I guess the major reason for this problem is confidence of having luck on your side during your gambling. Even when we are too confident about a bet, sometimes it's not our confidence that made us to win the bet. Most time it could be as a result of the level of luck we have that could have made us to win the bet. We don't have to be always unnecessary confident about bet that might not give us any gain. This is what I call the "gambler's cycle" wherein a gambler would definitely stick to gambling regardless of the result of their game.

I went through everything that the OP described. Of course, this becomes dull and forgotten over time. But I have already learned this mechanism of action by heart, I know how it all happens. When sitting down to play, many people think that something interesting and unusual awaits them, but in fact these are just algorithms and we are the same as other players (unless, of course, we have a unique game strategy). The two points you raised is almost inevitable in gambling, most gamblers believe that they know it all, forgetting the fact that gambling is a game that is full with uncertainty, the outcome of every game can not be predetermined that's why it been called prediction, when you gamble you are not sure of the definite end of such game, so being sure of an event that's in progress is not part of gambling.
