Nine months is long but it varies on what type of learner you are. I think if you're done with the teaching lessons and that teacher of yours want an extension. Think of it first if it's worth it.

Because it's possible that guy just want to have to secure himself nine months of having a side hustle through you.

If you can do it on your own with that span, you'll learn more and if the firs teaching sessions were enough and you think are worth it then you can continue without him. Anyway, it's your personal choice if you'll keep and hire him as your mentor.

How long it takes to learn trading depends on how who is teaching you.
Are you paying to be taught or are you going to be self-taught?

You are likely to learn faster if you have a trading coach. The time you would have spent researching a question and finding the answer to some trading problem would have been answered by your trading coach within minutes.

Another factor to learning trading is are you learning full time or part-time. By full time, you are giving all your attention to learning it by part-time you have other jobs and you learn at your pace. Those who learn trading full time will start applying the principles of trading faster than those who are learning trading part-time.
I would say that learning from others and learning all by yourself is not as different as people think it is. I understand that when you talk about "learn from others" you are talking about someone actively teaching you, but even if you are learning all by yourself, you are technically learning from someone else because all the books you read all the videos you watch all the articles you check they are all made by someone.

I would prefer that of course, because I would be able to learn it from many different people and the result will definitely be great, I know that it shouldn't be all that different or difficult but that is what you should be doing in the end, it will give you a better approach to it one way or another, would be smarter to have different views.

Yes, it is true that it takes a long time even months to learn in trading because there is not a lot of knowledge that we must know about trading, and all depends on different people in learning there are those who are really serious or who are only enthusiastic at the beginning. People who want to learn for a long time may be people like this who are really serious about understanding trading because they know trading is not something to play around with but it is about the profit or loss they will get.

Do you need a mentor or director in something like this? in my opinion, it is necessary with the aim of taking learning strategies in predicting, because it is impossible in trading to use only one strategy because it will not last forever. but do not make a benchmark by always following the directions of others as well because it will not determine the future, of course the choice is in our own hands that will determine the future how. So in my opinion, it takes a lot of knowledge to understand trading so that it is not wrong to predict and can be profitable in the future for ourselves.

And in my opinion, nine months is very detrimental, it would be better if we only need to learn the basics and then start developing it ourselves slowly and even that can be done while trading or it is better to learn it ourselves while doing direct trading, I used to be like that but fortunately I have a community so it's easier to ask if there's something I don't understand.

I spoke to a tutor who teaches trading, and he said for his lectures, he teaches for an extended period of nine months for anyone who wants to learn trading from him. Please I like to read the personal experience of some traders here, how long did it take you to learn to trade profitably, and what was the hardest thing to learn? did it take you weeks, months or years? Do you think that trading can be learnt well in a short time like three weeks for a quick trader? Can someone who is a proffesional trader just go straight to the point pointing out what is needed to make a successful trader to a newbie to learn quickly?

Acquiring knowledge of trade to ensure comprehension I don't think there should be a time limit on how long it takes someone to learn something; instead, it should just rely on how serious they are and how quickly they pick things up. Certain people will only need to study trading for a short while before they fully grasp it and begin to benefit from it, while others will need to master it for a considerable amount of time before they do.

Remind us once more that knowledge is a continual process and does not end. If an individual wishes to maintain success in their trading career they must never stop learning new things about trading, and that the only way we can continue growing  about trading career.

Learning then practice and it takes time for both to achieve knowledge from learning then experience from practice.

Trading is a hard adventure and it's hard to succeed. Practice is very important to succeed in trading but don't forget that about 10% or less traders can get profit in trading. A newbie trader should not gamble all money when only starting in trading. Cost of learning and practice in trading is very expensive for all traders so a newbie must have secondary plan to be safe and not let trading cost to destroy his life.

After a few months or two to three years in trading, if you can not get profit, you must stop it and never mind of trading again. Investing will be your choice because you don't have required personal characteristics for success in trading. Investing is easier than trading and you only have to pick a good asset, like Bitcoin and have enough patience to hold it. Profit will come if you can hold your bitcoin and it's more easily than trading.

I don't care how long it takes because everyone has a different understanding of things, therefore it can't take nine months for everyone because some individuals are even slow learners, and even after the tutor, you will continue to study.daily learning is important. Learning to trade includes a lot, and you may even become disheartened at some time. It is best to persevere, as many people do so when they first begin.

Learning trading would really be entirely be depending on someones dedication and perseverance on learning it because if you dont have that passion and seriousness about learning it then there's no way that you could really be able to do it on a few months but might be taking up years depending or basing up with someones realization and learning curve. If you are that someone who do prefer on having a mentor then its your choice
but actually you could really be able to learn trading for yourself without the need of those yet every sources and information could really be searched on online. It would really just that matter of effort and time
spending on how to deal up with things. It is really just that majority of people would really be that so lazy on trying to search up things and instead they would really be that too reliant with others.

Key thing on here is that you should really not make yourself put up a in a rush in speaking about learning things because this would really be causing those errors and mistakes
on which you should really be avoiding because once you do have that kind of feeling of rushing things up then you are really that prone into those mistakes
which arent really that suggested on the time that you are really that still trying to grasps on everything.

Yes, there might be some teachings that will be repeated for that period of time. I think it's much better if it's like a period of testing strategies and the learnings that OP has got from that mentor.

He's lucky to have it if he has found a legitimate one because most of these mentors are just up for the sale of their lessons and materials. And that's why he's the one to prove whether that mentor is good or not.

Then, it's up to him if he'll still hire him as a guide and mentor for that long.

honestly if you are eager learner and diligent enough a week will suffice, that you will get the gist of trading in general, but not really knowing the ups and downs of the trading.
it definitely requires you to learn so many books to accumulate the experience of trading as well as knowing how the market behave.
there might be some anomaly that going on in the market that might be different from what some books about trading has described but that also something that you will acknowledge along the way.
but overall I don't think it will be a long journey learning how to trade.
after all, even just trying out demo account in a day you already can trade, its all about getting profit from the price movement if you trade in spot.

Learning the basics in trading is easy, as you said, it could only take a week.
However, to learn those strategies could take years and years as you will learn a thing or two everyday you are in trading.
But if you do want to start learning those tips, better start with small funds so you can grasp what's the actual trading looks like.
Also, as each coin or token or any other currency have their different features, there will be no concrete strategy that can work on them. Usually, it is the combination of various factors and you will learn it thru time and experience.

Please I like to read the personal experience of some traders here, how long did it take you to learn to trade profitably, and what was the hardest thing to learn? did it take you weeks, months or years?
In the past, I personally studied crypto trading in terms of material, it only took two weeks to understand it. I do it every day and only read about 1.5 hours a day of articles related to crypto trading. After I understood about crypto trading, I dared to buy my first crypto (altcoin). At that time I bought a coin that was pumping and I bought the coin at a high price. At that time I thought the pumped coins would continue to rise. However, in reality at that time the price of the coin fell drastically and resulted in me losing money. Luckily at that time I didn't use too much capital so I wasn't too stressed when I experienced a loss. However, the important point from this incident is that I learned a very valuable lesson. This is about a coin that is pumping, and should not be bought when the price is very high.

So here I want to draw a conclusion, that learning to trade in the crypto world doesn't take a long time if you read the material. However, studying the material alone will not be enough to create potential profits. However, knowledge from experience is also very much needed in the world of crypto trading. Because usually the subject matter and direct experience are sometimes out of sync. That's why you have to learn crypto trading while practicing it, because I personally think it will be better.

And the most difficult crypto trading lesson for me personally is about learning from experience and about controlling my emotions.

Do you think that trading can be learnt well in a short time like three weeks for a quick trader?
Of course you can, but only from the ingredients. Because as I wrote above, I also studied trading materi in crypto which only took two weeks. So in my personal opinion, three weeks is a long enough time to learn crypto trading material.

However, if you want to learn all the knowledge such as materi science, psychology (controlling emotions) and trading experience, I think three weeks is not enough. Because psychology and experience cannot be learned just like that, the point is that it takes time to learn these two lessons. And it will appear after trading in the crypto market.

I would say it zeros back to nothing eventually. I have seen my wife trying to learn drawing on a pad for the past 3 months or so, even a little more, I bought her that pad so that she could draw and ignore the health issues she would have, and truth be told she did draw almost everyday for the first 2 weeks, but after that she started to draw maybe once ever two weeks, so that would make it like about 6-7 times in the last 2.5 months.

I could easily say that every time she picks up, she doesn't improve but just stays the same level because she has to keep remembering what she learned each time, because there are so many breaks in between, and that makes her not improve a bit. Trading is similar, if you "learn" once every two weeks, you are going to forget about what you last learned, and you will have to refresh your memory first and try to put something on top of it again and you will not move fast. You need to be studying everyday to have substantial improvement.

Regarding my experience I need more than three months later for understanding with learning bitcoin, but its basic knowledge about trading such as deposit and withdrawing way until how to learn with chart in trading. I started from zero lack knowledge with bitcoin because first time knowing bitcoin when joining many hype investment project by using bitcoin as payment method. Actually not really difficult learn trading depend brave or not to try investing or trading in real market and real fund. Some people still try with demo account when trading in bitcoin and afraid for losing their fund after learning day by day with trading.

Its not really important with theory or how many book referrence with bitcoin education but how brave for practice and try directly with trading in bitcoin or altcoin.

Of course, the time it takes to learn to trade varies greatly from person to person. It depends on many factors such as your prior knowledge, your dedication, the learning method, and the resources you use. For some, it might take a few months to understand the basics and start trading profitably, while for others, it might take several years of constant practice and continuous learning. Structured courses, like the one you mentioned, can often accelerate this process, but there are no shortcuts guaranteeing success. There is, in fact, no guarantee of success at all.

Learning to trade in three weeks might be possible if you dedicate a tremendous amount of time and effort, but it’s unlikely that you’ll master all the necessary skills to trade profitably and consistently in such a short period. Trading involves a deep understanding of the markets, technical and fundamental analysis, risk management, and more.

A professional trader could certainly share valuable advice and effective strategies, but there's no "secret recipe" for success in trading. Moreover, each trader has their own approach, suited to their style and risk tolerance. Many find that managing emotions and maintaining constant discipline are the most challenging aspects of trading. This goes beyond simple market knowledge and requires a deep understanding of oneself and one’s reactions to market fluctuations.

In summary, it’s essential to remember that trading is a skill that requires continuous education, constant practice, and improvement over time to remain profitable in the long term. Be prepared to invest time and effort in your learning and be patient.

How long? Well, the answer will depend on how long we adapt to the market condition and when we are fully confident that we can perform well.
But for me, it doesn't matter if ever it takes 1 year for at least we know that we are not wasting our time doing this and see results from days, months, or even years of learning. Learning about trading is continuous, the more we do actual trading, the more we learn about it.

So, if we think there are shortcuts, well, there are but we couldn't think the output of our trades is good and profitable, it is for sure more on losses.

How long? I think, as an experienced trader, forever, why? Because even if you earn from trading, your technical analysis or execution of your skills, such as chart mapping or indicators, will never have 100% accuracy, and your input will still have a margin of failure. I'm not saying you will need 100% accuracy to earn. It's just that the crypto market, or the market itself, is unpredictable sometimes. Even if your mapping is good, the market could be affected by many factors. There will be a lot of losses in the trading journey; it's up to you how you cope with them if you can take them. Trading requires more than just technical or analytic skills; you should have a strong mind to take the losses. Even I, an experienced trader, sometimes feel like a failure, but that doesn't stop me from achieving my goal, which is to be a successful trader mainly in crypto.

It's not actually hard to learn trading knowing there are already steps being set to follow when trading. For me, trading for weeks or a month is good enough. But when you say profitable trading, that one should be learned the hard way. Most likely it will take years before you can consider yourself as a reliable and profitable trader, and it takes a lot of experiences to make you learn out from all your varied mistakes and losses. Believe it or not, even professional traders still cannot assure consistent profits when trading as they still experience some inevitable losses that are definitely hard to avoid.

Moreover, learning trading does not only focus on the learner/trader itself as the capacity and expertise of the mentor also counts. If the mentor trader can easily goes down to the level of the learner at first, I think that is a good strategy for the trader to learn quickly as the mentor can easily asses on what needs to be improved to become a successful and profitable trader.

Maybe that depends on the individual who wants to learn trading in crypto. There are other students who do not take what they are studying to heart. Is it the type where you just memorize but don't know the context of what you know? You just went through a lesson, but later you will forget what you studied.

It's unlike that; once you come across something you discover, you can't get it out of your mind because you have the interest and passion to learn. I was also a year or more before I really had an understanding of reading chart trading, to be honest, and I'm not ashamed because at least I learned to understand it somehow, even now that I'm still studying it.

This happens in different ways for different people, there are people who are able to independently master new material very well, of course, for such people it will not make much difference whether they study the subject of interest on their own or not. But there are those who can stop at elementary points and without outside help they will not be able to move further, or will master this subject relatively poorly.

I tend to think that the average person will get better results if they work with a tutor than if they study the material on their own. It also depends on how high-quality material they can find for study. I think that if you want, you can find almost everything that might be interesting to you.
