins at any price and still make a nice profit. Most investors suffer not from the timing of their purchases, but from the fact that they don't want to sell when a good profit has appeared. They always think that the asset will grow further and so they hold coins until the very last moment, and when they see that the market has stopped growing, they just start waiting for it to grow again and all this turns into long losses, which they cannot withstand and sell at the lowest prices.

Honestly, what i gain is brain. Lol. Hopefully, I will be financially free in the next bull run. As usual, we will definitely feel very happy with the existence of bullish and bearish vice versa. Because many things change, sometimes our investment becomes less and less valuable over time.
However, if you think about it, the clean era is the time when we should accumulate some superior crypto so that we can prepare for the bullish period later. This will be better than us just entering the beginning of the bullish future. Try to imagine the investors who bought Bitcoin when the price was bearish below $20k yesterday, they will definitely get huge profits. Sadly, after the bull run the price dropped eventually and made me hold as I had no choice but at least I already sold some to use as my investment capital. However, it gives me no reason to regret it as I see this as another opportunity to buy more and earn more when the bull season comes again.
Well, if those days that the price of Bitcoin is below $20k and they sell them at this time, it is a profit already. But I decided to just hold and make a journey for the next Bull Run because that is my plan.

I am not a day trader or someone who trades for short term periods. So, taking profits during bearish times is not my main priority. Indeed, sometimes there are times when I try to trade short term, not in the future market, but only in the spot market, when I really have free time and I want to do it. However, the intensity is very rare. So you could say this is just something that cannot be used as a benchmark.

Because basically, during this bearish time, accumulating Bitcoin investment is my main goal. I do also do this for several altcoins, however, the main focus is on Bitcoin. Not without reason, but learning from experience in the last bearish era. It's a shame that I didn't prepare myself to invest in Bitcoin during the bearish season last season. Therefore, this bearish season makes me more enthusiastic about accumulating Bitcoin in preparation for long-term investment, at least until the next bullish era, not for short terms like trading or things like that.
