Not only Liverpool, even Leverkusen who were highly favored at that time had to experience defeat, and what was even more surprising was that it was their first defeat and the only defeat they felt last season. Atalanta definitely doing something right, this Gasperini dude took a few years to get here, btu he really took the team from almost nothing to here, and that's something awesome. I am guessing that he is going to keep growing the team as well, and team management looks incredibly happy with him, not just right now because he won the Europa because they were happy with him before that too and kept him around anyway, which shows how much they trust him. I guess hat we are going to end up with something that could get a little better, so at the end of the day it is going to be something that could change things, it is going to end up being a little different and could be very important if he stays another decade.

Also, several teams from the Champions League will qualify for the Europa League.

Under the new format of UEFA champions league and europa league, no team from the champions league will qualify for the europa league and all teams that won't advance to the round of 16 will be eliminated.

This is going to be a tough competition from onset. This new format will make all clubs to be serious during their first matches they’ll be playing against each other like a league type. No team will give up and they’ll try as much as possible to gather enough points that’ll make them finish in the top table amongst other teams that’ll be qualifying to the next round of the competition. It doesn’t matter how many matches you’re losing in your group, just make sure you finish in a position worthy of been promoted to the next round of the Champions league as there are now second chance in the Europa League like before. I now wonder how Europa League will also be played next season. The champions league is well understood and I can’t wait for the competition to begin next season because of the competitiveness we will be witnessing there.
