I don't know if you can actually remember the incident I talked about here some months ago, when I said that there was a man from my location who is very addicted to gambling, and his children don't trust him with money any more because they believe he will only use the money to gamble. What actually led to the disbelief his children had for him was after one of his daughters gave him money to buy a plot of land, but the man, being so greedy, thought of multiplaying the money (lol), so he went gambling, and the game got ruined and the money was gone. This man I am talking about is about 60 years old. Also, my grandfather was gambling up to the age of 60, but he was also very concerned about making only a profit from his bet. I also know a lot of young people who are not just gambling for fun; there is actually no data to verify between the two ages of people who gamble for fun the most.

I could easily say that young people gamble most for fun, but there is no data to back up the claim.

Don't you think to have fun one needs to be young and have energy and love for life etc. When it comes to 60+ age, most of people are not healthy and are involved in some sort of illness and other things. Also as the man grows old, his ability to think and take decisions also deteriorates. Also, most of the time, you are retired from your job in your 60s and in that case it become difficult to get and spend money on gambling. All these things make me think that the gambling at a younger age is more fun than gambling at the mature age of 60+.

If I was to answer this question, I did say that the older men are more likely to be gambling for fun, than the younger men, and this is due to several reasons which I am not going to mention yet, but will see users who share in this same view of mine will be able to also come up with same reasons.

Also, since most of us are under 60, this means that it will be hard to tell how it feel like gambling at such age. Unless someone is at that age and gambling and he tells us his real experience, then we can judge better but as of now, this time is yours, get fun from gambling and do not wait for the old age to have fun.

I think older men will gamble for fun because they didn't gamble when they were younger. And if a man did not gamble when he was younger, he must have accumulated capital. Since a person is able to accumulate capital, he knows how difficult it is to earn money. That is why older people do not spend money in casinos to make money. This is why it is so easy for an elderly person to gamble for fun.

I don't think that's true, it might be in some old people but I don't believe that everyone doesn't gamble until they're at the retirement age and that it's the potential reason why they're happier when gambling than the young ones, to me though, I feel like the reason why I believe that the old gamblers are having more fun than the young ones is because they're at almost at the twilight of their lives and that they really don't care anymore, even if they get addicted, they just do what they have to do and if they make a huge mistake, they've got nothing to lose anymore because they can wait it out, it's that simple for me as to why the old people wins this debate. There's a fun side for the younger gamblers too though, they're more likely to create bonds and enjoy gambling with friends unlike with old people that want to just be left alone.

It depends on each individual as we can't get the right answer of we  generalized it. Some individual who are still youth and are making money from their main source of income and other side hustle that they have won't be gambling to make money. They'll be gambling as a way to entertain themselves due to many things that is preventing them from having fun. Some youths are always busy with work that they don't have a free time to have fun so they use only gambling.

Some older individuals can also be gambling for money as they didn't have any retirement plans when they were younger and now they have to rely on gambling to get moneys as they can't work actively again for money. Both the youths and the older individuals gamble for entertainment and for money, it depends on each individual. I think we all should only gamble for entertainment as it's more enjoyable.

Well, many people say that it's really fun to do gambling while you were young, it's better to enjoy life while you're young, because when you get old, you have a lot of responsibilities to face, gambling will be set aside, unless you're addicted to it. It's also better to enjoy it while you're young because you have more time for this kind of thing. It's hard that when you get old you will do the things you missed doing when you were young.

Younger individuals enjoys gambling more as companies to older people because they have trust in their luck and want to examine their luck once in life but when it comes to gambling then whether their luck helps them or not they are in desire to continue it because of earning money. From my personal point of view, my idea is the same as yours OP. Old men are more likely to gamble for fun because they are old and no longer have the ambition to make bigs profit. It's differents when someone is young because they have the hopes of making a profit because many of their goals are. Young gamblers like that, as long as they are still young they will continues to make effort and continue to make efforts in order to earn incomed.

Does having fun have any age limitations? I don't think so, a person can always have fun even in old age. At that age, most people have all the time to have fun, no active job, grown-up kids, and can easily focus on things that give them happiness without distractions. So it's wrong to hold the opinion that there is nothing fun to do at 60. If Benjamin Franklin could invent bifocals in his 70s, why can't someone have fun at the age of 60? In this regard, gambling can be fun at 60 and above and when compared with the young, the old enjoy this fun the most.

That is an interesting question where we would need some older guys here from the forum that are 60+ years old and enjoy gambling to give their opinion. As for me I would expect the fun to be a bit different the older we get. At a young age we have a lot of time for gambling, but we don't have the money to gamble so much. Once we are old we have the money to gamble a lot more, but with the time it looks a bit different. Life is harder and we need to look much more after the health. From what I saw during my many visits in my local casino is that young guys usually come in groups and alcohol plays a big part in the gambling night. So it's definitely going to be a fun night out because of the alcohol. But for older people 50+ years I don't see so much alcohol, they do drink some but never to get drunk. Also elderly gamblers usually come with a beautiful woman that tends to be younger then them. I think for them it's more about having a good company and enjoying their time than it's about gambling itself. I would expect for the younger gamblers there will be more fun in gambling itself.

Although they are old, older men or people tend to have something that could accompany them so that they will not get bored, and gambling is one of them. It doesn't mean that someone is gambling; there is always money involved. I've known a lot of older people who play gambling with their friends or younger people just to have fun, money aside, so it depends on how the people treat gambling. To answer the question, maybe younger men enjoy gambling the most, but they are also the ones that tend to be addicted. So it depends on the individual; we can't be sure which age group enjoys gambling the most until we have a solid survey about it. But for most new generations, gamblers tend to be addicted because they treat gambling as a source of income or are hoping to earn some money from it, which is a bad indication.

I personally cannot assume and compare from the categories you mentioned, because it requires data from the number of old gamblers and the number of young gamblers that must be used as analysis data if your answer wants a scientific approach, and I have to make a questionnaire to many gamblers from these two gamblers to see the exact data.

I find this topic interesting because many said that old people think gambling as they can play for fun but I’m still young yet I’m playing like the old guys which is just for fun. I believe it’s not about the age but rather the financial status of someone and of course their reason why they gamble.

Everyone has a different view in that there are people aged around 60 years who gamble for fun and there are also those who gamble seriously because they just want to make money, actually from what we discussed in the thread there is no age that can determine The intention of the gambler, that is because young gamblers can gamble for fun or to make money, depending on their respective intentions and goals, it doesn't matter what age is because that is not enough to determine each individual's character.

I will assume as an example that maybe you say that there are no gamblers aged 60 who have fun. Maybe the old gambler doesn't really have a family that supports his life so he needs to play more seriously rather than having fun at gambling but it will be very different from older gamblers. 60 years old but has a family but he has enough money because his children support him but his children are busy working so he seeks pleasure in gambling. In my own views I think younger people tend to have more fun in gambling than older ones, because at younger age with a lot of energy you want to participate in everything that brings excitement and fun. Even the elderly can tell you that at their youthful age it was fun gambling than their old age, because at old age all you do then is with caution of things that Will not affect you negatively so their are limits to certain things.
