Leverkusen, Liverpool, Barcelona, and Roma are my favorite teams to win the Europa League this season.

Leverkusen is a force to be reckoned with. They're having one of the best seasons yet and their coach is a Liverpool fan and I'm hoping he won't give yus a big upset. Klopp is yet to win the Europa league and this 2023/2024 Europa league present an awesome opportunity to do so nut I respect other teams like Roma even though they lost the 2022/2023 Europa League title to Sevilla.

I agree that it is not set in stone that playing home in the second game is an advantage. It could also be subjective perception, but I sometimes think that playing the second game at home could psychologically be advantageous. However, if a team plays first at home and wins that game, it could be an advantage as well when the team can then play patiently, waiting for counter attacks away from home and knowing that a draw would be enough isn't bad either.

In my personal opinion, playing the second game at home isn't an advantage and especially when the hosting team had conceded a goal away already or lost the game away so definitely a draw isn't going to do them any good, they at that point not only needed to win, but to win with a good margin to be able to get ahead of their opposition.

It's even better the first game is played at your home and if you win you stand at the best advantage you can think of at that time because you wouldn't have to struggle away and like you rightly stated even a draw will be fine and so their struggle at this point reduce and the hosting team is now more at battle because even psychologically they will be under pressure to making sure not to concede a goal and also not to loose so the pressure is high when you are hosting the second game than when you host the first, you only become relaxed hosting the second only if you won the first with a good margin.

Maybe it all depends on the circumstances. I know it wasn't in the Europa League, but in the Champions League: do you remember the game when Liverpool was 0-3 down against Barcelona after the first leg? Can you imagine that Liverpool would have turned it around ever, if they played the second game away from home? I can't. I think this unbelievable event was only possible because the Reds had the full force of their fans supporting them at Anfield Road. Without the fans and the explosive atmosphere that miracle would have never been possible. That is why I think it can be an advantage to play the second game at home.

That totally depends on the mentality from the club. When you were losing a lot of margins in the first leg then your mentality will be also getting very big burden. This makes you can't think properly about the way to beat your opponent and doing comeback.
It was happening to the a few club but mostly of teams that lost huge margins in the european competition were always unable to make its comeback in the second leg. This is why winning the first leg with huge margins would be putting more confidence rather than the second leg.

What you said that above was happening with liverpool but you forgot that if mostly cases the team that won in the first leg with huge margins were getting more advantage compared to the team that was getting home as the second game.
It's caused by when you lost in the first leg then the pressure is also giving you more burden and this means your chance to qualify became even smaler and your shoulder has lot of hope to make it happen.

Yes, injuries will always be problem for football team, but there are also some teams that, when key player is injured, can still play well and maintain the quality of play like perfect squad.

Liverpool will be their biggest challenge this season. They are on the top of the Premier League right now, looking very good right now. But we cannot forget about other teams as well.

Leverkusen, West Ham, Villareal, AC Milan are also the favorites to win it. What Xabi Alonso and his team Leverkusen have achieved this season is totally unbelievable. They are still undefeated and are ahead of Bayern Munich which is a very very good achievement. They broke some of the Bundesliga records of Bundesliga this season as well. West Ham has always been a strong Premier League team. Teams from La Liga except Real Madrid, Barcelona and Atletico Madrid are always underestimated in European competitions but they always prove others wrong. Villareal could be underestimated here as well. AC Milan are also doing not bad and could be one of the favorites.
