Even if Real Madrid win this El Clasico, point difference will become 8 points and honestly it's not small difference with only 3 matches left after the El Clasico.
With World Cup 2026 comes very soon, I believe that many star players in Real Madrid no longer focus on this El Clasico and they are thinking more about the World Cup tournament. Lately, many conflicts in their club exploded and they're just more bad ingredients added to current bad situation of Real Madrid. Well, Barca hit my 2nd leg so easily, I know it only looks like a normal win, but believe me after getting 2-0 and spending rest of second half just controlling the game, this was Barca having mercy on Real.
Normally I would disagree with you here about the attitudes of Real players. If you're a professional, every game matters, every fight matters. ESPECIALLY against Barca. Looks like this one worked out quite well. Sevilla was pushing hard and in these games I think it is not all that rare that a team under pressure, like Sevilla was, can still get something done + there are long extra times in La Liga
