Well, China has the digital Renminbi or e-CNY and they started working on it back in 2014 and officially released it back in 2020 in 4 Chinese cities. In less than a year it passed hundreds of millions of users and handled over ten billion dollar worth of of transactions.
The biggest event was usage of it as PetroYuan in October 2023 (cross border oil settlement).

I'd say as far as government issued shitstablecoins go, China is at least 10 years ahead of all other countries without needing to wait for some silly bill to pass.

It appears that you are not living in reality. There are capital outflow controls in China. They will not allow anyone within their jurisdiction to send more and $50k worth of currencies without a special approval. Do you know what the Chinese citizens do to avoid this? There is a black market for USDT in hardware wallets being sent and received through the borders between Hong Kong and China.

If the big banks and big payment processors of America issue their own stablecoins and become widely accepted and for certain there will be liquidity provision on DeFi platforms like Curve Finance, the representation of America's currency will be the dominant fiat currency representation of the cryptospace.

The Donald has announced a 50% tariff on the European Union and it appears that nothing can change this decision anymore. This is headshakng after other countries habe begun negotiations with America.

“Therefore, I am recommending a straight 50% Tariff on the European Union, starting on June 1, 2025.”

But later Friday, at an executive order signing in the Oval Office, Trump escalated his message to the EU.

“I’m not looking for a deal,” he said. “We’ve set the deal — it’s at 50%.”

The US is a country where separation of powers works. One man called the president cannot just come up with an agenda that is harming different sectors of the economy and will not be challenged or stopped by the court. Trump seems to be welding unlimited powers and I think Congress needs to rectify some of his policies

The market reacted slightly because this judgment was not final. The government can still bypass this court judgment through some executive orders. Secondly, they also have the option of appealing the judgment. Maybe a Supreme Court judgment would have caused a stir in the market.

I asked this not because I don't understand how the US judicial system works, but because the press has been publishing a lot of fake news lately. Just recently, Trump himself said that the press publishes a lot of fake news without bothering to check its accuracy. Apparently, the entire American press, like many other spheres, is also divided into spheres of influence between Republicans and Democrats.

It seems that the positive price action happening in the bitcoin/crypto markets is happening in spite of Trump being president and not because he is president. The haircut on stocks across the board has yet to be recovered from, and it permanently alienated his older voter base, along with millions of retirees and anyone that needs their investments to supply them with money for the rest of their lives. Honestly looking at the S&P chart, I wouldn't be surprised if we see another huge drawdown in the next month or two.

Thankfully the fed printing continues to make BTC look attractive, so it will always have that going for it compared to most other investments which are more inflationary.

This is official information heheheheh. However, there is a section in the law where the Donald can use to continue imposing his tariffs. This is mentioned in the article, called emergency powers law.

In any case, if you are speculating if the market will pump again, this block on the Donald's tariffs might be bullish. This will remove some of the unpredictability caused by the Donald and bring back more confidence on markets.

I saw an old android device of mine and I saw the pictures I have taken when I was traveling in Hong Kong with my whole family and this has caused me to have a realization that American might be the only country that has the people and the founders that have the capability to make the cryptospace pump to new all time highs.
