Im so bad this round by picking Dortmund and Atletico when I can pick Manchester City. I tried to be sneaky but that didnt pay off

Yeah Im curous with this as well. Anyway whats the tiebreaker for the prize winner just in case we have few people on top with the same number of goals by the end of the season? Not that I really expect that to happen but just to be safe, I think having a tiebreaker rules in place would be better

Im still thinking about what is gonna be the tiebreaker for the leaderboard, but in this week im gonna put all in the main post when i come back to my house and enter in my main account.

And the new strategy of elche doesnt pay his dividends, so he now have the international break to rebuild and come with a new fashion one, or........ maybe keep pushing with it.

No man it didn't work, but since it is just the beginning of the season, I am still with a chance to fight for the top spots. I think it's a good strategy to try different things now to get an early edge since there is still time to make up for it if it doesn't work. I doubt I will go again with this strategy but I think I will mostly go for 2 or 3 German teams each round, I think there is more probabilities of high scoring games in the bundesliga.
Anyway congrats to the winners and high scorers of this round.
I like this game, it's quite fun, maybe next season we could add the possibility of using a "captain", the chosen team would have their goals doubled. I think it can spice things up a bit!!

About the leaderboard..... some people is starting to falling behind (cof buwaytress cof) and famososmuertos is in top with cryptofrka and iv4n. The super good thing is we have only 3 points between the leader and the user in the 11 position.

Liverpool should have scored 7 and then we'd be talking about this in a very different light heh. But don't worry, I'm going to keep punting on the unlikelies, though maybe I'll give in and pick teams with players whose names start with "H" and end with "aaland". I need to repsyche myself for these types of competition and do the right thing. But where would casinos be without suckers like me, eh?

I really trust your strategy it can be a very good one in some case, the main problem is as always we have one or two teams super top in other leagues which can score a lot of goals.

About the captain thing yes i have that idea and a few others more in my original contest but well we have to simplify things for the first time.

Hi guys!

I updated the main post, with the prize dsitribution and some other aditional info about the contest. Here is the added ones.


- We are gonna try to stick to the PM calendar but this is not gonna be super stric. (im still gonna need to see how is develop and change the calendars in the most tricky part of the season)

- Rounds only gonna be played on weekends.

- When some leagues are not playing on weekend for cups, posponed rounds , bundesliga winter rest, etc im gonna add some other teams from the reamining leagues to reach 20 teams.

And about the tiebreaks.


Tiebreaks:

    Tiebreak for rounds: Total ammount of goals scored by the 20 possible teams to be selected in that round.In case of still a draw the first submited picks win.
    Tiebreak for the leaderboard and placements: 1) Number of rounds won 2) Total ammount of goals scored in the 4 leagues combined at the end of the season.

As you can see i change the tiebreak for round, i dont really like how it work in this alst round so i see a good one in the jayce fail and i took it so that is gonna be the new tiebreak for rounds.
About the second tiebreak for the leaderboard is gonna be added on the next round to be fill.

Finally this week the league will start again, will enjoy the league matches because for the international break I didn't enjoy it so much that I didn't even watch it.

Not going to pick any LaLiga clubs this time - I've noticed that both Real Madrid and Barcelona will be playing tough teams, it's also an away game so I doubt they'll get many goals.

Bayern and Leverkusen remain the pick these clubs will score a lot of goals.

About Bundesliga it was surprasing to see Hendenheim in the first spot, and i was thinking to myself if they can hold into the top five they can be an option to choose when i reshufle the teams in round 5.

Made my picks as well, I'm sure we'll all have the same 3 teams again. The fun is in choosing the differentiators, I think I got 1 that not many people will take.

I wonder if choosing the favorites is the best approach here, I was close to choosing both Arsenal and Tottenham although they play against each other and have 'tough' opponents on paper.

I'm sure we'll see a lot of goals there, whereas Atletico or Dortmund might be happy with defending minimal leads.

I just submited my picks, i was super doubtfull about what to take in this round, and i make a few bolds selections, i feel something like a buwaystress play  i really hope to no regret of what i do, but its not gonna be an easy round i think.

I went with what I feel are quite safe selections. Have a feeling most of the teams I have chosen will be in everyone's selections. Who knows what is the best tactic for competition like this. That is why I like to play new stuff on the forum

I wanted to pick Inter, but it will be an away game for them, I think they will win with a comfortable score of 2-0, maximum 3-1. Yes, it is a good choice, but I think in this competition we should try to find games where we can potentially see an abnormal result (like that Barcelona game), and this game does not look like that at all. I chose Atletico - they should score at least 2 goals and if their attack finally starts to realize its potential, the score will be higher.
