Creating a secure non custodial wallet won't take up to ten minutes or even less. I don't know the level of conveniences these unsecured wallets offer that people tend to be making such mistakes of using them for their asset storage. Not your keys, not your coins has been an anthem for as old as crypto exits but we turn deaf ears until things get worse before we learn. This is not only applicable to Telegram wallet but to all wallets which you have no control over the phrases. It is as good as if you have no asset because the custodian can deny you access at any time.

And with the information you just shared, I don’t think it is easily retrievable when blocked or suspended. It is better to stay away from it now than to be a victim of that.

The purpose of telegram is for networking, i once used a telegram wallet once and it was successful and that was the first and last time i used it so i don't know if they improved it or not but using it was not interesting the futures were lame since it was not is purpose to perform such act and my problem with the telegram wallet it will even be very easy for people to hack, starting from if they can have access to your telegram account then the rest will be an easy one so its just like the disadvantages are more than the advantage we know people are thirsty for change. this kind of change is a risky one. we know the level of security that wallets have telegram can not have such wallet.  i don't think i will use it again because the security of my money matters a lot to me, considering a telegram wallet is a no for me.

Many replies here have been saying there's a back up phrase, how and where do you people find the back phrase that allows you to import it into external ton wallet? Before replying here, I just checked the wallet again but can't find where. By the way, I'm not interested in using the wallet for now but I want to verify whether it truly has back up phrase.

It is never too late to anticipate, because when we do our best to keep the phrase confidential is very important, because storage is the ultimate goal when we hunt crypto in any way.

First enter the telegram internal ton wallet then click the 3 dots on the top right, select settings and check the ton space beta and the menu appears as in step 1, select ton space in step 2 and step 3 appears, you are instructed to create a wallet or import 24 secret words, I gave an example of making the initial and select Manually as in picture 5 click continue as in the general wallet and your wallet is copied (best handwritten on paper) and you can store it calmly or can be exported to the external ton wallet.

You can also delete and replace a new wallet at any time, select 3 dots on the top right select ton space beta and an image will appear as below, and you remove ton space follow the guidelines and finish.

Actually the non-custodial wallet is in the custodial wallet. You need to create it there, as explain by johnsaributua above you have to activate the "TON Space" there, it's the name the non-custodial wallet in fact. Telegram will show your seed phrase when you'll create it and you will be able to access it in the Settings menu of the TON Space wallet everytime you need to remind it fortunately. But when you send TON with this wallet you will have to pay some fees because transactions will be sent onto the TON blockchain, contrary to transactions made with the custodial wallet.
