Agree. We don't need to expect too much for the good result of AS Roma. When AS Roma could be the finalist last season, it was under Mourinho management and AS Roma was in a good condition. It is very different with the current condition, AS Roma is no longer under Mourinho management and AS Roma squad looks not convincing to go far in Europa League. I am even not sure really sure that AS Roma can qualify for the next round. In this play-offs round, AS Roma will play against Feyenoord, it is not a weak team. I don't think the injury Salah is suffering right now is a serious one. I hope to see him recovering in a short time however I assume he wouldn't return from AFCON early as long as Egypt aren't eliminated. No matter what he can still be back until their Europa League matchup is decided. In the end Liverpool finished their group as the leader so they won't play in the current round.

But if Salah's injury is a really serious one unlike my expectation then a really tough time period is waiting for Liverpool in every tournament they are playing in. Because Salah is really the most important player in the attacking line at the moment.

I think I slightly disagree. In general you are right and I think it should be safe to assume that they take these competitions seriously. But if a team is used to playing in the Champions League and is then playing against some no names in the Europa League, I believe that it makes a huge difference mentally for these teams. I think it is only normal when a team can't be as motivated when the opponent is called Saint Gilloise instead of Real Madrid. Whatever the players want to do about it, I think there is naturally more excitement and motivation when a club plays against the best teams in the world. That's why it isn't all that easy for a club like Barcelona to play in the Europa League.

The motivation got by the small club to beat the big club will not help a lot. The big is still having the biggest chance to beat the small club. I think that theorically, the big club is still having the biggesr chance to win the game even though the small club gets more motivation to face the big club.
I think that it will be changing the situation a lot. The probability for a club that has been motivated to win the game wills till small. There was no a lot of strong clubs participated in this competition. The best clubs are always competing for the UCL.

Hearing the latest news, Mohammed Salah suffered an injury that was worse than initially thought. Even though many hoped that the injury suffered by Mohammed Salah would not be too serious so that Mohammed Salah could immediately return to Liverpool and return to strengthening the Premier League that club, but because of the injury he suffered Moh Salah is quite serious so he could be absent for quite a long time and could be almost 4 weeks, which means Salah could miss Liverpool's match in the Europa League which will be held in February.

From some of these discussions I have come to conclusion that matches at UEL are sometimes not priority for big clubs and could be a priority for small club for the reason that big clubs prioritize their position to remain safe in  points table of each domestic league.
So betting on  a underdogs profitable choice because from the conclusion we are talking about, this really reasonable reason.

Liverpool finished the group stage of the UEFA Europa League as the winner of their group and that's why they will not be playing in the knockout round play-offs that'll be played on 15th and 22nd February. They play in the competition again in during the round of 16 that'll be played in 7th and 14th March which will be five weeks from now.

One of the most exciting matchups in this round seems to be Feyenoord - Roma. The first game is in Netherlands on February 15th. As Roma have changed their manager and brought Daniele De Rossi I really am curious about their journey from now on. Actually Mourinho didn't have any problem in such competitions. He just couldn't meet the expectations in the Serie A.

So, what kind of expectation is it? I meant that mourinho has been bringing roma from the bottom to top. It was also close enough with the 4th position in serie a. There's nothing wrong with him but the party that needs to be blamed must be roma's management.
The club has been performing so poorly and this is also the main reason mourinho kicked out from the club. Feyenoord was not a team that can be underestimated. The club can also perform better than roma.
The transition that is still happening in roma makes the club played so poorly and this is the main problem. Roma may not perform better than when mourinho was still there.

But still it is important for De Rossi to be competitive in the Europa League now. Because joining the Champions League must be Roma's main target to achieve. They should be aiming the title here and finishing the Serie A in top four area both.

Actually there performance has already reduce do to the injury of Mohammed Salah because if Mohammed Salah had been on that match there is every chances that Liverpool would have won the match because there last meeting was not easy on Fulham because Mohammed Salah put a big pressure on them but watching there match yesterday the pressure was not that strong, although I'm not saying that Liverpool will no longer perform well but on the contrary what I'm saying is that the performance of Liverpool will no longer be the same again since Mohammed Salah is not there, however is going to affect there position on all the leagues they are  because other team will take advantage and push them down from there current position on the table.

The only thing that has changed a lot of romas has a new coach. Im doubting the performance from roma against feyenoord. Feyenoord was not that strong but since roma needs to adapt with the new coach and it makes the thing becomes even harder for roma to pass this stage.

Roma needs to put more effort to defending from feyenoord's attack soon. This is going to be a tough game for roma and i have no doubt that if the club will be playing badly against it.

There is a difference at Roma side though. They have brought De Rossi to the coach position. Do you think that he can be successful as Mourinho in such European tournaments I mentioned? Because the Europa League title must also be a target for them.  

There are numerous differences that set him apart from Mou. He has no experience in the european competition and how can i call that roma to compete with feyenoord while the club has only amateur coach who is now managing the club?
This is going to be a very important match for roma caused by it was able playing in the final last season. it will be so bad if roma will be out from europa league against feyenoord.

I don't think that Roma would get eliminated by Feyenoord. These two teams faced each other in the Conference League and Europa League in the recent times. Roma beat them to win the Conference League title and eliminated them from the Europa League later on. I don't see much change in balances between these teams now either.

Im not that sure im already said this before, but i see Feyenoord much more like a team, and AS rome always lack that team thing, theya re much more like a bunch of good players playing togheter, and now without Mourinho they lost also some winner aura.
