Man we have so many good pizza entries this year that i almost was unable to choose from which to which, I got puzzled. It took me almost 10+ minutes to review all the pizza's (the images were loading slow), and then decided on which one I liked the most. Although I wished I could added a few more to the voting. Lastly, good luck to everyone, may the Best Pizza 🍕 wins.... Indeed a few good pizzas. I think I missed some old school contestant, but also saw someone going in the right direction. This contest is definetly evolving.

It instantly caught my attention, looks kinda similar to something, right? It reminded me of Demogorgon from the Stranger Things universe. Also some of the entries made me laugh, to be specific, the exposition ones, one comes with salad, another comes with which looks to be raw dough...lol

LOL Thanks for share @DYING_S0UL
Special thanks to Sir @icopress and www.dex.fo for supporting on a "special edition of pizza day for italian section" Quick update = If you like "good pizza" based on a photo, I am posting here https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5585945.0 - 1000 satoshi in donation to charity (to be defined association) for every Italian pizza baked and posted on the topic. + Another interesting prize including a 250USD JACKPOT and many many more items ALL FREE... I would not enter in a debate about "what is an italian pizza " as much as possible, but the contest isn't just evolving The contest has been just doubled.. I had also other prizes, and more will come in the next few days

My only question is, why do this if the same thing happened during the contest? I'd like to hear a reasonable explanation, not just another excuse to make pizza and celebrate. So what now, should we create a separate bitcoin pizza day competition in each language section with its own blackjack and lovers of mercenary love with coins, tokens and other prizes?

Well, thanks @m2017 for your questions. if you understand, that Italy "is the birtdplace of pizza" there is no any duplicate. Since I am asking also to vote the same pizza already posted only in my local section. "Each language section" - [well Nigeria has is pumpkin contest...? what is the reason to make this critique? ] I would not continue, since there is a reason to host this contest in Italy (as you "understand" these are not "my words") This is just a local edition - open to all gourmet - specific with italian taste in mind. thats all. I don't know what you mind with "reasonable explanation" but I would ask too for "reasonable questions" Votations in the same period (to be honest as been "casual") only because this is the period for ... Pizza Day. In January I would find it inappropriate or ... literally another pizza day... The other comment, sounds really inappropriate. What's the problem if someone pay by pocket a competition? There are dozens of similar contests, I would not enter in any debate, since I can just close all and ok. Please note = I am offering my time, money to support and initiative, literally earning 0 and I would not expect such reaction. Also other initiatives have provided this kind of prize.

This contest is definetly evolving. Definitely, this event keeps evolving. Besides the main Bitcoin Pizza Day on Bitcointalk, we now have parallel community-based Pizza Day activities as well. The Italian community is always leading the way, and the Indonesian community is also very active in these competitions. One thing I noticed this year is that the Nigerian community does not seem to be discussing Pizza Day as much. Do you guys not like pizza or what? 😄 I was expecting to see a lot more participation from you. By the way, our Pakistan community submitted 13 pizzas this year. We are also having our own internal raffle draw for participants. It is not a competition—just a small raffle to encourage participation. We have set aside about $40 from our community funds. 🙂 We will have our raffle after the official Bitcointalk Pizza Day winners are announced. [2026] 🍕 Bitcoin Pizza Day on Bitcointalk 🍕 - Pakistan Community Participants Raffle Draw
First Prize: $20 Second Prize: $15 Third Prize: $5
This is simply an appreciation prize for taking part in such a big community event. Of course, our national favorite food is still Biryani 😄, but for one day every year, we happily make an exception for pizza. We did this internal competition in 2024 also Winners: | Winner | Runner-up | | ────────────────────────────────────── | ────────────────────────────────────── | | | | | Cheema02 (#6) | ThemePen (#102) |

This is just a local edition - open to all gourmet - specific with italian taste in mind. thats all. I don't know what you mind with "reasonable explanation" but I would ask too for "reasonable questions" OK. On July 7th, Naples hosts the annual pizza festival Pizzavillage - the world's premier pizza festival. What prevented you from holding a local Italian pizza-making contest around the same time? It would have been a wonderful excuse to organize a local contest, considering it's "the birthplace of pizza". But for some reason, you belatedly decided to "catch on" to Pizza Day, which, incidentally, ended on May 22nd (a month has already passed). I'm not at all against holding such a contest, but I think you're fixated on one newsworthy event, while Italians have a better reason for holding this contest than to exploit Pizza Day. No offense.
You have the right to ignore inappropriate comments, because no one is judging you for it. Only you can decide how to perceive what is said: to be offended or to consider what might be useful in what is said.

Thank you for the feedback. @m2017 exploiting pizza day make me spit an hot Italian coffee. (3-2-1 ... NO COFFEEE CAN'T BE ITALIAN ) There is nothing that I want to "copy" or whatever, I not see any offence in your words, but I can't afford to pay an event like this in Italy. I am not living anymore in Italy. Hence I haven't the funds to reach Napoli. Hence I have no the funds to pay a similar initiative. There isn't enough time and due political condition this would a crazy bad idea. It's evident you don't know how it works here but its ok. The comment about the day yes ok... but probably you don't know, each year in my local section I have organized a "game" for "deliver a donation". likewise = find the oldest news in PRINTED PAPER that mention bitcoin (01/2012 ---> actually revised to 08/2011 !) . Try go guess btc prize after xxxxx months (compared to fiat monopoli). Make a pizza and post, I would donate 1000 sats for each pizza. Thats all, and since this is off topic (not based to this initiative) please feel free to reach me in private for any other question.

[This Pizza has nothing to do with Bitcoin Pizza day event]I'm just here to brag/share my experience of today! So long story short, I'm currently on a vacation, chilling with friends and family! One of my cousins has a big ass oven, and after seeing that, my hands started itching. I couldn't take part in the Pizza making contest, but my heart still craved/demanded that I make one. Straightaway, I went to the super shop and bought the necessary items. Flour, pizza sauce (for base), mozzarella cheese (homemade), chicken fry, sausages, capsicum, mixed herbs, onion, pepper... And the pizza turned out to be amazing...this is the first time I have tried making a pizza in a real oven. How does it look???

How does it look??? This is definitely a pizza I would eat. Not a big fan of the asparagus (and onions), but it's really well cooked. So, next year we will have another real contestant!

Very nice tasty looking Pizza for sure!
Regarding every pizza day competition held up to this year IMO one of the criterias for submitting a pizza should be that it has to be edible and at least look appetising. I recon some pizzas entries over the years were only made with what was readily available and the combination of ingredients wouldnt be appetising to me and those pizzas were possibly binned after the photos were taken. I know its subjective - just my thoughts.

How does it look??? This is definitely a pizza I would eat. Not a big fan of the asparagus (and onions), but it's really well cooked. So, next year we will have another real contestant! Making a Pizza is easy, but shaping the dough and adding the Bitcoin theme is far more difficult. Every time, I tried making it round, it became something else, like a random country's map, and after 5 tests and trials I was finally able to give it a round shape. I still have no idea how the Pizza chefs make that, tossing around the dough, flying it into the air, and giving it just the perfect shape. Anyway, I would say, the overall experience was fun for sure. No asparagus were used here...the green things are capsicum/bellpaper, and green chilli (for the heat).

Goodluck to all participants. Is there anyone counting the votes and keeping track of the leaderboard. I would like to watch who is up ahead right now. Also one more thing is it okay to asking to vote yourself . Like I participated and asking my friends to give me vote. Although I didn't participated just asking.
Some pizza looking tasty 😋. It's just make my cravings more for Pizza.

Tbh I think this year’s pizza contest has some of the most creative submissions. For someone who is participating in this contest for the first time, it feels like I picked the wrong year to join the pool because the pizzas are so good. Also one more thing is it okay to asking to vote yourself . Like I participated and asking my friends to give me vote. According to the rules, you’re free to vote for yourself, but can’t solicit votes from others. Although I don’t think that’s going to stop some people. Please note that participants are prohibited from soliciting votes, but you can vote for yourself if you wish.

Goodluck to all participants. Is there anyone counting the votes and keeping track of the leaderboard.
Voting process is still ongoing so it is needless to start counting votes when it is not yet concluded. Besides, the deadline is still far so we should be expecting more votes. Even if you keep track of the leaderboard, the votes that will come afterwards might change everything. This is not a political election where votes are counted before the final voting results.

Besides all that, what truly makes counting the votes useless before the deadline is that it's possible to change your vote until voting closes. Speaking of which, I should finally vote as well.
