I go with the first one case.

Even taking into account that there are only 15 of us and the results will be very close due to the competition format, I would prefer a wider distribution of the prize fund (the second option with 4 prize places). In this case, probably almost until the very end, each participant will have a chance to get into the prizes (or, on the contrary, lose them). I think it will be more fun. However, any option will suit me, I am not very worried about it.

I'll go with the 1st option. Thats 20% of the field that will get paid, we are only 15 people on this pool so thats a pretty good number

Kinda dislike the prize distribution though. What if we breaks it down to 50%, 30% and 20% for 1st, 2nd and 3rd

This breaks down to 10mbtc, 6mbtc and 4mbtc instead. Abit twist but I kinda like this one better

Hi Trofo, sadly we only have 5mbtc from sponsorship + the weekly freebets. Maybe next year we can receive a much better deal or bigger prizes from sponsors.

Considering we're 15 players, I vote for 3 paid places as well. We also have freebets to play for.

20% of paying spots is a decent number in such competitions, although I'm fine with whatever you decide to go with.

I add the tiebreak, you need only to put the number of goals you think the winner of the round is gonna have. (for example in the first round the correct number was 16 from LTU).The closest predictions wins.
If the draw still is gonna be the first who send the picks.

About the freebets:

If we have only one winner he took the $50 in freebets. If we have two with the same ammount of points i talked with the sponsor and we are gonna split in one of 25$ for each one.
If we have more than two winners with the same score the tiebreaks enter into play.

There is a certain logic to this, since most of the participants bet on the obvious favorites and received the same number of points, and the one who took a risk (and guessed correctly) beat everyone else.
I'm always interested in how the lucky ones spend their free bets, if it's not a super big secret then it was good to see your choice.

Great option in my opinion!
It seems to me that this is the perfect balance between the amount of prizes and the number of prize places. Unexpectedly, this competition becomes (potentially haha) one of the most profitable (and simple, which is very important for me) among the others in which I participate.
