What a story, but one thing that I can denote out of this is that you were a novice at that time, nothing more. You probably acted according to what people said and the FOMO which is not advisable in the market decisions took hold of you. The best in trading is for you to first understand what you are getting yourself involved in, traders/investors should not just jump into coins or any assets simply because people are saying so. This is why I often laugh when I see a lot of inexperienced people on this forum talking and running their mouths up and down and could still be pointing the experienced ones in what they think is the right direction.

Well, yours is not the first, I have seen a lot of victims of this situation, and it will not stop there, in the next bull run, there will be more victims, especially those who will be like the doubting Thomas that will not enter the market early but because people are making money from it, they will now enter again at the late time when the market is at the higher price, and will start complaining. Well, the market has to be understood and read carefully before money is committed to it. When you invested in Dogecoin, the coin was bullish, but if you had known how to read your chart correctly, you would have known the best time to liquidate the position as well. By that, you could win a little, or be at a breakeven point, or lose a little. But don't worry, the next bull run is promising and I hope you can see Dogecoin above $1 this time.

I prefer to invest in coins that have real value and long-term growth potential rather than fall into the meme coin scam. It is true that the popularity of this coin was influenced by celebrities like Elon Musk. Coins that have a strong community behind them are always looking to create hype on such coins and will continue to do so in the future. I think instead of just relying on hype or community support you should consider coins like bitcoin, ethereum as a long term investment. If you get greedy and invest in doge coin a second time, you must be prepared to lose it.

Are you new to crypto because I remember seeing dogecoin below 0.01$ when I’m still newbie here in the forum. Your narrative looks like you just enter during the last bullrun while Dogecoin is one of the oldest coin in crypto which the price hover below. 1cent for a long time before it goes to 60cent mark like the story you are describing.

There’s tons of people gain on Dogecoin compared to loss because only those newly enter trader on the last bullrun is the one who purchase on higher price while the rest purchase on pretty much lower price even on the current price.

All of this was thanks to Elon Musk alone. Five years ago, DOGE was worth less than a cent and nobody could imagine that it could grow so much. Probably a lot of people lost money when doge was worth 30-40-50 cents. But just as many people were able to make good profits.

Sorry for your loss, but don't get defeated for this reason. Money can be recovered through so many different ways. If you discipline yourself and work towards the goals you have in mind, besides recovering what you lost with DOGE, you can also achieve much more. Most of us here have already lost money in crypto universe at some point and what remains from negative experiences is the learnship.

Next time, be more careful to not fall for shining deceiving promises and endorsements from manipulative whales like Elon Musk. I'm sure he didn't have losses when investing in DOGE, but in order to make profit for himself, he threw lots of investors like you on the fire... Also, don't expect a lot from memecoins. There isn't any solid purpose on them which could justify a long term increasement in price.

On the other hand, in DOGE's favour, I have to say that besides being a memecoin and before being manipulated by Musk, first of all it is a classical cryptocurrency from the early days. It used to be a loved one and very sympathetic to crypto enthusiasts. I can't assure how much it will still recover in price, but there is a possibility during the next bull season.

  Aren't you aware of the volatility of cryptocurrencies? Then you're talking about Dogecoin here; aren't you a risk-taker? because, as far as I know, everyone who invests in meme coins is always prepared for the risk they can face when they hold coins like that.

  Just know that no matter how deep the value of a coin has fallen, as long as you don't sell it, there is still hope that you can recover your loss or that it is even possible to make a profit in the end, as far as I understand.

Doge is a meme coin, during that time I only focused on buying Bitcoin and top altcoins in the market so I didn't get to invest in doge. I feel bad that you have invested at a higher value. But don't lose hope, we are not in the bull season, doge will probably be one of those altcoins that will make a rally. Investing in doge is risky but if ever it makes a comeback and you already made a profit, grab that chance and sell your holdings. Don't make the same mistake twice.

I was sort of new to investing at the time, I only have invested for a year before the dogecoin rise, and before I knew not much about it, and didn't really care for some altcoins. Me, and I know other people too, seen that dogecoin was rising, and the marketing such as "Dogecoin to the moon" or "dogecoin to $1" was pretty convincing. It is my fault for investing into it at such a high price, I just regret not caring for altcoins at the time though, would've made a decent amount of money.

I did, back in 2014 I bought it 220 sat/1 doge because there was a news dogecoin sponsored one of Nascar team.
In the end, the team finish 20th out of 43.
The doge price was not rising at all before and after the race, 2 or 3 weeks later it crash to 60 sat and it forced me to dump the coin.

I never buy doge again since that time but I think the doge will be still alive for a few years ahead.
The coin will not just die like that, just wait for Elon to make a joke with doge again then the price will start rising, rinse and repeat.

I didn't lose but RIP is pretty much odd stance on it. It has always peaked when altcoin season starts and dropped, with more volatility then most coins out there. And now when price is stabilized again it's rip? That doesn't make any sense when you look at the history. And you really have to zoom in as new peak always makes the old ones look like nothing. But they were insane when you look at percentually growth. Dogecoin wouldn't die even if everyone wanted so. And most people has wanted it since the start. As it was the original nonsese shitcoin. It just gained credibility as it wasn't never to be taken seriously. Not even the developer of it saw this weird cult of dogecoin coming. So i have accepted that it might never die. It might be less popular, and have lower price but it never goes away.

My friends made some beer money with it by mining it. But they solde arly, obviously. As most people would have.

should also remember that elon musk influence is deteriorating nowadays when it comes to shilling for certain coin, but if its about integrating doge coin with his platform then i guess it make sense if it could retouch the all time high again but then again when it comes to meme coin that already has high market capitalization never have too high of an expectation because the money is flowing in the other meme coin right now at best we should be waiting for the next bullrun in the next year where there is halving occurring that could causes the market to be increasing signficantly I guess at that time elon will also comet to play shilling for doge coin for unknown reason then maybe we might be hitting all time high again.

Wee see the effect of Elon supporting this coin since it really create a massive hype since people can't imagine that the top one richest man on earth will show a support to a coin and many think that it can create some huge adoption just like what happen to bitcoin that's why it creates a huge spike of price and it reach to his past ATH which old Doge holder became so rich quickly. But unfortunately there are some Doge coin millionaire turn  to be a broke Doge holder because they decide to be a greedy man and lost a lot of money due to a huge drop of price on this coin.
