I believe that gambling companies already did what they can, there will be limit to how they lecture people about responsible gambling, because if its too much then they are simply telling people not to gamble at all.

Some countries put age restrictions and they stop people from using debit cards to gamble online, they have tried, but are people not the stupid ones? I mean, there is not much discussion to have about it. There will be always people who will try to step into a casino and get out of it with as much money possible. But part of it it is because, there is much advertisement being done on the winners of gambling, specially lottery. When there are so many advertisements together showing their millions earned, then I could not personally blame if some newbies felt lured into gambling because of the hope of changing their lives for good.
I am sure you have also noticed how the losses are never advertised or given too much attention on the internet and social media, unlike when some streamer alledgely managed to pull off a big win on the slots.

Understanding gambling is a big lessons that every beginnerd actually need and been able to navigate through the emotional manipulation of gambling is another thing. We have different mindsets you know and trust, not all of us can handle the pain of losing and it's the ability to quickly heal and absorb loses that makes us a better gambler and not turn to an addict playing gambling but not everyone has this quality of looking away when they loses. Not been looking away makes them remember past losses.
