You may have understood my question by looking at the above question. I have spent a lot of time since coming to this forum. Now, we are learning a lot of things. Still, we new members come to this forum and slowly learn and move forward, and then we see a lot of big rankable accounts. There are a lot of merits, but they are less active. Now, many big accounts are around, but we newbies need help identifying which one is actually what kind of account.

Is there an organized list of reputable members in this forum? By looking at their list, newbies will understand who is in a good position and doing good things in this forum. If there is a post like this, please show it and help.

I want to know more, so I asked the following questions:

Who are the members of DT1 and DT2? What are the functions of DT1 and DT2 members? Why are DT1 and DT2 kept even though every thread in the forum has moderators, and what are their requirements?

As a new member, I'm eager to learn about these essential aspects of the forum. I greatly appreciate your help and look forward to learning from your insights. Your guidance will be invaluable to me and I am truly grateful for your assistance.

You can find here the top 1000 most recognized members and as well as you can also see here most trusted 1000 members.

Now if your purpose is to know only reputable users then you can use bpip.org. And there is  BPIP Extension .
The extension activates when you browse BitcoinTalk.org pages such as threads or user profiles and inserts additional info about BitcoinTalk users and additional controls.

I don't know which purpose you are looking fo rht reputable members but I will suggest you explore forum instead of finding reputable member because some times you can find valuable info on a ranking member.

I will highly recommend to visit this topic - (GUIDES) on Bitcointalk. Index thread

I want to know more, so I asked the following questions:

Who are the members of DT1 and DT2? What are the functions of DT1 and DT2 members? Why are DT1 and DT2 kept even though every thread in the forum has moderators, and what are their requirements?
Explanation about DT
What is DT?
DT stands for DefaultTrust. Well, in fact, DefaultTrust is an account of the forum managed by admin. In your trust list, DefaultTrust is trusted by default. You can include/exclude anyone from your trust list though.
So, we got what is DT 0, you can also say list of people whom you trust.

Now, if DefaultTrust includes you on his trust list, you will be DT-1 member. If any DT-1 member includes you in his trust list, you will be DT-2 member.
If theymos wants to include someone to DT-1 list, theymos includes that person in DefaultTrust’s trust list.
Now, if DT-1 members include someone in his/her trust list, that person becomes DT-2. I have already used an example. Again, for example, a DT-1 member has included user ‘X’ in his trust list, so he/she becomes DT-2 but if another two DT-1 members exclude ‘X’ from his trust list, ‘X’ will no longer be in DT-2.

Feedback
Since you are trusting DefaultTrust by default, you are trusting all the DT-1 ad DT-2 members by default. It’s simple, if you trust your friend, and your friend trusts another guy, logically you are trusting that another guy.
But you can still exclude a member from your trust list. For example, you don’t trust DT-1 member ‘X’, go to your trust setting. In the box write tilde (~) and the DT-1 member name whom you don’t want to trust. It’s like {~X}. Or, if you don't want to trust anyone, simple put ~ before DefaultTrust.
Now if user DT-1 member 'X' gives someone a feedback, you will not see it by default.

Summary:
In trust setting, all those are mentioned as below-
Depth 0, the list of people who are included in your trust list.
Depth 1, the list of people who are trusted by Depth 0.
Depth 2, the list of people are trusted by Depth 1.

You can also visit the theymos post - https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=211858.0

You can check this list for the members who are in DT 1 and DT 2
full list of DT 1 and DT 2 members

For the duty of the DT members, scams are not being moderated in this forum; in most cases, it's left for the DT members to follow up on evidence that's made available and drop visible feedback on users profiles based on what's happening, either positive for a good rating and negative to serve as a warning for any users that's a suspected scammer or spammer.

You may have understood my question by looking at the above question
From its contribution on this forum, basically "rankable" users are determined its merit numbers regardless the actual rank or its activity. Some of them doesn't care their merits numbers, only their contributions, and most of these users don't wear paid signatures.

Here is the updated DT members since new DT system was implemented https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5117330.msg51424908#msg51424908

Or they are totally visible on BPIP or on LoyceV thread list https://loyce.club/trust/ranking/

Welp, most of the replies above who posts while i'm still searching the threads, thus the late and duplicate suggestions.

Bpip is an excellent tool IMO.

OP reputable members are not just members with high ranks on the forum or high numbers of earned merits. I would suggest bpip as well as it will show you multiple stats all of which are useful to what you are looking for.

Who are the members of DT1 and DT2? What are the functions of DT1 and DT2 members? Why are DT1 and DT2 kept even though every thread in the forum has moderators, and what are their requirements?
You can check this list for the members who are in DT 1 and DT 2
full list of DT 1 and DT 2 members

This is kind of correct. DT help with scams, some use the status to abuse people or positions, some bust scammers etc. There are many things DT members do.

Don't just blindly trust a DT member. Check their trust and see what others have to say about them, how long ago the + or - trust was left, if there is a reference link etc. Check how active they are and if they earn alot of merits. Anyone can make DT these days, but not everyone can keep it. Lot's of us have been DT for years bouncing back and forth from DT1 and DT2 depending on the monthly lottery, but some make DT and true colors come out. Just be careful.

Since everything else has already been covered by other members above, I'll only add one thing. You need to remember that merits in general aren't a metric for reputation. What I mean to say is that a person having a lot of merits might have a bad reputation, and it's not necessary for a person having a lot of merits to be reputable. The trust page can be a better way to check the reputation of a user, however, as said by yahoo, you should also not trust a feedback blindly, even if it's from a DT member, always do your research, check and read all the references provided and then reach a conclusion.

Everything is available for you OP. You might want to know much at a time. But I'll advice slow and steady and with time you will naturally understand how things work here.

Oops!

Someone please explain the concept of DT3 for me. Does it exist?
DT3 is a user on DT2's trust list. They have no power because in general only DT1 and DT2 have power and by default the depth of trust is 2. They can be called ordinary users, but not members of DT2 who are already on DT1's untrusted list. Correct me if I'm wrong.

Try reading the description in the thread you quoted:

Quote
The list of the DT2 group is based on the current overall trust from DT1 members.

If one DT1 member adds an ordinary user to his trust list, that user gains +1 score and becomes a DT2 member. If this DT1 member subsequently excludes him from the trust list, that DT2 member becomes an ordinary user again. If another DT1 member using the "~" character adds a DT2 member to his distrusted list, that user gets -1 score but remains in the DT2 group with a zero rating. If yet another DT1 member adds this DT2 member to his distrusted list, that user leaves the DT2 group and becomes an ordinary user again. In this case he cannot be included in the list of DT3 and further. By default the trust depth is 2, therefore ordinary users do not trust the opinions of the members of DT3 and deeper.

Since user trust in each other is always changing, I decided to create the TOP-200 of the most trusted users in the groups DT1, DT2 and even DT3.

It’s not surprising that you do not know that DT3 exist, because majority of forum members usually limit their trust list depth view to DT1 and DT2. That’s why the trust ratings by DT1 and DT2 are more visible and powerful than DT3.

You can customize your trust settings to include DT3 by adjusting your Trust Depth to 4, although it is recommended that you use the default Trust Depth which is 2.

DT members are the one who can give someone a negative trust or negative feedback to those who are cheating in signature campaigns, scammers and other reasons that aren't good for the person. Anyway, I wouldn't mind finding how many high ranking forum members that are still active in the forum because if you stay being active in the forum then you'll come across with the high ranking forum member's post in boards that you visited or posted in. Just like this one where you'll see different forum members with different ranks replied here.

Don't clearly know what you mean though. But you can check here on https://bpip.org/ for list of most Merited, most recognized, most trusted, most activity and DT members on tne forum. Just switch between various tabs on the site and you might find what you are looking for. with bpip, you can check every users profile information.

I am actually in the process of working on it, I want to leverage a Google sheet Breakdown created by one of the Top ranking forum members and come up with a more graphical-friendly interface on the Google sheet by manipulating his provided data into an analytical admin dashboard view, although he set the Sheet as View Only but I will come up with the template and possibly he will give me full access. here is the link to his Google-Sheet of the forum member classification. https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1mD6cdsQNJ8dauTL-XLi8I0oDG5WBl0z0NeKzXTByNyw/edit?gid=1547785466#gid=1547785466

What my Admin Dashboard will do is as follows:
  • Allow user to select from a dropdown list of categories of users
  • From the graphical view of the Google sheet, the user can tell the total number of newbies of that current month since he included the date created in his column
  • From the dropdown list users can all select top-ranking members and the graphical representation of their merits received, merit sent, activity and Ranks will be clearly captured in a nicer way
  • The data and numbers will be well captured and the dashboard will be very engaging and easy to navigate

It will be similar to a bootstrap admin dashboard page.

You can customize your trust settings to include DT3 by adjusting your Trust Depth to 4, although it is recommended that you use the default Trust Depth which is 2.
Before messing with DT3 and deeper, read [Updated DECEMBER 2021] Personal Full Trust Depth viewer for all users. The data is outdated but nicely shows how Depth 3 and especially Depth 4 are filled with usernames you won't even recognize.

DT members are the one who can give someone a negative trust
You've been here since 2018 and still don't know the basics of the Trust system? You should read my topic:
I still see users, including high ranking accounts, who use the Trust system incorrectly. For the Trust system to be properly functioning while being decentralized, it's crucial that as many users as possible understand the difference between "feedback" and "Trust lists". Confusingly, the forum uses the word "Trust" for both.

Once you fully understand the system, it's important to start using it:
  • Did you do a trade in which you risked funds? Leave feedback!
  • Did you see users who left accurate Trust feedback on many accounts? Add them to your Trust list!
Anyone can leave feedback, and anyone can customize their Trust list!

But first, keep reading, so you're sure you know the difference.
Click the quote to read the rest of that topic.

No members in the forum are more powerful than others. If you think being DT1 or DT2 members means you are more powerful than other forum members who are not chosen and voted as DT1, DT2 members, you are wrong.'

We are all the same in the forum and if a DT member misuses the DT trust list and especially DT Trust Feedback, you can simply add that member to your Distrust list, it's done simply as it should be. You don't need to be either DT1/ DT2/ DT3 members to distrust another forum member and exclude his trust feedback on your profile.

I still can't get my head around this topic, "DT". Although I have read your topic several times, but unable to grasp the topic entirely, somehow some parts are confusing to me. I guess, its not my cup of tea. That's why I rarely edit my default trust list.

Quick question: Do small members like us needs to know, or pay heeds to DT systems? Afaik it doesn't benefits those who aren't that much established in this forum. I don't see any usecase or positive or negative impact for us, at this moment. But for reputable member like you, it does matter. Am I correct it any way? Tongue

That's like saying voting in the national elections doesn't matter, because your vote is just one in so many million. It's kinda true, but if everyone else thinks like that too, the system fails.

You've earned enough Merit for your Trust inclusions to mean something:
- You must have at least 10 people directly trusting you each with an earned merit of at least 10, not including merit you yourself sent. These "votes" are limited.
 - You must have at least 2 people directly trusting you with an earned merit of at least 250, not including merit you yourself sent. These "votes" are limited.

Based on how the system should be used, users should only be included if they left good feedback and have a good Trust list. If users never leave feedback, they should never be included (even though it happens). So even if your feedback doesn't show up by default now, leaving feedback when you think it's appropriate is a way to start using the Trust system.

Still, we new members come to this forum and slowly learn and move forward, and then we see a lot of big rankable accounts.
All accounts are rankable except if your account was banned permanently or your account is garbage and does not have good posts. If you make good posts, your account will receive merit and rank up, it's rankable.

Quote
There are a lot of merits, but they are less active.
There are sendable merit created from received merit and there are sourced sendable merit from source merit distribution to merit sources. It means merit, sendable merit are not scarce.

32990 sendable merit per 30 days
Recent merit transactions show active merit circulation.

Quote
Now, many big accounts are around, but we newbies need help identifying which one is actually what kind of account.
There is nothing like big or small account. All accounts in the forum have same rights to post and there are only two boards that restrict access against newbies. In most of forum boards and child boards, all accounts at all ranks are equally allowed for posting.
