Will you gamble till old age or not

I'm not sure if I'm going to reach a certain age. I don't think that I will grow really old.
Maybe I'm too pessimistic, but I think that I'm not going to make it. Another thing is that I hate making long term plans.
You never know what is going to happen tomorrow, so making plans about what you are going to do with your life at the age of 70 or 80 seems ridiculous. I will keep wasting time and money on gambling in the upcoming years. I have no intent to quit.

Mapping out plans for long-term, ofcourse that doesn't suit our standards, one could not predict what will happen the next minute or hour, this is life and it comes with unexpected results, more reason we should prepare ourselves to face the worst. For me, I'm sticking to making good plans that I'm aware won't affect me. Old age will catchup with all of us, is just a matter of time, some of us will live up to old age while some will not, we just hoped for the very best out of life. Why would I want to engaged in gambling activities till old age? Ofcourse I'm able to gamble at my youth and have experience both good and terrible scenarios in gambling.

I cannot provide a certainty to answer this kind of question. There may be times when you have to stop gambling sooner than expected depending on the family's financial condition. So far I have prioritized my family's needs, some of the remaining money from my income is used for investing and the other part I use for gambling. When my income starts to decrease, I will stop gambling. I made this choice so that the money that should be used for family needs is not taken for gambling.

If you have convinced yourself that you can stop gambling and can still think about earning income for your family's needs, that means you are not a gambling addict, maybe you are just a gambler who might just have fun by gambling as entertainment, but only you know about yourself. it's good if you can still think about your family's needs because not all gamblers can think about that, I also do the same thing as you so I understand what you mean.

Not all forms of gambling are nerve racking, for example limit poker can be a very relaxed kind of game as there is a limit on the bets you can make and if you are gambling at the appropriate limits for yourself then you could play for hours and only lose a small amount of money, even if you are not very good at it, so I could see many people still gambling until their old age since it could be a good way for older people to keep their mind sharp.

I think a question like this will be best answered by simply going to a brick n mortar casino and observing the many old people that are gambling there every day.

I think a lot of them cannot work anymore and they dream of a huge jackpot hit that will help them to boost their Pension fund.... or they have enough money, but they are just bored and they looking for some entertainment to keep them busy. 

More like that's their only past time now that they're done doing work although I agree with that they're not working anymore, I can't say that it's a certain thing. I have seen a lot of these old people still working or are coming from work when they arrive in these casinos although these old people really don't have that classic 9 to 5 job, some of them are probably taxi drivers or something that's not really the same as a basic jobs out there. I don't think that it's their goal to boost their pension though, I feel like most old people that are retired and are gambling don't really have that thing in their mind, they just want to spend their days relaxing and it seems that most of them have gambling as their way of relaxing. I think anything for survival beyond the age of active service is somehow not good. There is a reason for the retirement age and it is not far from the need to rest the body and brain to be able to live longer. So, I don't see why someone should be actively gambling beyond sixty years.

I even see gambling as something for the youths and I don't really feel comfortable seeing those who are supposed to be retired from active service, still lining up in gambling shops. It makes me scared as I picture myself in that situation which I presume to be a failed life even if it might not be true. I will not do that anyways because by that age, I should have establish a good business empire that will be managed by my children while I watch from behind.

The answer to whether I can gamble till old age depends on the reason why I'll have to gamble till my old age, I believe that at old age people must have good reasons to engage in any activities, because their bodies must be tiring. If gambling gives me fulfilment and i have enough savings to gamble, so even if i lose it won't affect me emotionally, then I'm good for it. At old age it should be about what really makes you happy because at that age death can occur at anytime. Although personally I'm not into gambling, so i don't see myself gambling in old age, but who knows i can become very rich and decide to gamble responsibly in my old age, just for adventure and the fun of it. No matter my financial situation in my old age, whether rich or poor, I'll never engage in gambling for the purpose of making money, that'll be desperation and not good for the mental health at that age.

This is why it is good to do all our hustling when we are young, so in our old age, we'll focus on relaxation and engaging only in things that makes us happy.
