Whale website is a nice and cozy place to spend some time (and money, heh) now and then, but being nice is usually not enough nowadays to gain players.
And since they no longer have their signature campaign on Bitcointalk, their advertising strategy seems to be nowadays related to the contests that keep them visible and also get the winners actually gamble a little and get the taste of it.

I totally agree.
Whale has that rare "cozy" vibe that most casinos lost years ago - oh boy, I miss those wild-west times -  and I was also happy to be part of their signature campaign – I am sure it was great exposure for them, I ve even recommended the casino in real life. 

The contest/raffle strategy is actually pretty clever though. Winners get free credits, almost everyone ends up wagering at least a bit to withdraw or just to try the games, and the casino stays visible on the forum without paying outrageously expensive bounty managers like @icopress ( )).

I ve hit a few nice wins from their giveaways too, and even when I lose the bonus I still enjoy the site. Hope they keep the contests running for a long time – definitely one of the better "old-school" places left!

I also received a free bet a few weeks ago, but I immediately blew it... I think it was the Bayern game where, contrary to all odds, they only managed a draw... their only one so far this season.

I received free bet in one prediction competition sponsored by Whale casino and I had luck with my bet on Champions League.
I had a feeling PSV could do something against Liverpool, but I didnt have the balls to go directly for PSV win, so I went with safer asian handicap option.
Odds was 2.46 and I won $73 in my account, I would call that a good bet, but I would won five times more with simple away win.

It actually looks as if the problem lies less with the provider itself and more with the communication between our forum and the online image service, which is why the images are not displayed correctly.


Good luck with your bet! Have you ever thought about combining them into a multi bet? Your games have very good odds, and if you combine them, you would get a significantly higher multiplier.

For me it is the first time happening with TalkImages. The other image hosting providers are known to longer work that good, that's why I have moved to TalkImages.

That's right, now that you mention it, I can also remember that these free bets can "only" be used for single bets and therefore do not offer the option of combining several sports bets into a multi bet. Unfortunately, I can't try it out at the moment because I've already used up all my free bets.

On the one hand, this is understandable, as you could win very high odds with a lucky punch (combining five bets that actually come true). On the other hand, the probability of this happening is of course very low, so in terms of the house edge, it would certainly be acceptable.

That's right, I haven't heard or read anything (specific) about it for a while, but to be honest, I haven't been actively looking into it lately.

As for free bets... I played a lot on Sportsbet last year and I seem to remember that you could also place free bets on combination bets there. Unfortunately, I don't have any free bets available at the moment to verify this, but maybe in the next few days/weeks!

The free bet is usually 25$, mine was also 25$. And in the last one I've won 13$. In the previous one I've won 23.75$!
So imho the amount is actually generous. You only have to have some luck in picking the games. You can do multi bets afterwards with the wins.

I think I agree with that. Some people choose crazy odds, but I prefer a safe bet when it comes to free bets. And if I win, I use my funds for crazy things (in my opinion, multi-odds with x10 are crazy). Although, I once won 9 out of 10 in an accumulator with odds of 2000.

But how crazy do you think? Because you don't have infinite free bets I never get them and I can't just burn in a 100x odd that the chance to hit is too low.

I think even 3x is enough, more than this you can try parlays with multi bets because you can get big odds on many smaller odds games that have a chance to win
