Are your parents investing in bitcoin ? Has it impacted your journey with crypto ?

It is very difficult for illiterate people to understand about digital currency Bitcoin which I understand. My parents are uneducated and very little familiar with technology and internet for which they did not properly understand the Bitcoin relationship after spending a lot of time explaining it to them.

Actually when my investment was going on for two years I convinced them to invest in Bitcoin but they refused. I pushed my parents a lot to invest in Bitcoin and I told my parents if you invest your money in something and then invest it in Bitcoin you will get double money from it if you hold it patiently for a long time. They asked me for time to understand even agreed but there was a disruption that they used the money to buy land later which made it impossible for them to invest in bitcoins.

Sometimes the problem is not being illiterate, it's the generational gap the problem: in the last 30-40 years the world changed a lot, and it changed extremely quickly, and for many people there are just so many new complicate things coming out one after the other that is difficult to stay behind everything. The younger generations are born using certain tools so they don't need to actually learn how to use them, it's part of the process, just like you learn to walk and talk pretty much: you learn without realizing you're doing it.

Just like we know that Bitcoin is still in the early stages and many of our parents might see no reason to invest in Bitcoin but rather watch their children making money from it. I think as we are investing in Bitcoin that's better rather than to compel our parent to also invest their money when this might not still under what Bitcoin is all about. If we have a good start as a Bitcoiner, we would understand that Bitcoin price would still do better in the market rather than waiting for too long for the price to go bull before we invest our money. The market is quite moving gradually and I hope to see green candles moving up.

I agree with you, it would be better for us to invest in Bitcoin and it is not easy for them to learn about this investment and it would be better for them to be able to enjoy their old age by relaxing with their families and also most of those who have I think old people will be lazy to think about investing because the best way to invest in Bitcoin is to be able to hold it in the long term in order to make a profit and for those who are old, of course they can enjoy the results of what they invested when they were young.

Of course, there are a large number of those who are old and will be lazy to study what is currently emerging so they still choose to do what they usually do and for now it is very different from when they used to invest in real assets, so they will choose to invest as they usually do, but if they choose to invest in Bitcoin which has high volatility of course this will make them worry and could make them anxious and I don't think this is good for their health.

My parents are retired and at old age. My children might ask me whether I had invested in bitcoin in the future. Even if I had done several mistakes like not investing when it was cheap or selling it too early, I plan to keep some for my kids with no plans to sell whatsoever. That's why I'm doing my best at accumulating bitcoins for my future generations so that I don't get blame for missing out even when I was technologically literate. Even in the worst case scenario, bitcoin would be 10 times as valuable when my kids are at the age of asking about bitcoins.

But my parents trust me a lot that I won't waste money and always make potential decisions so when I invest in Bitcoin I tell my parents about it even though they don't understand much about it but they always support me. Bitcoin is not something where there is a risk of losing all of the money invested. If you invest here for long term, the chance of loss is very less. once someone understands this, he will definitely be interested in investing in Bitcoin. no matter what age he is

You don't have to rush but you also don't have to take long because I know for a fact that most of the time, you can easily explain the stuff that they need to know and most likely, they're not going to be trading so they don't really benefit too much when it comes to talking too much detail about bitcoin, they'll just hodl so make sure that you focus on that one rather than digress over and over to the information that they don't need to know. I definitely would agree at your last statement that being inclined with bitcoin, you'll need people that share the same passion as you but it's different with your parents, they will either have a hard time believing you're right or they will not listen to you and say that they're in the right. You also don't need to persist them, sometimes when that happens, it will just make them go away from you and not consider your proposition.

My parents don't invest in Bitcoin and they also don't know about Bitcoin because my parents are just a mother who doesn't have any knowledge apart from being a housewife, and my mother can only enjoy the profits I get from Bitcoin. And besides that, the long-term Bitcoin that I do is not only for my family's future, but I can also use it for my mother's expenses or needs in her old age.
And when my father was alive, he knew about Bitcoin and he really encouraged me to get involved with Bitcoin because he felt enjoyment from the profits I made while he was around. I think that most of our parents don't really have interest in investing in Bitcoin because they don't understand it. But once they start to know what actually it is then, they'll have the idea that it should be one priority for their assets because we're living in a modern age where technology advancement is vast and progressive.

No one can stop that innovation and Bitcoin is part of it as blockchain technology is emerging and cryptocurrencies are growing. But out of its growth, with so many cryptos out there, they should know first and more about Bitcoin before they go in the depths of it.

It all depends on age and perception of the modern world, its trends. This question about the possibility of parents investing in cryptocurrency cannot be considered unambiguous, since my parents are well over 60 and they generally have no desire to bring anything new into their lives. but at 45, I have an understanding of the prospects for using crypto and its benefits. And younger people already live like fish in water in the world of crypto and everything that connects them. This trend will only improve over the years.

Actually, I have been recommending this to them (my parent) for a long time, but if you think about it what they need when they are old is no longer investing in assets with high volatility but they need to invest to ensure their health. Therefore I have decided to no longer recommend Bitcoin. Meanwhile my oldest brothers until now have almost all invested in Bitcoin because the first one suits what they are looking for regarding investment and in Bitcoin they don't worry about taxes. The 20-45 year age range for investing in Bitcoin is still attractive but that is not a specific benchmark. I only pay attention to the people closest to me after providing education about Bitcoin investment.

I think it is great that you are making your own decisions about investing in crypto even if your parents do not agree. You are not letting their doubts stop you and that is very confident. In my case brother my parents illiterate and they don't know about Bitcoin. Even in my family no one knows amd now I told them and they are now getting interest in Bitcoin. My Parents still don't know about that and they also don't want to know. And they are much older and my parents you can't believe that they even don't know how to use mobile. Yes the world has changed very very quickly in the last 40 years. As I remember when the internet was discovered, and the Google search engine was created, the emergence of Facebook and YouTube, until entering the era of social media and the opening of new types of work that utilize social media and the internet, all lasted around 30 to 40 years. Our parents who may be 50 or 60 years old have experienced a very fast developing world that is different from what they experienced in their childhood. I mean the current generation has adapted to this fast world since childhood. Because of this, we know what is called gap generation.

My parents also didn't know about bitcoin. They don't even know how to operate social media. They only use WhatsApp because of necessity. This happened because they were no longer able to adapt to very fast changes because they were already 40 years old when the internet started to spread widely in my area.

But they support their children to learn. They don't teach us the way they used to learn, but they teach us to learn according to current world conditions. That's why I know Bitcoin, this forum and some things about the internet.

I think that most of us who are members here in the forum are not supported by their parents; it seems that they just let them do what they do. It seems like it's the same with me; they also just let me do what I want to do in this industry.

Envious meaning they are jealous so if they are having that feeling then for sure that they will not support there child because that feeling is so negative. But I think you just use the wrong word for that, but still I understand your point. Also its expected that they don't know about what we are doing or investing since they are old and maybe outdated about this.

Your relatives maybe don't believe what you do since they don't understand about it also they didn't bother to learn since what they want to do is those traditional way to earn money and they are not open to learn something new since maybe they think its risky to them. If they are showing no interest about it then don't feel bad if you have certain feeling like this and try to understand that maybe for now investing or learning bitcoin is not for them at the moment. I also don't bother my parents to learn this since I don't want to get stressed. If I gain some profits then I will just give them some money then enjoy it, since they deserve  stress free life and enjoy their retirement.

Most old parents are not really interested in bitcoin in my region or should I say in my community, not that they are having any negative thing about bitcoin, but they are not just ready to invest in bitcoin. My parents don’t have bitcoin, they are not really interested in it, maybe just because of their age. I told them about bitcoin, they just believe in physical investment, but they never discouraged me from investing in it before. Whenever we are having discussions about bitcoin, they do encourage me, and they do say good things about it, but all my brothers and sisters have bitcoin in their wallets.
