It's better to make a post when the pizza is finished, because many accounts will make reservations but sometimes they don't edit it anymore or instead create a new post again

I’ve personally seen proof of this while making a chart with the final photos of participants from the contest on our Nigerian local board. A lot of the reserved posts were just left empty without any proper update. Actually, it will be much better if participants are asked to make a final post with all the pizza-making photos from beginning to end. That way, nobody will need to reserve posts first. Anyone joining the contest will simply post everything directly together with the final photos once the work is complete.

If you can count on one thing when there is some sort of event with a money prize, it's that there's going to be some kind of drama, like last time (iirc) when a bunch of people from the same local board were voting for the exact same five pizzas. Let's see what happens this time. This year, the prize pool will increase by 40% so maybe we'll see some drama)By the way, I'm considering banning post reservations, as I think it's confusing. LoL now that the prize pool will increase by 40% there will surely be a new drama, this competition is the best in the forum and so dramas are surely expected. I think banning the post reservation policy will be very nice, sometimes you have to scroll pass a lot of reservation posts before seeing pictures of pizza posts and it’s annoying sometimes even though I have done it when I participated in the pizza contest so I support for its removal. icopress are you going to use the old thread for this year contest like you did last year, to be honest it was a bit stressful to fine were the new contest started last year and if you should use same thread this year it may be more stressful, consider creating a new thread for this years contest.

The prize pool increasing leads me to believe there will be more AI-generated submissions.
Although I hope this doesn't happen, I can't deny how entertaining it was observing as a guest viewer, people passing off AI pizzas as real pizzas last year. Shit was hilarious.

Good idea, and I would also make sure everyone understands that AI generating pizza should be banned, and it will be reported to moderators.

It's not a Bitcoin Pizza Award if there is no drama! The prize increase surely will fuel some ADDITIONAL drama. Sincerely, the level of competition has gone so far above my capabilities that I think I won't be able to make anything better than last year's.

I've never won a contest like this; cooking isn't my forte. I never understood why they make those reservation posts. It makes absolutely no sense to make this kind of post.
It's for visibility; of course, their goal isn't just the cash prizeor a few votes. They also know that accumulating a lot of merit in a single post on the front page works. The number of merits awarded will also influence voter preferences, right? This is 2 potential benefits in 1 piece of art. hahaa

Good idea, and I would also make sure everyone understands that AI generating pizza should be banned, and it will be reported to moderators. I'm sorry, isn't this rule clear enough? Pizza must be made by yourself / Only one pizza per user ➥ Note. I've never won a contest like this; cooking isn't my forte. I never understood why they make those reservation posts. It makes absolutely no sense to make this kind of post.

This is 2 potential benefits in 1 piece of art. hahaa I'm not sure about the visibility: I always click on the "new post" icon next to a thread so if someone reserved the post, I won't see it because that is an old post, so I'll see only the new ones. For sure I won't be checking old posts just to see if somebody posted a new pizza in the second page while the thread has 15 pages. For me reserving a post is not only useless but actually counterproductive.

So, we're officially in the contest—as I understand it, the topic is "Reserved." OK! In that case: The second “E” slice didn’t turn out quite right, but that was intentional—I wanted to give it a personal touch. I hope it works for the contest. I’ll cover the process of how I made it in another post.

Yes, please 😄 It would be best to replace “First Come, First Served” with “First Cook, Then Serve.”- I reserve the right to decide at my own discretion whether your baked goods are pizza or not.
Another great decision 😄 Most of the time we’re equally confused about those so-called pizzas and wondering what on earth that thing even is 😂 You’re on a roll, icopress!!!

I've never won a contest like this; cooking isn't my forte.
You don't need to know how to cook in this competition (the taste of the pizza isn't important, as the judges don't taste the participants' dishes. Luckily for their stomachs ), and I would call this competition a "culinary beauty contest". By the way, I'm considering banning post reservations, as I think it's confusing.
I never understood why they make those reservation posts. It makes absolutely no sense to make this kind of post. It's true that the first posts "win" in visibility and their chances increase (users may be too lazy to spend a long time browsing through their latest tabs and their attention may wander). The prize pool increasing leads me to believe there will be more AI-generated submissions.
Although I hope this doesn't happen, I can't deny how entertaining it was observing as a guest viewer, people passing off AI pizzas as real pizzas last year. Shit was hilarious.
I also wondered about the dangers of AI being used by contest participants (technology has improved significantly over the past year, and I believe, with the right skills, it's possible to create a high-quality image that resembles a real pizza). So, perhaps the organizers should add to the entry requirements a requirement for participants to include photos of the intermediate stages of preparation alongside their final product (the finished pizza). I understand that this would create additional burden when evaluating the results, but what if the integrity of the contest is paramount? Updated: - Post at least 2 photos: [1] Photo of Pizza + username and date [2] Photo of Pizza in the making ➥ Note
+ username and date, I think the same should be added to the 2nd photo.

There are some things that have become traditions over the years (not without the help of the Italian section), and one of these events is Bitcoin Pizza Day, which we traditionally celebrate on May 22nd. Surprisingly, just a week ago, Laszlo was online. Feel free to message him and wish him a happy holiday, because this crazy guy paid 10,000 BTC for two Papa John's pizzas, thus starting this wonderful holiday. That's why I invite you to test your culinary skills! 🍕 Quoting you from other thread. Would you consider adding one sentence which says Laszlo repeat it by paying pizza with Lightning Network? https://www.investopedia.com/news/bitcoins-pizza-guy-repeats-trick-lightning-network/https://www.ccn.com/bitcoin-pizza-guy-lightning-network/I have no suggestion about exact word/sentence, but he did it back in 2018 when BTC price was around $9700.
By the way, I'm considering banning post reservations, as I think it's confusing.
Good idea. Some of those never updated, which makes the thread longer than needed.

So, let the drama begin: I have tried to pass it through Fable, but the prompt got rejected. And Opus 4.8 disagrees with Grok. I have a couple of ideas about that, but I will keep them for myself, for now.

Since the original thread is not open, I am raising it in this discussion thread. Thank you for your work, but You might notice that you made a mistake. @Publictalk792 quoted someone else's post about pizza, but you attributed it to him.Actually, what I mean by this is that the person who made the pizza might not be getting credit, because if this list you created is counted for votes, that person might miss their chance. By the way, according to Table One, @Publictalk792's pizza entry is at number 70, also here is that original post of him making pizza, Happy Bitcoin Pizza Day 2026 I made anonymous Satoshi. And here is the final results
