No, I don't live in Middle East but shawarma is still one of the most popular food in my country. We have our version of shawarma, we usually make it with pork meat, salads, ketchup, mayonnaise, tomato and onion, we wrap everything in Armenian Lavash, then toast it and then we eat it. Yeah, it's not healthy. The first time I tasted Shawarma, I liked it so much that I was eating one shawarma every day for years until I realised that it made me gain 10 kilos and everyone was making fun of that fact (I was a very skinny guy). Then I started training and lost weight, now I prefer to eat healthy and I only eat shawarma when I'm with friends.
