Do you still depend on your parents for up keeps asides from your salaries?

And how much do you earn, seriously sinceeyou said you are 18 and have got interested in bitcoin from the age of 16 that means you have the passion, and can trust bitcoin enough to wait for the price to appreciate over a long period of time, so if that be the case, it leads us to our next point, which will make the above question easier understood to answer.
If you are earning enough money, from your salaries and not depend on your parents for extra money and you know that after paying your bills you have cash left over for investment, I advice you buy bitcoin and hold for at least 3-5 year's to see how much profits you will have accumulated by that time.
But if you still depend on your parents for anything, that means your cash flow may not be enough and the burden will still be on the parents which justify their stance on the matter.

I don't think anyone is saying that you can't earn good money outside of a physical job.
What people tend to say is you need to put in a lot of work and effort to expect high earnings, which is good advice.
Don't fall into the trap of chasing big returns with little to no work neglecting working on your skills. Even if you're successful and end up with a fortune, you'd be looking at your peers who mastered their professions, while you'd have nothing to show for yourself other than money. That's not the best place to be.

You have developed a passion for something that's worth it, and your parents being against it did not even give you reason to back out of it, which shows how passionate and a decision-maker you are.

Now that you have started making little earnings for yourself, you can now afford to purchase that which you have so much admiration for, but while doing that, I will advise you to use a small percentage of that earning to acquire bitcoin, as you still have other bills to pay and bitcoin profit doesn't come in an instant; it takes time, and you will need to be patient.

With time, if you continue earning and keep on accumulating, you will bag a lot before you even realize it.

Really glad to see your interest in Bitcoin but if you live with your parents then you will invest in Bitcoin with their permission. Try to convince your parents well, most likely if you convince them well they will listen to you and help you enough to invest in Bitcoin. If you are self-employed and you want to invest a certain portion of your salary in Bitcoin then you can because you probably already have all the knowledge to acquire in investing in Bitcoin. But if you inform your parents and then invest in bitcoins, your parents will have no chance to blame you later.

You discovered Bitcoin at such a young age which I am sure a lot of us here in this forum would have wished. I too wish that I discovered Bitcoin when I was younger so that by now I would have had a bigger investment already. But there's no point in crying over spilled milk so I just try my best to accumulate as much now. You're lucky to have found Bitcoin early in your adult days.

It's good that at 18 you already have a good sense of financial responsibility. Your parents might have not supported you before but at least that did not stop you nor discourage you. Keep going and goodluck!

I'm not sure which generation your parents belong to, but I won't lie—it's challenging to convince Baby Boomers and Gen X to embrace something they can't physically relate to as money. They've seen and heard about enough online fraud to make anyone hesitant to invest. But to be honest, is Bitcoin completely free of fraud? We're really just seeing more advocates promoting its positive use

Bitcoin itself is free from any fraud, but there are many bad people out there who make bitcoins as victims to create victims. For people who have sufficient insight, of course bitcoin is not something bad, but for people who don't even understand what bitcoin is & how it works, they will view bitcoin as a scheme the same as Ponzi.

I'm proud of the OP, he remained firm in his stance even though he didn't get support & had to wait 2 years just to invest in bitcoin.

Welcome to the forum young lad! Be sure to diversify your investments in other things besides crypto.

At your age if you put a few hundred per month into S&P 500 you would be very rich in 20 years. Save your money, learn how to valuate assets and find deals.

Buy low/sell high as they say. Good luck!

Not all jobs are "physically demanding" though. It all comes down to your skills. Of course all jobs require a lot of effort but there is a difference between someone without skills working at a construction site and a skilled programmer sitting in an air conditioned office.

Even investment in bitcoin (or anything else) to make profit is demanding. You need to work at it, endure stress, spend a lot of time analyzing the market and take big risks that could come with big losses as well. It is not like you just buy bitcoin and become a millionaire after a short time.

Whether they are right or wrong, atleast you have heard about Bitcoin Investors and Traders testifying about how lucrative Bitcoin has been and hoe they alternate their source of incomes towards it.

Believe it that Bitcoin is not controllable by a particular body so, there is certainly no dividend of those enthusiasts roaming with the postures that Bitcoin is potential with all privileges for huge and small investor who invest their funds it to earn by it.
So then, I welcome you OP but you would need to understand that Bitcoin is not a quick rich earning program.

So be aware in case those who did not believe in Bitcoin would begin to discourage or mock you when you awaits to see your assets growing but yet at the moment it is depreciating.
Also be aware that the volatilities of Bitcoin has Bitcoin values in fluctuations of increases and decreases in values.
So, long term holding would always be the best for investor.

If you have the chance to invest part of your salary and hold that investment for some years, the you will find success in this crypto World, some investment can give bigger benefits, but the secure way is to invest in bitcoin and hold all the way. No one say it would be easy  but is the right way to go.

If your parents don't believe in bitcoin then provee them how wrong they was.

He seems to be on the right track. Someone who at 18 years old has already started accumulating Bitcoin and will do so for the next couple of cycles can get very rich. The only thing I would also recommend is that you learn about personal finance in general, although there are things that if you live with your parents you won't need as much, like having an emergency fund, but that knowledge in general will do you well, and even more so if you start investing so early.

Maybe this story won’t make sense to everyone, but I want to see if they were right—that without
"Physically demanding jobs" work, there is no money. I believe otherwise, which is why I’m writing this. Let time show. Cool

At your age, most people are still fascinated with buying video games and spending money on liabilities. Investing at this age is a good thing and you will not regret it in future. Your parents are speaking based on their level of understanding, and I don't blame them. Before the computer age, you had to go to a physical office every day for work, but this is not the case now. People can make good money from remote jobs and also engage in other online businesses like trading. I will suggest that you keep working and accumulating Bitcoin. Hopefully, you might make enough money from it that will make your life a comfortable life in the future.

Your parents were right.

May I know what you do for living? not all people have privilege and can get high salary by working as a freelancer compared to working as a blue collar job in first world countries.

Bitcoin is only a tool to multiply your money, not a way to earn from zero. Yeah some exceptions for people who make money from trading, airdrop or signature campaign, but not all everyone can get it.

it's not wrong to be passionate about something like Bitcoin right from a tender age, it's totally your decision to choose your area of interest and most of our parents that don't know what's the big deal with regards what's popular in today's century might not have it all figured out when it comes to the subject of Bitcoin but as a young person that's not yet balance financially you have to know how well prepared you're as you plan to start investing early enough. At 18 I didn't make it a big deal about taking my finances seriously up to the moment I almost finished my university studies. If I could take myself back in time and do change anything about my past decision, I would have loved to have taken my financial life seriously even while I was in school and so if you're 18 and you're not distracted by all the vices and interest that comes with such age range, I must applaud you for that.

However, you have to also set priorities right as you go about investing in Bitcoin. Set the right financial plan in place before you start investing. Your skills are important and a strong source of finance is a necessity, set these in order and when you're done doing these you can be comfortable to invest as much money into Bitcoin as you want to.

This is a great way to show your parents that Bitcoin is not a scam investment and they will definitely support you. If you put aside only a part of your income (like 30%) and buy some bitcoins every month, in the next 5-6 years you will realize that these small and step-by-step purchases will pay you big profit. But I disagree with ("Physically demanding jobs" work, there is no money). Maybe this statement is true for one person out of 1000. Many of the successful people we know today have had a difficult past and have done difficult "Physically" jobs.

Maybe this story won’t make sense to everyone,
It does make sense. There are other people that also experience the same thing as you but they also didn't give up. So, that's two years in the making for you to get started.

I am sure that you're happy with what you have achieved. Just be consistent in what you do and I think that you entirely understand the market wholly about it being so volatile.

but I want to see if they were right—that without
"Physically demanding jobs" work, there is no money.
The world has changed a lot.

The digital world has grown and remote jobs are everywhere nowadays and as well as the investing sector, we've gone digital.

I always recommend everyone read the book "The Richest Man in Babylon." Read it yourself, and suggest that your parents read it. They will understand, or learn, that physical labor is, of course, respected by everyone, but being the one who receives passive income from the physical labor of other people is always better. I will not explain why since any person should understand this himself. So, having investments and creating a business around yourself that brings income—this is not at all what your parents say about physical labor.

I've been in your position, where my partner doesn't believe in crypto, and I spend my time hunting for free crypto, there are often arguments when I'm pressed for time to complete my work, I continue to prove that with my savings which are in the form of crypto, not fiat, I show the value of assets. I was at the 2021 bull run yesterday and from there my partner believed that what I was doing was not wrong
My message is keep trying and create real proof of crypto so that people around you believe
