You know the truth: I don't just believe YouTubers or influencers on social media platforms. Because most of them are not telling the truth. Especially for those who have a lot of followers or subscribers, of course there are video editors who are hired so that the impact of their content will be good enough to attract most of the viewers on any social media platform.

Even with affiliate marketing, I don't believe in what they do, because they are the number one that will benefit from the promotion they do, and that's normal because any social media platform today is also a business that can be used to get income, meaning the majority of the content they make just for the views is not credible.

Advertised sites are not endorsed by the Bitcoin Forum. They may be unsafe, untrustworthy, or illegal in your jurisdiction.

Affiliate is a passive money making methode.
You bring users to a website and you actually own part of the fees they generate without the trouble of managing / creating the website itself.

The more users you invite, the bigger the possibility to earn big money.

Mostly its all micro-amounts. But if you are lucky enough to invite a highroller, you may get rained on with "free passive money"

Those who create videos and share them on YouTube want to earn extra money from people who join through their shared links.
We don't need to run away from them because they are just sharing something that might be useful for other people and they also don't force people to register.
Many followers follow their ways of making money so some can also make money.
We don't have to trust what they offer because they might not use it and just spread it to get money from sponsors and that's how they make money.
And if anyone registers themselves using the link shared by that influencer, that influencer gets additional commission from their followers.
I also don't like videos like that and will move on to other interesting videos.

Just wondering for the sake of it, if crypto trading was so profitable for so many influencers and YouTubers, why would they care so much about affiliate money…?
Because they want more money. I mean who doesn't want more money right? If you can double your earnings thru affiliate marketing then I guess there's noting wrong about that. Many are doing it, and it will continue for a very long time as long as these types of influencers are in Youtube. If I'm in their spot right now, and I'm good at trading, but at the same time, I've given the opportunity to promote a legit thing, and I will earn from it then I'll grab it.

Why take the trouble of creating, editing and uploading so many videos?
Money.

They want more money, but that doesn't mean that they're greedy. It's just that they also have things to pay, and they will maximize their time as much as possible. They know that if they will take time creating, editing, and uploading videos on Youtube, they will earn from it, aside from the fact that they're profitable in trading as well.

Does this mean that if you see any YouTuber or crypto “celebrity” pumping a product or trying to make a buck out of content, that you should run away from them? ‘Cos why take so much trouble if you are already making money with your trading? Of course not everyone is a trader, but…
That will depend on you already. If you want to support that influencer, and you have spare money as well then you can try the product that your favorite influencer is promoting. As for me, I did watch some crypto-influencers, but I never invested, or bought any product that they're promoting.

I honestly can't remember the last time I saw a video made by a crypto influencer. I used to watch them but that was a long time ago. The reality is that when we are truly a crypto trader then we are always much busier focused on our trading. And we are also busy looking for fundamental information that is useful for our trading.

But it is possible that the influencers who create video content on YouTube are also professional traders. It's just that when they get a lot of viewers or followers, I also know that income from YouTube is actually higher. And the process of making videos actually doesn't make us too stressed. And will not be afraid of experiencing losses. That's why there may be many traders who actually change professions to become affiliates or YouTubers. Because they know that even though trading in crypto is also profitable, there are also big risks that they have to face. And when they have found a better way to make money with less risk, namely by creating YouTube video content by sharing their trading skills, then I think it makes a lot more sense. Maybe I should also start learning to make videos and become a content creator  Grin
I would say making videos everyday and putting a lot of effort into them is still a lot of work, it just depends on the income. If you are a person who makes a video once every two days, then you will realize that you are going to spend all that 2 days making the video, takes hours to shoot it, and hours to edit it.

If you are getting viewed tens of thousands of times, then it does make sense and you could end up making a profit from it, and youtube income will be amazing in that case. But, if you are getting maybe just one or two thousand views per video, that would mean that you are going to get 300-400 thousand per year, that's it and the income for that would be less than a thousand dollars, and that's not worth it for a years worth of work.

Honest question, what to think about “crypto” affiliates or influencers?
As far as I know, affiliates and influencers can be said to both market or recruit users, through advertising how to trade crypto on YouTubers as a whole, as you can see, However, the two sources did not actually carry out crypto trading as seen, they only edited it to look like it was real and actually happened, to attract crypto users.

What differentiates affiliates & influencers is: [1] Their affiliates are required and obliged to attract users to trade, usually we will see a reference link in the description of their YouTuber channel, the more users, the affiliate can get a high percentage of the exchange and [2] the influencer only does advertising, Influencers don't care whether users trade or not, the point is: they are only for advertisers on YouTubers, because they are paid in advance by the owner of the crypto trading exchange or based on a rate card.

For this reason, don't be surprised if you see them taking great pains to edit, create content and so on so that it looks good and perfect, because they do it for money, not based on their experience.

Trading is not an activity for 1 hour or 5 hour, but for many hours. Apart from that, when you are tired of trading, you still have the enthusiasm to make videos! their work is purely as content creators, they only use their trading activities to attract viewers to register through their affiliate links, trusting them is fine but don't trust them 100%.

That is still not really a smart move. I mean just because you want to trust that influencer and just because you have the money for it, doesn't mean that you should be free to make a mistake. I mean you ARE free to make a mistake but that doesn't change that it's a mistake. We should be careful about it and not really make these kind of mistakes, we should be careful about it.

I personally believe that the best thing to do would be making sure that it is going to end up with a solution that would be a lot worse and should be a lot better on the long run. I think we could end up with a result that would change things for the long term and for that to be important we need to end up with a deal that would help people and this will not help them.

People are looking for fame or like to create content, but it is easy to know if the YouTuber likes that or is a paid text. Paid texts and advertisements make the YouTuber’s content very variable. Every day he will tell you to invest in something new and completely different from the past because he is looking for profit, and here you should. Stay away. The YouTuber who preaches on creating content and sharing the entire experience, whether good or bad, and with all the circumstances it went through, is the one who makes affiliate money as if it were additional money, and if it does not exist, it will continue to work. It is just like those who have a lot of Bitcoin and yet they are present in the forum.
Whether if they are for fame and they want sponsors as much as possible, they are still creating a content. Usually if the content that they are promoting is a paid one, there will be a "paid" word that we will in that video.

The creator can also say it whether in the caption or within the video. I like it if they does this because it can give us a disclaimer about the risk that we might face. Even those creators didn't get a sign up, they can still earn something. For those who don't have a sponsorship, they need to try their best to convince their audience and they can even lie just to get a secure sign-up because this is the only way for them to earn.

I think trading is a hard job, but making a video to tell about trading is even harder. Yes, it is true that there are many YouTubers who do not earn from trading but from paid promotions, or rewards. I think YouTubers who create and upload videos on YouTube and social media accounts on a daily basis do not have time for trading. They only report daily news that promote a project or tell about investing in top coins.

However, there are YouTubers who invest and trade themselves and make videos every few days to educate people about trading or investing, but majority are people who have good followers and on the basis of large number of followers they are hired by various projects to attract people to their projects which they reward them for free.

You are right that there are some of them who also register you with various exchanges through their link, which gives you a discount on trading fees on the exchange. I think no one will be motivated to make videos after getting tired of trading because it is a hard work and tiring job. However, all people talking about trading on social media accounts should be watched, as we can get good experience and information from them, but the decision should always be our own. Trade should be done after doing our own analysis and research.

I strongly dislike the concept of "influencers". They make people do things, not because they believe it makes sense but because they don't realize the person who recommended it uses them to earn money.
This becomes instantly very obvious send influencer's account gets hacked, and naive idiots give a million dollars to a scammer. People should think for themselves.

If you want to influence someone, do it with knowledge instead of fame. Unfortunately, you don't get rich from that, which is why we're stuck with BS "influencers".

The funny thing is: most people who realize people post on Bitcointalk for money, don't realize people post on YouTube for much more money.

Of course not everyone is a trader, but…

I don't see any problem with being a crypto affiliate and an influencer. It only gets bad when they try to feed their viewers with false information just for the sake of earning views and money. Because the time you become a public figure, you are now responsible on your audience because that is your job and you're getting paid for it, and might as well do your job properly. And as viewers, we are also responsible on who we should and should not follow because not all information we see on medias should be consumed. I would also like to emphasize that not everyone we see on social media is an influencer, it is actually a big word and it should not be used by anyone who just posted video on youtube and the likes, and then quoted themselves as an influencer. Because for you to become an influencer, you should have a wide knowledge about a certain expertise, for example crypto, and you should be able to influence your audience positively. I have known several influencers, and I still follow them up until now because they've become a big help for me when I was just starting to learn about crypto.

It seems like it's undeniable that a lot of people believe influencers, even if the information or whatever they deliver is ultimately garbage. I wouldn't say all influencers are self-serving, but most of them are. They get paid and they don't care about the impact of what they say or do on their followers. You could say the benefits are for him and his followers or people who believe in him, and the losses are only for his followers.
Some of them are responsible, but some of them are not. But we can't stop this, because this is part of the times. It is up to us to filter which ones we can follow and which ones we should not.

Whether following or trying out to buy or deal up with things on what you do see on the influencer that you've been wathcing.Cant really be denied that these fellas could really make out that kind of influence in regarding into the decisions that you would be making and they arent called "influencers" if they arent really those people who dont influence someone. lol. This is why it would really be that wise or making use of your own common sense when it comes to decision making specially in deal with money or spending because if you do let yourself that easily get influenced or following someone in regarding your decisions then it most likely it would really be ending up on a disaster and this is something that must be avoided.

Make your own decisions basing with your own intellect. Its not bad on following someone but dont make these people as your idols or the ones who would really be dictating out on the things that you must do because
in the end of the day which you are the ones who would really be that affected on the time that you had made out bad decisions and this is something that needs to be look upon. There are people who are really that
very hard headed on which they would really be doing things which they do have in mind until they do get wrecked up and this is where late realization would kick in.

Just wondering for the sake of it, if crypto trading was so profitable for so many influencers and YouTubers, why would they care so much about affiliate money…? Why take the trouble of creating, editing and uploading so many videos? Does this mean that if you see any YouTuber or crypto “celebrity” pumping a product or trying to make a buck out of content, that you should run away from them? ‘Cos why take so much trouble if you are already making money with your trading? Of course not everyone is a trader, but…
And that is the question every single would-be trader needs to ask to themselves, if a person is making a killing with their trades then they will have no desire to share that information with anyone, as what is the point of putting a target on your back and tell anyone that cares to listen that you are making a lot of money by trading? In that case the right thing to do is to stay quiet and tell no one, and since influencers do the opposite then it is easy to guess they are making no money through trading.

Affiliates and YouTubing is totally fine! Yes, you might be making money trading, but do you know what's better? Making money by trading AND making money through affiliates and YouTube revenue. As long as you do affiliate marketing and YouTubing in a moral and ethical manner.

As for pump and dumpers and people doing fake TA, fuck them.
That’s how people these days are maximizing their income because they never focus into a single source of income. Instead of sole trading, if they think they have the high knowledge and trading skills, then affiliating and YouTubing are just perfect for them. As long as they never feed people with wrong information, that’s actually very fine. They can get decent profits out from them, even much higher than what they can gain from trading.

Crypto affiliates and influencers only do their job, namely influencing their followers or audience in general to follow those they affiliate or influence. In this case, when they are paid to promote or influence other people and especially work together as affiliates, they will do various things to attract new customers or their users. In this case, it could be that they actually don't care what the project is, but they only care about the rewards they can get when more and more people watch or even participate directly through their affiliates. This will be profitable for them. So most of them won't care what happens next to the people.

If their jobs are potentially harmful for their followers, they should think deeply and carefully before taking action. They are influencers because they have high number of followers, big communities so they must think more carefully before they shill any project, even they think it is their job.

As a person who does not have many followers, my words mean nothing and won't affect many people but as a big influencer, if they shill a scam project, many of their followers will be scammed.

In some nation like in the UK, shilling projects will be regulated more and considered as illegal. They will ban all advertisement of gambling casinos in Premier League.

This is why as a viewer then you should really be that wary about on the videos or streams that you are really that seeing. You are on the age which you could already think on whats good and whats bad and its really just that impossible that you cant really be able to assess which things are meant to be dealing with or something that must avoid. Its true that they are really just doing things and been paid on what them told to do so and its never been their concern on what their viewers would really be ending up, unless if its a scam then they would really be that included into those people who would really be needing to face up the consequences but for a known influencer then it would be impossible that they would carelessly accepting offers or jobs that would really be tarnishing out their reputation that they had built for so long.

It is really just that there are people who are really that naïve and really that following someone blindly and making out deposits directly just because they are seeing that the influencer is really that making huge
money specially on gambling and they would really be reflecting themselves to be winners until they would be busting out themselves and crying out like babies and ending up on regreting.
This is just as normal scenario i should say.

To those that have money, money is not always enough for them. If you invite or introduce them to a new business, they will jump into it fully to make more money from it without minding the risk involved.

The information they say is "power" and some of those online influencers that are into affiliated marketing are doing it for the money.  They don't care about the information they dish out to the general public whether is something that will bring people's downfall or not. That's not their concern as long as there is pay at the end of each affiliated video uploaded.

That is why you see many people turning themselves into crypto influencers because of the likes, views, and money they will end up getting at the end of the trading videos they uploaded
