We are gonna have to wait until tomorrow to declare a winner, because the game between Atalanta and Como was delayed until tomorrow.

When is the next round? As I understand, some picks will be impossible due to the overlapping dates. Today Real will most likely score at least three goals against Alaves and I would choose Real. Barcelona plays tomorrow.

In principle, by eliminating the most obvious options, the competition becomes more diverse, which is not a bad thing.

Thank you, that's very smart. With the new format of the Eurocups and games on different days of the week (and these can be games from different rounds lol) it's really easy to get confused.
I doubt anyone will pick Real in the next round  Atletico are not getting all the points they should yet, but they still have zero losses and they score quite a lot.

I dont know what to think about that specific game, it can be a rain of goals or a super tense match.

I have to recheck the fixtures of other teams but i can smell a big choice for Premier League teams, with Real having a hard game and Bayern teams play between them.

My score of 16 (more than 3 goals per team on average) is a horrible one this round.

Inform teams need to be respected, I almost went with Bayern against Leverkusen this round only to conclude that's pushing it a bit too far.

Looking forward to the rotation in the teams, to have some fresh pairs to look at. All in all, this is really fun

Hahaha yes, 16 was low in this round, just imagine missing that round, you can be in a deficit of -21 against LTU in a single round.

I just entered my picks and.... with big teams playing between them i went with a unortodox solution, lets see how this end, i can only say i choose only from 2 leagues.



I was just seeing, seems like Chelsea if dont flop can enter in the pot.
In Bundesliga we are at risk of losing Dortmund and Stutgart for a few rounds.
In Serie A no comments.
And LaLiga we can say good bye to Girona for a few rounds it seems.

Stuttgart and Dortmund will be missed, Girona not so much. As far as I am concerned you can ditch whole Serie A 

I had my doubts about this competition but I must say it is more fun than I anticipated. Looking forward to see how it will develop and grow.

Thanks for reminder, @darbit. After such great last round for me it would be shame to not submit answers this week. Wouldn't be against to take another free bet again . Don't know how about you guys, but I avoid going with big games like Bayern - Bayer or Atletico - Real. You never know what to expect from such games.

12 out of 16 players picked Dortmund and currently its 0-2 against Bochum.

Yep 0-2 in a home game against a team that survived relegation last season and hasnt win a single match this season. Thats terrible and now Bochum will probably defend until full 90 minutes so if we are lucky then Dortmund probably could score 1-2 goals  

The reason I picked them was because they were basically playing against a fodder team, cant believe that this actually happened

I think that having a group for the five leagues in the Superbru App is a good alternative to control the results, it is "silly" to lose the prediction of 4 teams by being late to one, the spreadsheet should be the receiver of that information.

Then the best in points of those groups could be the tiebreaker, for the round and also for the final total... anyway, now the rule has been applied correctly to me, so I have given a bonus advantage of at least 10 goals...

And AC Milan just scored 3 goals(from Morata, Pulisic and Theo Hernandez) against Lecce this evening so it's a very nice start for all participants(we are 4 apparently) who have picked Dortmund and ACMilan, 7goals in 2 matches, it's hard to make better.

Which one would be the 5th league? I think almost everyone will miss some rounds before the end of the season because the day and the time of the deadline change every week so, nothing is lost for you up to now.

If Bayern and Bayer didn't play each other (and other clubs like City/Real didn't have difficult games) then I think few would choose Dortmund. But this round left few options.
It's cool that Dortmund lived up to expectations (although in the context of a competition where everyone gets +4 it doesn't matter), but still, what clowns they are. I'll have to check their game history, maybe I should bet against them when they're leading and on them when they're losing?

Well guys, im very sad when i see someone missing the deadline for the round, and this time im double or triple sad because this time it was my friend from localboard famosos, and for worst he was doing phenomenal in this contest being the leader. And this like he said is gonna hurt him in the leaderboard.

I talk with him, and i think similar to him, maybe i need to change this kind of deadline that give you a 0 for the round. But i face several problems by doing that, and i dont find a practical solution.

First of all is the show picks thing, it can give advantage in some late stage of the season to know what pick your oponent. And i want to show it as fast as i can to give more trust to the whole contest.

Im open to ideas, i cant change that for this season because is already started and i already aplied the rule of giving 0 points for missing the round to some players. But for next season i want to apply something more loose and maybe give a -3 point/goal penalty for late submission, or let it be and dont take into account some picks, but this can be also a  problem because you can wait to see if X player play or not and taking and advantage of that.

What do you think? Im open to hear opinions. Seems easy but when you analized is more complicated. Im gonna start to talk with Joker or from my side to explore alternatives for the next season, with forms we are a little limited in some options.

You have to show answers immediately which is a problem. In early BSFL seasons we hid the answers of the opponent from players that did not submit but that cannot be applied here.

Maybe give a 50% penalty to points won?
That way nobody can calculate and see who the remainder of the pack picked?

Example - you are late for the first game. You can still pick 5 teams that play after the time of your submission, but only 50% of the goals they score counts.
The penalty would be a bit less severe that way, and those people would still feel like they are playing for something that week.

But why penalty? This is not a school, it is an individual competition of goals, and there are rules, the current ones already exist, no way, but in this case and the format that we have, why should we have an added penalty, if the very fact of leaving out a game is already a penalty.

In fact, I mention it again, the same superbrue adds def, when you arrive late, but you can continue doing it in the other games, today we have had a good example in this round of the Premier League, these players arrived late:

Because it isn't fair otherwise. Superbru is a 3rd party app and you have to play all the games, so there's no edge to gain if you pick late.
You don't see picks from other people before the start of the game.

and the spreadsheet does not necessarily have to show the results of those who send them before.

But it's more fun to see that data - if it is locked, there will be no banter and no interaction in the thread.

Here's an example how you can play this in your favor if there is no penalty.

With 5 rounds to go, you are 5 points ahead of me. You submit, the deadline is the 1st game which is irrelevant.
Your picks are shown, I see them, I submit late and take 4 of your teams, changing only one. I receive no penalty.

I do that all 5 rounds and the odds of me catching up on you increase.

Penalties are always a shitty thing. Show me a better way and I'm all up for it, but not if it spoils the fun - example, if picks remain hidden.
