Yes you may be right considering the fact that the performance of other  coins solely depends on Bitcoin hence any coin that is not making any move along side with Bitcoin doesn't seem to be good project and that is a very nice observation the reason why ii is always ad to invest in an old and know project than a new ones. I think it's okay to invest 5%-10% of our money in meme coins, or even a small portion. we can't turn a blind eye that a small investment in meme coins can provide big profits. However, research needs to be done to determine the right meme coin. investing in BTC is still the best but investing in meme coins is also not something bad.

In as much as  you have your own personal decision to make you're good to go, for me I don't prefer investing on memecoins. The price of bitcoin is going to change the price of other coins too and as you are describing that other altcoins will skyrocket too when bitcoin goes pump so yes it's true and it's negative impact also effect the price of other altcoins in opposite directions.

Today as the price of bitcoin is decreased so you can see easily that whole market has been turned into red because every coin is related with the price of bitcoin. Those who cannot take benefit from current Bull season will work more and will wait for another Bull season and bull season does not come with ease but four years are required for pumping the price of each and every coin.

Actually people buy shitcoins, memecoin as well as many unknown under value altcoins so that they could earn a huge amount of money from those projects, although they already know that they are taking risk as well as they also know that which altcoins will be best and best investment for them. There are so many new coins in the market but I am only looking to invest in meme for only a short period of time so I can always make some quick profits and jump to the next one. If I found out that a particular project A has what it takes to be bought and hold for a long time, I will do that so I can always make quick profits from the crypto market to buy more token.

No not all coins will increase, even if it a bull run currently. This is why we still need to be careful and mindful of which coins we are to invest in. Some coins would just not have enough investors for us to notice a significant profit margin.

So far it's not that simple, it can be identified with several things that might be a potential factor for price increases, with the exception of memecoin, some alt can rise high according to the narrative that is built in this world to integrate technology with direct benefits that we can feel, for example AI, Defi, Spatial computing, crypto with this category is very interesting in the last few months including RWA, where it is indicated that conventional companies are starting to build themselves with the latest technology, it will be the next market, like that is the perspective that I can see how altcoins can be lensed before experiencing an increase, and the market will follow the movements of big things with big companies that support them, the nature of Crypto is always like that.

For a project to be reliable, it does not mean it must increase in value during the bull run period. The value of a good coins must rely only on bull run. I have seen many coins that during the bull run period they did not pump but during the bear market the price started pumping. The pump of coins price always determine by investors funds invested.

For someone to know whether the coin is reliable or not, it doesn't fully depend on the price increase during a bull run; it depends on the team behind the project. In fact, many coins that do well in bull runs are pump and dump coins, and it is hard to pump for a long time. They just pump and dump it for short period unless Bitcoin and other reputable coins that have been there for long term. They mostly deceive people with that pump doing bull run period because most people always believe it will continue pumping, not knowing they are just using the  pumps to attract the intentions of people so that developers can make their own profit
