I don’t think keeping records is a must or does it gain an advantage for us gamblers. Simply because gambling is not skill based that the more you are exposed to losses, the more you become better in gambling. Maybe in trading it’s actually a must but in gambling, knowing it’s a kind of thing that aims to entertain us, for me that’s not really important. It’s okay for me to lose because that’s what gambling is all about, making us lose so that all the profits will go direct into the house. Except for lucky gamblers, but for most of us, we all make losses and keeping records of our wins and losses still does not guarantee us to become skilled and profitable gamblers.

Good day crypto Famz, I will like to ask gamblers this question, is there any gamblers on here that keeps record of their wins and losses? Do you keep a record of all the pennies you use to gamble and also the result?

If you intend to gamble for profit or perhaps gamble as a job then keeping a record of all the money you use for gambling is important. By having records, it will be easy for you to calculate your expenses and profits while gambling, and calculate the total profits

However, for me who uses gambling as entertainment, even though it is sometimes stressful if I often lose, I don't think it's necessary. I only gamble if I have money and I am ready if the money I use for gambling runs out

I don't think taking notes when gambling doesn't make you a good or bad gambler, I think bad gamblers are those who spend all their money on gambling without thinking about other consequences when they run out of all that money.

I don't keep a detailed record of such, but I do keep a record of how much money is going out of my wallets every time I gamble or bet on something. It's something that is important more than keeping track of your win/loss IMO. You will be aware of what's happening with your money if you know how much is going towards leisure and 'fun' activities compared to what you really need to live day by day. Not keeping a record of things doesn't make you a bad gambler, it just makes your financial moves bad because you are not making informed decisions by missing a lot of details.

I do track my winnings and losses. Purpose is to know how much I can gamble for the next days or weeks. It helped me limit my losses and maintain my winnings at the same time unlike before when I was just going all out without being conscious of how much I have lost already. In those instances I got too affected by my gambling behavior and in some instances, pushes a gambler to bet more then followed by addiction. We should be using gambling as a way to just kill time but since it involves money then we should be more aware that things won’t work that way.Is it bad not tracking your losses? Yes no doubt. Don’t wait for that moment that you will question yourself where dis your money go and found yourself looking for money just to get back with what you’ve lost out of frustrations. Start it early.

Keeping track of the spending gives you a detailed information on what have you spent and what you've won out of it. This could help you keep track of which bet have brought you profit and where you've lost it. These days gambling platforms gives the overall profit/loss status which lets us know whether we're on the profit or loss. Keeping track is good, particularly with sports betting. Maybe it can help with further bets on same teams playing in the future.

Keeping gambling records is actually not forced, it's up to you whether you want to record your gambling activities or not, but recording your wins and losses can be a useful practice and maybe it will help you in the future. In fact, recording your gambling activities can provide benefits such as you can see how many wins and losses you experience, whether in 1 month or 1 week - you can get a clear picture of whether your gambling activity is mostly wins or losses and that can be a conclusion for your gambling performance.
And what's more, it can help you to record expenses in your gambling activities, whether it is profitable or not, everything will be available to you and it will help you in managing your finances.
Yes, that's right, at least recording gambling activities can make us more disciplined in spending money. It's important to remember that sometimes gamblers have the ambition to win, so by writing down notes and expenses used for gambling, it can at least make someone more committed to not overdoing things. play so that with these records we can see how far we have played and the extent of the losses we have experienced. Looking at these records can be a reminder and can minimize bigger losses.
Maybe many gamblers don't do this because they don't think that keeping a record of gambling matters is not that important, the most important thing is just playing to achieve their goals, so they don't realize how big a loss they are experiencing before someone else reminds them.

Good day crypto Famz, I will like to ask gamblers this question, is there any gamblers on here that keeps record of their wins and losses? Do you keep a record of all the pennies you use to gamble and also the result?

Someone whom we both have this discuss yesterday said this is a good practice, I still don't see a reason why because I don't keep record of my losses, I tend to only remember when I win a certain amount, if its good enough you won't easily forget, but apart from this I don't care.

So Famz, is there any benefits when one keeps record on their losses and wins? Is there any thing to gain when you write down all the money you spent in gambling and also how much you have made so far?

Not keeping records, does this make me a bad gambler?

It's actually good to monitor you wins and losses in gambling as it will help you to manage your funds, but it is only ideal as it takes lots of time and effort. I do not keep records as well, and it does not mean that it makes me a bad gambler. The only thing that I am doing to monitor my gambling activities is through my fund, as I am setting a strict budget for gambling. That way, I will know how much wins and loss I have earned without keeping a record on my wins and losses. I do not have any physical records or written, all of which are just in my head. It's also a good thing to monitor what kind of gambling games you are favorable, how much I have gain and loss in that game because this will also allow you to pick the most suitable and favorable gambling games for you without keeping records.

I dont see any advantage if you record your winnings and losses in gambling because it is not an investment that you will be tracking every penny to understand where your money is going. Gambling is for entertainment this is like, are you tracking how many bottles of beer you have been drinking in the past few years? Not right? We were just able to remember if we gambled yesterday on how much we spent and won for sure but not the entire year. Also if you are playing online there are records there about your winnings but I still don't bother to check it.

I don't record anything at all and I don't think I am a bad gambler just because of that. It may actually have its own perks because you won't be stressed out at chasing losses if ever you forget how much you spent. This is also the reason why I like betting using cryptocurrencies, that way I won't know how much I spent although I still have a rough estimation of how much was gone.
Some gamblers do like being formal and put it all in a spreadsheet while some just bet whatever they want and let it be so for me it will depend on what kind of a gambler are you.
IMO, keeping track of the records is added work and I just like to enjoy my game as much as possible. Not stressing about the details.

If I knew all the winning and losing records, it would be stressful to see the bad records because I lose more often. Lol
There's no use for me unless other people want to see which ratio has more wins or losses.

So Famz, is there any benefits when one keeps record on their losses and wins? Is there any thing to gain when you write down all the money you spent in gambling and also how much you have made so far?

Not keeping records, does this make me a bad gambler?
I said you will be stressed out mentally seeing a lot of money lost, I feel this has no benefit at all unless you want to know the expenses in gambling, I feel this is not so much of a concern because the basis is fun not making a profit.

Recording the wins and losses you get from gambling can remind you not to exceed your limits in gambling. But if your losses are more than your wins, it's better not to gamble and record them because it can give you a headache thinking about them. You should gamble without any burdens and gamble because you want to have fun so that when you gamble, you won't think about many things other than just having fun.

The advantage of recording your gambling activities is that you can see how much you spend on gambling so you can decide whether you want to continue gambling, reduce your gambling activities, or even stop gambling. You don't become a bad gambler by keeping track of your wins and losses but it is important to know the amount of money you use to gamble.

I don't see the need to keep records because I consider gambling purely for entertainment and don't view it as a serious financial endeavor. However, I think keeping records of gambling activities can be a useful practice for several reasons, but it doesn't necessarily make you a bad gambler if you choose not to do so. It's only for awareness and tracking. If you are serious about gambling responsibly, this can be a helpful tool to gain better control over your habits and finances. For me, it's all about personal choice and a matter of opinion.
Tracking is certainly useful because playing a gambling is still a kind of expense and it's like a tradition for the most of us to track or record all of our expenses. I think this is to see if where our money goes on why it disappeared and maybe it can help us remove the things which are less important next time and use the money in the important ones.

If we are not struggling financially if we are already playing a gambling on the side, then yes we are not a bad gambler. If we are playing online, a gambling site can keep records of our betting data's. We can request it to them if we missed recording it before and we are curious how it looks like now.

Good day crypto Famz, I will like to ask gamblers this question, is there any gamblers on here that keeps record of their wins and losses? Do you keep a record of all the pennies you use to gamble and also the result?
No, I never keep a record, I gamble with money that I can afford to lose, so it is no use keeping a record of money that I allocate for gambling is considered not counted in our budget.

Quote
Someone whom we both have this discuss yesterday said this is a good practice, I still don't see a reason why because I don't keep record of my losses, I tend to only remember when I win a certain amount, if it's good enough you won't easily forget, but apart from this I don't care.
To each is his own on every gambler, some gamblers keep record some do not it really depends on their gambling preferences and their characters some gamblers wants to see how they spend their money in gambling and some just ignore the money that they lose in gambling

Quote
So Famz, is there any benefits when one keeps record on their losses and wins? Is there any thing to gain when you write down all the money you spent in gambling and also how much you have made so far?
Not keeping records, does this make me a bad gambler?

You will just disappoint yourself if you see the money you've lost from gambling, you're not a bad gambler as long all the money you've loss from gambling are money you allocate and you are comfortable losing.

A gambler who keeps the record of their winnings or their losses gives you the benefit of clearly knowing the amount of money you have spend/earned. However, I don't see the need of doing it, AFAIK, gambling sites do have the feature or the data of each user that shows on your profile the trading history that includes your winning amount and losses. It's better and less work on your end.

No, but the chance of losing the track of your game/s is high. Some circumstances might get you like overspending on your gambling activity, missed to keep your winnings, and a lot more.

Honestly, I don't really bother with that anymore. I mean, I used to try keeping records, but it got pretty boring, you know? When what you expect doesn't match up with what actually happens, it's easy to throw in the towel. So, here's what I do now. Whenever I place a bet and get lucky, I cash out right then and there and enjoy the winnings. I see it as a major win and just start fresh in my next gambling session. The whole 'keeping records' thing really only makes sense for games where you have a shot at long-term success. With luck-based games, it's pretty much pointless; you're pretty much guaranteed to lose anyway. All you'd end up tracking is your losses, not your wins.

If you keep records, it may lead to you being hospitalized for a mental issue lol. Why would you want to see how much money you have lost? Most gamblers, that's what they are going to have a record of. If you are a poker player or sportsbetting only, then records would be a good thing, but I wouldn't wanna know my stats for any other sort of gambling.

I guess another way to look at it would be, if you know how much you are losing it may inspire you to quit gambling?
You would really be definitely having that mental issue because if you do see that your losses keeps piling up then it would really be making that kind of thinking that you should really be needing to recover it out and as long you do have the money then you would be thinking that you do need to cope up or break even and you will continue to play as long you do have the balance.
Its not really that suggestable on doing so but if you do want to have some track when it comes to your gambling then its not bad to have but be sure that you should be having that good control
and dont make yourself that changing up the moods on the time that you do see that the numbers are already that increasing due to continous losing or loses is more than with your winning then this most likely the case.

Not keeping records make you a bad gambler? No its not. This is really just that a reference since there are really that people who do really love
on tracking on everything which it is really that part on having that kind of moderation towards your gambling activity.

For me I don't necessarily keep the records by writing it down but I just have it on my head. There are some clubs or team that I mostly keep their records because it helps me to predict very well, I know the position to place my bet when it comes to that team, if I can give them winning or a draw. Keeping records helps you not to repeat a mistake you've once had,
In as much as I keep a good record of my win, I do so as well for my losses. Record keeping makes you a professional gambler, it helps you to understand the intricacies of everything team you want to place your stake on.

If you're thinking about getting into the gambling game, not as an operator but as someone who believes in themselves and wants to give it a shot, remember to keep some records. You know, just like any regular business does. It helps you figure out if you're doing well or not, so you can make the right call on whether to keep going or call it quits.

And hey, when it comes to your own journey, it's a smart move to keep a record of your moves. Trust me, winning in gambling is totally doable, but don't overcomplicate things and rush into it. Take it slow, learn the ropes, and grow over time. If the stress is too much, no need to push yourself too hard. Just have some fun and gamble casually.

It's fine not to keep records of your betting activities. Imagine if you keep a record for more than 10 years of betting. Cheesy But I did think about having a record of my betting activities at least yearly because I want to know if I am winning or not. If you have ample time daily then maybe you can record your betting activities. It will help you improve IMO. More losses means you can start thinking about changing your strategies. More winnings means you will be challenged to do better especially if you are into sports betting where analysis is too important.

It depends on each person.

There are so many influencer always suggest people to create a monthly budget and always write every single cent you spend. But I'm not follow that because it's time wasting and I adopt frugal living which is making sure I will not spend any money for unnecessary thing. If I already good to control myself to spend money, why I need to have a monthly budget?

It's same like this one.
