Sincerely I have never heard the thought of what can make me stop gambling since I am not gambling on a large scale but only gamble for the fun of it and nothing more than that,  so most time those around don't know that I gamble and some of which are either novice on what gambling is and also have less concerns about it,  like my wife,  she knows I gamble because I don't hide it from her.

But the sure thing is that she knows I am a responsible gambler and I don't gamble every day and only take it as a lesser activity that may not have any known effect on my well-being at some point so I worry less and don't even have the thought of stopping.

But at some point, if I discover that I am uncontrollably losing money without any result then I will consider quitting or taking a break.

I have tried to stop gambling at some points kn time but it was not easy. Not that I'm addicted to gambling but I tralised there was no point quitting because I have made seriius adjustments in my gambling such that it does not affect me much. As a personal rule, whenever I experience series of losses, o go on a break. I have learnt never to chase losses because it only lead to more losses.

It is possible I will stop when I play over a long range of time and realised winning isn't coming as I expected. While this is possibility, I don't see it happening so soon.

I think a piling up debts and no food in the table to be offered will surely make me quit it. For me having so many debts will discourage a gambler not to gamble or slow it down at least, it may not be that easy but if you really wanted to quit it's your responsibility to take action for yourself. Moreover, in reality we experience that one first before totally regretting it.

Well I'm not much of a gambler, so I probably won't know of any conditions that might make me stop gambling. The only one right now on my mind would be if I loss my phone or get disconnected from the internet for a long period of time.maybe then I will stop gambling till I can get another phone. My parents won't know if I gamble, not until I start showing symptoms of addiction. If they get to know they definitely will force me to stop. But u don't live with them so it's not even possible for them to know.

Financial incapability to gamble and loss of function to mu daily life. First is self explanatory, some might say a gambling addict would be seeking for ways just to gamble but in my case I’d probably stop; depends on your personality by the way. Another is loss of function; if I wouldn’t be able to interact with my friends, do chores, finish my tasks then this would be the time to stop. Of course it won’t be easy in such state but knowing myself I would do things to cope up with the situation. I stopped gambling for quite a long time. I stopped gambling because I spent all my savings on gambling. Maybe I should have stopped gambling after losing continuously but I realized it too late so I stopped gambling because the situation made it impossible to continue gambling. At that time I wanted to continue gambling and chase my losses but when I had no more money the situation forced me to stop.

Since then I began to realize that gambling must be done responsibly because gambling is full of risks and we can spend a lot of money gambling. If we are in an emotionally and financially unstable condition, it is better to avoid gambling because it will make the situation worse

The main conditions which would lead me to stop completely logging on my accounts and try my luck probably would have something to do with a widespread economical crisis or also some of my family members needing my financial help to pay for important expenses, like medical bills of their rent.
I do not think my future partner or my family would have a problem with my gambling, because I can be mostly a casual or social gambler, so in my opinion, there is s very slim possibility my personal situation could degenerate into me lossing control of what I do and how much I wager at the time. I have been addicted before and I stopped gambling for a year. As for now, there is nothing that I can think of that can make me stop gambling. Maybe old age if provided that I grow old. So with what I see now, I think nothing can make me stop gambling than old age or death.

I will spend time with my children, grandchildren, and myself. I won't waste my time gambling anymore. All I needed at that time was to take time for my health.

They are not always bad things as you mention, it is simply that they do not make you want to play, so, that simple. In fact this year I have had stops for weeks, days, due to different circumstances but one of them is that I really don't feel like it, I don't bet out of necessity.

In other more specific areas of the world of bettingAbandoning the game is common among poker players, in fact there is documentation about it, complete books, exceptionally successful guys, but they lost the desire to play overnight and never touched a felt again, neither virtual nor in person. Well the truth is that every change in behavior is as a result of experience so in as much as most people loves to gamble but there are some things that could happen to them that would make them quit gambling completely, perhaps losing properties because of gambling could also make someone to completely quit gamble because one fof the things about gambling is that while gambling you could hardly feel or realize that there is every possibilities of losing what you intend to use on gambling, so the only time you would realize is after losing.

But although for me I don't think there is something that would cause me to stop gambling because from the first place I'm not a gambling addict and i no when to call it day if I feel I have gambled too much, so I don't even need something to happen to me before I could stop.

No money. I've already made a mindset not to get debts for stuff like my personal enjoyment, which can wait until I have enough so yea, no money. I don't think I'd stop even if my family makes me, I mean I'm a grown-ass man already I think I know how to be financially capable of my money and how I spend it. Other than money, I guess restrictions? If gambling comes to a point where trying to play online became insanely difficult due to regulations that it's not worth the effort, then yea I'm stopping. Or if casinos just outright disappeared for some reason.

I know that many might still continue to gamble if that happens because that's how it is going to be and you've got a lot of resource on your hand so that you can keep gambling. But for someone who's set for life and has seen the hardship of it, I might just stop when I am already rich like I own a bunch of businesses and they're making a lot of money.

That means that I have no time anymore for doing such things because I need to focus on several things and if there will be some recreational activities that I wanna do then that couldn't be gambling but in some sports maybe like what the rich are doing on their pastime. And in a negative point of view, just like what everyone is saying about having no money. You couldn't gamble anymore when you have nothing although some have the demo modes but there is no fun with those. Yes, you gamble and play but you don't stake real money so there's no fun with that unless you are literally having fun with that.

Waoh nice to hear that you have outgrown some of your negative habits as you mentioned here and also I have some such habits to deal with at some point to be able to come out with a holistic approach that can help you grow up with time and age.

Well having set aside funds for gambling such as other activities that seem to look like a habits since we do them repeatedly and also having them control some of the things we do at some point since it has done on us that gambling addictions is way heavier on it victims than every other form of addictions that we may have around.

Stopping gambling in my case? Then these would be the ff;

1. Completely busy on work/have no time
2. Wife told me to do so
3. Dont have enough budget or extra for me to gamble.

These are the things which it would completely make me stop on doing or playing gambling.
I dont really let myself do really end up on stopping just because i have wrecked myself out. It would be always
better that you should really be doing or having that moderation when it comes to spending.

If  desperately needed all my pennies for my family. I mean, not being able to afford food or necessities for a safe life.

Family comes first in my priorities and i am including myself and my needs on that. At the moment i have some to spare, but that's tightly budjeted as well.
And i wouldn't stop for the rest of my life, but just until the situation, (what ever that might be) is over and we are on the safe waters.

I don't get scolded by my wife as i am not married anymore and my parents are too old to care what i do. I am an adult after all.

Secondly, if i would go over my budget i would stop. Not for the rest of the life but enough time for serious self reflecting.

I have to be really in a bad financial state before I consider stopping it. But, I am not really a gambler who bets in large amounts so I don't think that will happen. And, considering how the RTP works in most gambling sites, even $1 could make you play for an hour or 2 as long as you are not taking the high-risk options in their games.
Another thing that might make me stop is if I feel that I have been spending more time gambling than my work. I'd probably just stay away from it so that  I could become a better employee again. But, that ain't happening yet because I usually stop when my deposit balance is wrecked and also I am using the automatic betting feature of the gambling sites so that I can still do things at the house while it's running in the background.
I don't think my wife will tell me to stop with my hobby because she knows that I am not the type who will spend too much on gambling. So cross that out in considering the cause of gambling termination.
