There is no Devin Haney versus Gervonta Davis. There is no Ryan Garcia versus Jose Ramirez. Because Devin Haney and Ryan Garcia bargained a deal for an April 20 match in Las Vegas. This is not the match fans are expecting but this is a great challenge for Ryan Garcia. A fighter that knocks opponents and the other is a defense technician.

Yes, saw this on my feed and it was good if the fight is really a done deal and it will happen on April 20. It looks like Garcia is really chasing greatness as this point as Haney has already achieved it at a young age, undisputed at 135 lbs and now becoming a champion at 140 lbs.

I think it will be one of the biggest fight if not the biggest fight for this year again for Ryan. Maybe 1 million PPV buys like what him and Tank Davis did last year. Haney might be the favorite going into this fight though, and his slick style might be difficult for Ryan but I think Garcia might have a better chance because of his power. He might caught Haney along the way and see how Haney will react one he feel the power of Ryan.

Garcia wants to be great, but maybe he just wants to improve his skills first. Garcia has an opportunity to as a result of his power, but Haney is a cautious technician who continues to improve. Prograis was a champion with power however he cannot touch Haney and Garcia could likewise have a similar destiny if he does not make speedy improvement of his abilities.

After Garcia shoved Haney, the match just got more interesting. Then Garcia expressed something to Bill Haney that drove the elderly person mad wanting to toss his clenched hands.

I don't think Ryan would quit but I can see him getting frustrated during the fight.

I understand the need to sell the fight to as many viewers as possible but I think the shove wasn't necessary. He's trying to get into Devin's head but the media attention could also distract him from what he has to do. I hope he doesn't get branded as "all bark and no bite" after this is over.

King Ry will lose, however, he will not lose similar to how he was knocked down by Tank Davis. Also, Ryan was not allowed to go more above a certain weight vs. Tank. He was forced and tricked into signing the contract. Oscar dela Hoya should have not have allowed it. He is weakening King Ry's career.

However, this fight vs. Haney, Oscar has done good for his fighter. But are there suspicious notes and head scratching agreements in the contract similar to the contract created by Tank Davis' team?

Yes, names like Rolly Romero and even Pitbull Cruz was being thrown around Ryan and even he confirms or denies those fights. I think it's more of cashing in with his popularity and doesn't care about his 0 or losses any more as obviously he had one already. Or maybe GBP or Oscar is trying to satisfy Ryan Garcia. For sure we all have heard that him and Ryan are not seeing eye to eye. So maybe to please Ryan, he had to deliver big money fights for him. And perhaps Oscar has learn from his previous cash cow Canelo that he needed as promotional manager to give what this fighters want and that is big money fights for their ego and lifestyles. I don't think that Ryan will cancel this fight, everything has been set up including that shove he did on Devin Haney on Super bowl night.

We can't really say, he quit boxing because of his mental health though. But if he lost to Tank take a knee and was not embarrassed, then I think it will not getting worst than that. He was knockout for the first time in his career and others says that he quit.

This is 140 lbs, no more weight drain for Ryan although I think Haney is still the bigger fighter in the fight as he can rehydrate to even 160 lbs. He has an alibi for that and that is the rehydration clause, and he's been making those excuses in all his interviews even in his coming fight against Haney his excuse is Gervonta beat him because he was handicapped, so if Haney beat him, he would have no excuse this time.
Garcia is confident that he can beat Haney because they already fought in their amateur days, which is very different now because Haney is miles ahead when it comes to skill.

Haney will fight in the weight that he is comfortable with, so he can utilize his speed and skill, Haney right now is the best fighter in the 140 since he is the undisputed champion and he fought some of the best fighters in that division, this is a legacy fight for fighters and there will be no excuse because there is no handicap clause in the contract, so the winner will take everything in this fight.

I think Devin Haney only looks like Ryan; if I were to bet, I would bet on Haney because I think he has hidden skills that Ryan doesn't know about him. But of course, this is just my opinion, and I'm just guessing and not sure.

But if I base it on his fights, I've only really seen him against Ryan, so it's probably a big advantage and points for him if he wins against his opponent for real.

Hidden skills? I don't think he has one.. I mean, he is already good as a boxer, although everyone sees what he can do on the ring, but they can't figure out how to win. Ryan will try his turn to figure out how to beat Haney, but the public are favoring Haney to win making Ryan Garcia the underdog despite his popularity. Well, everyone should understand tha boxing is all about skills, and although I can say that Ryan also has some skills, but Haney has more impressive career now.

Yes aware of that I should have locked it and apologized to OP for not taking action, anyway its still two months but the excitement just started could be the fight of the year and the thrash talks of the year too, I just noticed it 2 against 1 on the trash talk war Ryan should bring along his father too so it will become a father against father and son against son  .
And Ryan's bodyguards are better than Haney's too, the Haneys should fire their bodyguards and replace them with much bigger bodyguards, I will not be surprised if a brawl happens during a press con, no one wants to be subdued on the thrash talk

I think if they'll agree on that and try to stage a brawl it could happen. Afterall, they both wants to sell a high PPV so they can earn a lot of money in this fight. This might e a chance for Haney to earn a good paycheck in a championship fight, and although Ryan is known as the inferior boxer, but since he talks a lot and people loves him talking, that will earn a lot of followers and probably haters too to watch the fight.

It might take a hit on his box office draw, but what we appreciate of Ryan is that he keeps on pushing himself to fight the best. Yes, I don't think that Haney will have that kind of clauses here, and if there were, we will soon fight out and if might affect fans and says that they try to used Tanks tactic against Ryan and weight drain him, it will not look good for Haney.

Obviously, if there is controversy, like it's too close call then we will love to see another fight. And just to let everyone know, Ryan is one of the 4 kings that has two fights with the rest of them. All other guys haven't meant yet, so Ryan is the only one who has the balls to face two, Tank Davis and Devin Haney.
