I would agree, most world champions stick to knocking people out in their younger and more amateur years, Pacquiao being one of the few notable ones that really kept the knockout boxing style type even when they've grown to become a veteran boxing champion, but I digress, unless Haney does something to change his boxing style to be more of a powerful type, one that's based in strength and speed and not putting out the most points in matches like a fucking wuss, cause fighters and the boxing screen meta's becoming a little more crass and more unforgiving to these types of boxers nowadays. That's too obvious and the world knows it, and if Garcia lose via decision I'm sure it will be their biggest mistake to decide.

Well, what everybody hopes is that he'll never get to judge another fight. He is a veteran just like what you said, that was not a miscalculations, that was done on purpose, he is bought or a puppet of someone, he stand his ground on what his master told him to do so. You can't miscalculate a one sided fight with 3 times knock down against an opponent. He's actually one of the reason why the boxing industry is becoming more and more of a business than an actual sport. Sports fan in general hates things like these.

Nah he's fine man. haha...Give him a chance, he was smart to still have this belt because that wasn't a championship fight, but his undefeated record is one. It's the humiliation that comes after, and we have been played by Ryan Garcia, uses his mental issues and whatever tweets and act he does in the public, come in over weight in the fight and then nobody give him a chance to win. Indeed, however that time after his loss to Tank people does not believe in him anymore that he can beat a champion. He just continue to be popular because he always wanted to gain some attention in his social media accounts, and now that he proved that he is a real deal, for sure he will get the respect from the boxers that would challenge him or he'll challenge in the future including Tank Davis if he'll decide to go down again.

This is a good year for him, first fight in 2024, I'm sure he can still at least make one fight this year.

I agree, Floyd at 135 lbs was very different, start of the prime years of Mayweather, who wouldn't forget how he destroys Chico Corrales (RIP). And at 140 lbs, Haney still has no chin and with the power Ryan had at this weight, Haney can't handle it. The style though of Haney might have been pattern after Floyd, but then again, Floyd is way ahead of his time. Oscar says in the post-fight that Garcia can fight at catch-weights, as it seems the question is about him and Tank for a rematch. Garcia is really intelligent if he targets Fundora because I think he is the "weakest" of the Super Welterweight champion. I disagree though of what Derrick James says on Haney, that he can't return because of how Garcia beat him. Haney have learn a lot of lessons here and for sure he can box again and before he forget there is no belt on the line as Ryan come in overweight.

There is no agreement needed because it should be automatically declared vacant as a general rule in boxing. Another disgraceful decision by the corrupt WBC. It is too unfair to the other fighters that worked hard to improve their ratings for a chance of getting a title fight. The WBC can just tell both Garcia and Haney to rematch for the vacant belt.

Although it seems like Ryan is not interested at 140 anymore. At the moment, it is Sandor Martin that is ranked 1st in the WBC ranking and he can fight Haney for the vacant belt if Ryan won't drop to 140.

The DAZN broadcasters are terrible. They always act like cheerleaders for Matchroom fighters and also Canelo. Chris Mannix probably filled his scorecard before the fight even started. And on the other hand, entering round 12, you will hear Derrick James advising Ryan not to do anything stupid or something on that line because they know they have won the fight except for that one judges who ruin a UD for Ryan and instead score in a draw.

The execution of Ryan's left hook is very quick, hard to see and that's why Haney even though he is known to have a good defense, wasn't able to see the punch coming in and that's why 3 knockdown for Ryan easy and then the power behind it. Not be like Nonito or Roy Jones left hook, but it's crisp and hard to see.
