What you described here is not called "building a career", specially since it sounds like it was a one time thing. A single investment that also doesn't seem to have been with a solid plan, just a simple luck where price went up and produced some profit for the one time investor.
Even a career in this context would be a day trader who makes profit regularly from regularly trading bitcoin not a one time investment.

In any case, a solid career with bitcoin would be an actual business using bitcoin. For example the centralized exchanges, payment processors, online shops, etc. are good examples of other people who built an actual career with bitcoin.

We can definitely say that Bitcoin is the best platform for investment. But it is difficult to determine when is the right time to invest. You said that if someone holds bitcoins at the right time, he can make profit quickly. But even if the word is true but it is difficult to determine the appropriate time. Blockchain developer would probably suit you if you want to make a career out of bitcoin or you can probably do this thing where you ask the management or the payroll of your company that you're working on to pay you in bitcoins, that technically counts as you building a career with bitcoin since you're getting paid with bitcoin. I totally agree. But signature campaign earnings nowadays is quiet low and on my part I cant keep my earnings on my wallet alone because I had to use it for my basic needs. You shouldn't be asking this question in the title because when you look around you (the web) you should see many successful people having a career with Bitcoin. The exchanges are in business because of Bitcoin, the traders, P2P marchants are all in business because of Bitcoin and other analyst companies are all in business because of Bitcoin. Personally we can pick up a career path that involves Bitcoin payment and have a successful career.

I don't consider investment a career because that's something everybody should be doing. Irrespective of what you're doing for survival, we should all be an investor and Bitcoin investing has made that very easy. Bitcoin investment has eliminated the need for brokers or having the privilege of inside information enjoyed by the elites as that was how it was when there was no Bitcoin that you can invest into from the comfort of your bed and follow up your investment as well.

The beauty of Bitcoin is that when you invest at the right time like your brother did, you won't have to wait for so long to make profits but there are times when you Invest when the market is on the path of a decline (after the bull market has ended), you'll have to wait longer than just few months to make profits. This phenomenon seems really interesting, and I think it is definitely best to invest in Bitcoin if a person wants to be financially successful. Since the OP is your older brother, instead of keeping money in the bank, he invested $25,000 in Bitcoin with that money, and he is currently making a profit. We have seen Bitcoin price move between $34k and $35k for several days, and it is in the best possible position. To lucky for your brother that he earn on right time of buying bitcoin since not every time we can earn with it since there are dumping season that can really hurt us financially and change our decision making towards the investment we hold. Yes we can really earn huge amount by investing on bitcoin but we also need to consider those technical aspect so that we can determine on which price is good to have rather than having a random shot where we don't know if we already bought on the top or not since this is risky action and might it can cause a huge lose for us.

The thing about bitcoin is that its ecosystem is so linear and tight-packed that whatever you would need from a regular cryptocurrency, from investing to sending money from across the planet, you can do on bitcoin. The only "career" you could make out of bitcoin in my opinion would be either as a developer, although I myself don't know how you could get into such or if they even allow outsiders anymore, or as a miner, which I must say, is far from what a textbook "career" is. Crypto on the other hand, you could do a lot of shit, write blogs and articles to better advertise cryptocurrencies, Project manage up and coming cryptos, code for new projects and networks, the world is your massive oyster.

Edit: Found out you're not really talking about a career per se but making money out of bitcoin, of course you could but please make a distinction lol. Because in the long run, even if you buy at the very tip and your position is in the red for a few years, by the time the next halving kicks in, you will already be in profit. I think what he means is that writing for signature campaigns is a good way to accumulate and it's also a way to turn bitcoin into a career. He's not saying you should rely entirely on signature campaigns to generate income to support your daily life and build your future. I don't think relying entirely on signature campaigns as your main source of income is a good idea. It's better to have an outside job and try to diversify your sources of income instead of depending on just one source of income.

It is appropriate for you to buy Bitcoin and invest in it with your own money after your older brother has proven it with his own money by making a profit from Bitcoin in just half a year. Even though you should have done that in the past if your older brother already knew about Bitcoin and continued to take risks quite bravely by withdrawing his money from the bank which then invested it in Bitcoin, because in general he is still in the same family as you. Bitcoin is more of a supplement to your financial status. It is not something you should consider a career unless you are using Bitcoin to improve or offer a service or product. You could try trading but calling day-trading Bitcoin a career is also a long shot. You might as well call gambling a career.

You have confused "career" and "investing" in various ways. Making money through a job that includes challenges, tasks to be performed, and a place where you have to prove yourself or show some skills to contribute to the development of projects is entirely different than just investing money into something that will give you return money.

What your brother did was a perfect investment. He bought Bitcoin at the right time and Bitcoin went up pretty high in a short period of time. I would call this the perfect timeline for your brother but this is not the case always. Peeps are out there making DCA investments through years of research and yet many of them have not touched their BEP. I think one could still achieve same goal but with different approach. One could use the market conditions to double, triple or quadruple your Bitcoin holding and see what it's going to be in the next 7 years. Let's say I bought 1 BTC at 35k and sell it during the bull season at 90k in 2025, my Bitcoin would increase to 2.57 BTC. I could reinvest the Bitcoin during the bear market in 2027, less say at $50k (i.e 2.57 BTC should be 128.5$) and sell again during the bull in 2029 at $170k, and that would take my Bitcoin to 8.73 BTC. This is just rough a calculation but I know it's very possible.
