Even though Venezuela won and was at the top of Group B for the time being but I think that does not reflect their true performance or as an illustration of where they will be moored, because if you actually see the match, what made Venezuela win was because of the red card that Ecuador received in the 22nd minute, so that Ecuador gradually lost control of the game and it give Venezuela plenty of room to score goals.

If Ecuador doesn't get that red card and still plays with 11 men, I think the story would be different.

I agree about the difficulty to play with only 10 players while your opponent has a full squad especially if the red card happened since the beginning of the match. Apart from the four teams you mentioned, several other big teams are playing in the Copa America. Uruguay, Costa Rica and Paraguay are not considered weak teams. However, compared to the Euro, there are very few quality teams in the Copa America. At the end of the day, Argentina and Brazil are the favorites for the Copa America title. And one of these two teams will win the Copa America title. Other parties are far behind.

I watched several matches of Copa America live. Apart from Argentina, I don't think any other team's performance is as organized and strong. More powerful gameplay is required to win the title. The result of the Ecuador game against Venezuela last night was a very surprising one to most football fans who know about the capabilities of both footballing nations. Ecuador was the first to score and was even controlling the game even after Enner Valencia was shown the red card in the 22nd minute of the game. It was towards the end of the second half that the Venezuelan players saw the need to utilize their advantage of having more number if players in the team and their quest for a good result was granted because the 10 man Ecuador couldn't keep up again.

The biggest teams in the world, the best players, the best stadiums are in Europe... it's normal for the Euro to have much more demand than the Copa America. But even at that you still have to give them atleast some credit for actually doing well atleast for holding up the goal advantage, one thing is to score and another is to actually defend the goal till the 90th minutes, even if the opposite team has the higher and upper hand. No doubt that Venezuela are not the best team in terms of their game play performance but they have achieved what most minor teams cannot in their group and that's finishing top.

I'd add Columbia to the list, they are a good team as well. I don't think it a hype, The Europa Cup competition has more notable teams playing in the competition than we do have in the Copa America Cup competition, so no doubt that's why it's hiding the Copa America which is on going right now and we all know that if we start making mention of teams involved in that competition, it quite clear that we have better playing in the Europa Cup competition.
