That is such a BS with this Algerian boxer. At first, Olympic committee totally failed when they allowed him/her to participate in women boxing. Look at the athlete. I see a man there. That is such an unfair situation, when a woman train to fight against women, and see this dude as an opponent on the ring.

Just look on olympic records by men and by women. Numbers arent the same, sometimes not even close. Allowing men to participate in women sport is wrong. Where women have records, men have only qualification standard (100m dash for example). That is why it is unfair what this Algerian boxer did.

I 100% agree with you. What has the world come too,i dont know how they can allow this. You can clearly see that this a man and not a woman and ofcourse you are gonna dominate them all because you are stronger and faster. The organizers of the Olympics are to be blamed for this. They are not supposed to allow this to happen at the first instance for one whose gender has been changed from male to female. The strength of them being men will still be in them despite their gender changed to woman.

I think we are all wrong if we assume and accuse him of cheat by saying that he has changed his status from a man to a woman, because if we were more knowing a lot about the laws in other countries, of course we will understand that not all countries will allow gender changes, including Algeria and the majority of other Muslim countries, Imane Khalif's victory in my opinion is valid if we refer to the regulations and also the decisions taken by the Paris Boxing Unit (PBU) which upholds Justice, Inclusion and Non-discrimination on the basis of gender identity, so that as a woman of course she deserves to fight with women, but if the boxing authorities disqualify her just because she has a testosterone disorder or hormones that are skewed like men, isn't that also one discrimination against someone who has a hormonal disorder since birth?

Spain U23 have literally continued from where their senior national team left off in Euro 2024, they're are completely tearing this Japan team apart, and the Japan team have looked pretty solid so far all through the group stages, scoring 7 goals and never conceded any goal until today that Spain have put 3 unanswered goals past them right now, two from another Barcelona sensation Fermin Lopez and one from Abel Ruiz, this definitely all wrapped up for Spain with just 5 additional minutes left to play for.

I thought this match would be quite tough but in the end it was an easy win for Spain. Japan only looked good in the beginning but when Spain found their first goal, that was what became a disaster for Japan. Instead of equalizing the score, Japan even conceded 2 more goals. It seems that it wasn't just Spain's first goal that broke Japan's mentality but they also had to accept the bitter reality when their goal was disallowed by VAR.

Spain really looked different compared to when they played against Egypt. They played quite impressively and no longer made mistakes that resulted in them losing the previous match.

They have made significant changes in their approach towards the match, they must have indeed learned form their loss to Egypt, but that said Japan also hit the woodwork a couple of times and had some decent chances of the their own, they just could find the back of the next.

Egypt have also just restored parity against Paraguay, Paraguay had taken the lead mid way into the 2nd half and looked like they'll be running away with it, but not just yet says the Egyptians as this could be headed for an extra 30 minutes of play.

But this honestly starts to make no sense. This is all politics getting involved with sports and i dont know why they would allow this. This is messed up. If they want to allow transgenders then go make them their own competition. What is happening on this olympics is honestly crazy and messed up.

These are modern times, nowadays it is no longer the sporting aspect that stands out, but rather people defending their ideals and causes... I have nothing against someone deciding what to do with their own life, but I consider a dispute like this in sport to be very unfair... No matter how much a person chooses their gender, biologically it is impossible to change, that is, a man will always have much more physical strength than a woman.

Don't get me wrong, Imane has 9 losses in her career, she is not some super human, if a male fought these ladies he would destroy them unless he is some weakling, this woman is a woman, but she has a disease that makes her incredibly strong compared to any other woman, there are only a few hundred to thousand people who has this disease and none of them are boxers, just Imane Khalif, so everyone thought she was transgender. These attackers of Imane Khelif are either biased, misinformed or have racist tendencies. They are talking as if Angela Carini was thrown into the ring to fight a man. Khelif might have faced some difficulty in the past in proving her sex, but she is not a superwoman. She has lost nine fights and even lost in the last Olympics fighting against women. Using the case of an unprepared boxer who decided to throw in the towel after 46 seconds to discredit the Algerian is not acceptable. Would there be an outcry from these racists if it was the Italian that won the fight?

The Olympic committee has stated that she passed the criteria to compete in the competition. She should be given the support to continue and not be distracted by these unwarranted attacks.

Am too that old when it comes to the Olympics games and competition but I won't lie, if you hadn't mentioned that this person is a her then I would have thought that this is definitely a man and I think there is also a similar case with a boxer in this present Olympic games although I don't really know the names but despite the fact that her testerone levels are way up making her physique more like a man she is still allowed to participate although don't know if the boxer is also the type of athlete that takes stuff to increase their strength.

I can’t say that I’m surprised this is happening in this Olympics. From the opening ceremony, it was obvious that this Olympics was going to be inclusive of all genders and groups. I think it’s unfair to the biological women that they will have to go against a male in a combat sport. I have been following the story since yesterday and some people are saying Imane Khelif isn’t trans. The whole story is just so weird. I hope we get all the facts right before their next fight.

Alcatraz has had djokovic's number lately.  I'm not a huge tennis guy but I love top competition.  Think this no matter what will be djokovic's highest medal even if he loses.  Seems like this was the gold medal match everyone wants to see.  It's been a pretty good Olympics so far with track and field just starting up.  Haven't bet at all but thinking about hitting the 100m and 200m dashes. Prior to the Olympics, I didn't know about him. For someone that missed majority of the swimming events but still see Leon Marchand getting crown with a gold medal every single time. It's really impressive to say the least. What even interesting is that he didn't just win one category but had to do it more than two times to show that it wasn't a mistake that he got the gold medal the first time.  I will keep watching him to see if he gets to win any more medal but even if he doesn't, he already has his place in the history books.

He's just 22 years old and have achieved a lot till now. 4 golds in the same edition is unbelievable. He won golds in Men's 200m Breaststroke, Men's 200m Butterfly, Men's 200m Individual Medley and Men's 400m Individual Medley. BTW, some credit should be given to the Americans as well, since Léon Marchand is a resident of Arizona, and also part of the Arizona State University swim team. And he first came to limelight during the 2023 NCAA Division I Men's Swimming and Diving Championships.

It isn’t just high testosterone. He has the chromosomes of a man. Many think that is what determines sex. Even if it was just a testosterone issue though, it still wouldn’t be fair. People are supposed to win at the Olympics because they’re the best in the world at what they do. Not because they have advantages over other competitors.

The blunders that Spain made when playing against Egypt really taught them a lesson. Whoever the opponent is, they still can't be careless because it could be the beginning of a nightmare. Spain will play Morocco in the semifinals, and it looks like it will be quite a tough match for both teams.

This really turned out to be a very rough match because both teams did not hesitate to commit fouls so that their opponents could not penetrate easily. The performance of the two teams is also not much different. It's just that when the match entered the final minutes, it was quite clear that Egypt had better stamina and motivation than Paraguay.

I saw a single-hoop 3x3 basketball match for the first time in the Olympics and I liked it very much.
Serbia won the match between Serbia and Poland 21-12. After this match, there was a match between USA and China and USA won the match 21-17.
