Well, keeping in mind their parents cared enough about him to provide him with a path towards education and economical stability, I would dare to say they might not go as far as kicking him out the house. However, I understand your point, there are been many cases of parents who do exactly that and for even less important reasons, like sexuality of their children or the disapproval of a romantical partner.
I highly agree on your point of parents needed to be educated on addictions and how to treat someone with such problem (beyond the initial outrage they could feel)
The children had loss his emotion control and committed suicide for few dollars.The children who involved had forgot about their parents cared on him and if he get into their parents.The parent may just scold him or beat him.Now the entire life of the children was no more.The gambling site should check of random and doesn’t allow the children into the gambling.Even if their parents kick that children from the house,he can survive without their parents.But he is no more for their children,the parents also grew their children with more guts.
In reality, the casino or bookie which this young man used could not nothing to prevent this tragedy to happen, to them this person could have just been a regular gambler who was losing money, like thousands on their platform. If one as user does not let know one is having problems of addiction and wish to self exclude, then casinos won't do anything.
Anyways, this is kind of disaster I would never wish upon anyone.
