It looks like I predicted exactly what was going to happen in the Atletico Madrid v Real Madrid matchup in one of my earlier posts here.    1-0 lead by Simeone's side in 90 minutes but Real Madrid reaching next stage anyway...

I'm really sad for Atletico Madrid to tell the truth.    They completely deserved the win. Wasting many important chances before penalty shoot-outs and that unlucky cancelled penalty by Alvarez finished them off.

Now the quarter final matchups are as below.

- Arsenal v Real Madrid

- Barcelona v Dortmund

Real Madrid will surely win Arsenal because they are more inform than them if real Madrid could overcome Atletico Madrid then surely they will overcome Arsenal, Arsenal is very inconsistent so it is impossible for them to win real Madrid, real Madrid are very determine to win the champions League this season and I think playing with Arsenal on this stage is a bonus for them however they should not be too confident because arsenal may surprise them.
I also believe PSG will win Aston Villa if they can defeat Liverpool then they will surely defeat Aston Villa PSG is more inform than Aston Villa I will bet PSG to win in this match.
The match between Barcelona and Dortmund will be a very difficult match however Barcelona will win them because Barcelona is very much inform than them and are very determine to lift the champions League title this season but Barcelona should buy in there best if not Dortmund will surprise them.
The must difficult match here is Bayern Munich and Inter I really can't predict who will win this match is a very difficult one.

After Liverpool failed to advance to the quarter-finals, the chances of an English team winning the UCL trophy are very small, now the EPL representatives are Arsenal and Aston Villa, in my opinion both teams will have difficulty when facing other strong teams such as Real Madrid and PSG. Liverpool were very unlucky in the second leg, they only needed a draw to qualify, but the goal scored by PAG at Anfield changed everything.

This season Champions League will be tough one due to the clubs competing for the title. IMO Barcelona are the favorites to win the Champions League this season due to their good and consistent style of playing. Real Madrid will definitely pass through Arsenal, shouldn't be much of a problem to make it into the next fixture.

I'm not surprised to see Barcelona as the favourite, they've been doing really well so far and got matched up against Dortmund, which is considered the weakest team in the bunch.
But if I had to bet, I'd probably go with Inter, simply because of the attractive odds. In terms of skills, they might be slightly behind the higher-rated clubs like Barcelona or Real, but they are currently leading Serie A and made it to the quarter-finals so they must be doing something right.
A small-size bet on Borussia is also tempting. They made it to the final last season, so maybe they could do it again, but I can't quite imagine them eliminating Barcelona.

Before this round my favorite team was Liverpool, and I really didn't expect them to be eliminated, especially after winning the first leg in Paris. Now I would say that the favorite team is, as usual, Real Madrid: in one way or another things always go in their favor. Barcelona is the main opponent but they have a young team, they've already beaten Real Madrid this season but should they meet again in a Champions League final the story will probably be different.

As tough as the Super Sixteen was for Real Madrid, I think the semi-finals won't be that tough for Real Madrid because the far better performing team than Arsenal this season was Atletico Madrid who already beat Atletico Madrid. To catch up, there is no big team in the Champions League now, so if Real Madrid does well in the semi-finals and if Real Madrid can overcome the obstacle of the semi-finals, then I believe they will win the Champions League title this season. The most competitive game of the Champions League quarter-finals will probably be Bayern Munich vs Inter Milan. Bayern Munich and Inter Milan are teams in almost the same category, so the competition between them is more likely to be even.

In as much as it is definitely bad to underestimate or underrate any team at any champions league I still think Arsenal wouldn’t be much of an obstacle to Real Madrid like how Atletico Madrid were much of an obstacle. Atletico were Stan rivals of Real Madrid and that made the game extremely difficult for Real Madrid, more so in terms of balance there is a much more balance in the Atletico Madrid team than Arsenal team that has almost a fiat attack. Just as Arsenal legend Thierry Henry said “Arsenal just need to believe they can go past them”, because even if you manage to come out with a decent performance against Real Madrid they have this ability to just knock you out in the dying minutes, it’s their heritage.

As for a team that will cause Real Madrid problem I think, PSG can be that team, although they lack much of a champions league experience but they are definitely one scary team to face and should the semi finals be between them then it will be another big game for Real Madrid again.

On the other side I see Barcelona until the semi finals at the moment, Dortmund cannot withstand this pressure from an inform Barcelona. The other game is a game I didn’t want to see which is Bayern Munich, I will fancy a Barcelona vs Bayern Munich semi final but with the type of football Barcelona is playing Bayern Munich will find it difficult against them. So for me inter Milan will most likely qualify to the semifinals because of their low block formation which has been so good this season. I see them defeating Bayern Munich with such game and then also eliminating Barcelona again

This matches appears to have an easy prediction especially this particular one - Arsenal v Real Madrid even before the date fans were anticipating for the Real Madrid Victory due to their experience in the league. Including me I'm not having too much confidence for Arsenal to eliminate Real Madrid but when it happens I will be very shock.

Secondly, this match - Barcelona v Dortmund, Dortmund are not being doing well in the Bundesliga and they have reached this stage in the Champions League. In this match I see Barcelona as the favorite due to their recent performance and compared to what Dortmund are playing now.

As for the remaining two games - PSG v Aston Villa and - Bayern Munich v Inter I can't really say anything in this match because all the teams have maintained consistency which is why I found it difficult to choose among them.

Yes soccer analyst and pundits might have gave both Arsenal and Aston Villa slight chances of qualification to the next semifinals of UCL, however I have a contrary view because the present Real Madrid squad is as formidable as they use to be except maybe Vinicius Jr and Mbappe other few players while Saka would be back for Arsenal so it's going to be a dicey match on a good if Arsenal are in top of their game they look unstoppable, while Aston Villa clash with PSG would also be a tough match because I expect Emery to do the needful by playing attacking football against the french champion rather than defending hopefully would come out with a favorable outcome.

Barcelona are at least a few steps ahead of Dortmund. I don't see a future for the German side in the CL anymore. 

Bayern Munich vs Inter is a harder one to predict. I'm closer to Inter here. Their general performance look more credible to me. Bayern Munich are a quite interesting club this year. One day they struggle vs Celtic and another day they erase Leverkusen on the pitch.

PSG vs Aston Villa. I was shocked by Liverpool's inadequate performance vs PSG. Even if they can't eliminate PSG then I wouldn't expect Aston Villa to do more than them.

Munich does have a sharper attack but the problem in Munich is its defense is not good so this team is not very effective unlike Inter, their defense is quite good and also the attacks they build are also very sharp.
