This depends on how much your salary is, and how much your needs and responsibilities are in a month. If you don't have enough funds as discretionary funds, after taking care of all your expenses for the month, you can gamble occasionally, and you can use money that is not part of your salary for that.

On the other hand, if you have enough that you can spare and also save from, after every expenses in the month, you can use 1% - 5% to gamble. Remember to gamble responsible so that you don't end up using more than what you have assigned for gambling, because you were chasing your loss.

It would be great to use funds you can afford to lose and not regret a lot or fall prey of addiction if you lose,so if you can afford to lose like 5% of your salary then most likely that is the max amount you should gamble from your salary and only do this if you want to really play gambling yourself and not because other people are doing it or in your locality is in the mood.I personally use like 5-10% of my net salary every month which is 150 EUR to 300 EUR depending which amount I feel like spending playing gambling,where I live this may be a high amount as I don't live in Germany which this is normal so it all depends on how much money you can afford to lose without regretting it,that is the right amount.

No more than 5% because the other 95% of your salary should be used for your needs, don't get carried away because in the circle you gamble a lot and then you spend it all, it will cause problems in your finances.
Maybe it's better to invest more than 30% then it will be better than gambling and the rest of the money is your daily needs, so this is what I apply so always manage the bankroll so as not to exceed the limit that has been set.
It's up to you to decide! I myself will not be big on gambling but when I win, I will keep it for the next bet.

The popularity of gambling mostly online gamble has greatly attracted many people from different works of life to find interest in the activity and some do it for fun while others just engage to try their luck for a possible extra profit by chance.

I do not try to exceed 5% of out of my income for gamble any week I have to gamble. So it's left for you that knows the strength of your salary compared to the weight of  responsibility you carry generally to critically look inwardly and see if a 5% as I use will be okay with you.

So I would just advice you to set-up your gambling plans so that it doesn't have to affect your bankrolls and also, stay aware that loosing can be frustrating and winning can be encouraging. But no of it has positive effects if you focusing and desperately gambling to make profit because by then, you would be out of your emotional control which may ruin your finances.

It's actually depends on how much you earn from your work monthly. And the decisions should only be made by you not anyone else. We don't want a situation where someone start blaming others for his wrong decisions. If you have a good paying job and feel like gambling with some of your pay then you can. But you should remember that gambling not matter how profitable it is to you, shouldn't be seen or taken as a means to make a living. Because with what you have said from your locality, it seems that's what they are into. Gambling yes can reward you but that's shouldn't be your source of income. Using part of your salary in gambling is not bad but knowing your limit to the gambling is what is important because at times the bets don't become successful like you wish them to be and you keep chasing the loses. So even using the bearest of the percentage of your salary in gambling won't amount to anything if you don't have a good psychology and emotion to withstand the pressure and challenges in gambling, you realize at a point you will have to increase the percentage which will not be a good experience as you will end up losing everything. This is a good advice. I have always tried my best to adhere to it. I will also add that having a side hustle will help his not to over use his salary. He should also stick to a game that he is familiar with that way he is able to be between the 1% to 5% of his salary. Let's say you are making $100,000 per month, will you really gamble 10 percent of it just for fun? I don't think that is a wise decision. $10k is a lot of money and it could be used for something more important or make a business that will make you more money than the risky type which is gambling.
I might use only 1 percent of that or maybe less, as I said, it will depend on your salary.

In my case, I only make an average amount and I spend 5% of my monthly salary. If I could stretch that amount into playing until 3 weeks then I will be fine. I am only using it to be entertained and sometimes I do win which lengthens my ability to gamble more.

As everyone asks, the percentage depends on how much your salary is, if you're making 100K a year, then considering 5% itself a decent or can go upto 10% but if you earn 10K then this won't apply cause you need to cover your basic needs which means no room for spending on things that isn't necessary.

If you gamble based on your own desires without looking at other people or your colleagues, there should be no need to ask questions like this even though they are worth asking. Because the matter of what percentage of your salary you use for gambling is completely your right, so even if you use it all for gambling, there is no problem for other people because it is ourselves who regulates it all. But if you really want to accept advice from other people on things like this, of course 20% of your salary is quite suitable for you to use in this matter and if you think it's still too low, you can increase it again by ten percent.

Family needs and the bills should be our priorities, and the allocated amount should be in any way interfere with the finances of the family for me the ideal is 5% of the salary and income for the whole month.

I get my salary every week so I can allocate properly the money that I can use for gambling, the most important is to be satisfied with what you allocate, avoid chasing your losses, and be honest with yourself that you cannot get rich gambling you need to be extremely lucky to get rich.
