Even more chilling is that they decided to buy and register a domain name that is similar to the username of the bought account. Who does that? It's like someone buying your account and then buying a domain name with "AakZaki" in it. At first glance, no one would guess that your service has anything to do with exchanging crypto  Grin

If they can use shortcuts such as purchasing an account of someone else, then what else can they do that we don't know?

Actually, if you make an analogy like that, the name tomboi is actually Indonesian, which means the nature of a woman who has a character like a man. and obviously it has nothing to do with Crypto.

However, for the record, that the account has indeed changed hands based on the post history and also the acknowledgment by the current holder.
Also based on the data written by whois.com, it seems that the domain was registered outside Indonesia.

As far as my monitoring goes, the Exchange has no problems as long as there are Escrow funds. It's just that I wonder why they have to buy an account, which they may not realize that the original owner has cheated on.

I hope that the Escrow funds will always be there, if they still decide to promote their services, considering that the initial rebranding is not okay.
For the sake of something that is not wanted in the future.

Hi Bro... nutildah What do you think for this purchased account tomboi, the account has now changed hands and now that person has a non-KYC exchange service with Escrow of 10,000$, the only trust at the moment.
...

I have already realized this mistake and understand that I should have used the new “Copper Member” account; unfortunately, I have already made this mistake, named the exchange accordingly, and am already maintaining this thread from that account.
...
I hope you’ll give me a chance to earn your trust over time.

Uhh that's an odd case for sure. Is there any chance you can start over with a new name? That might be better IMO.

Regardless of what I think about it, this issue could haunt the reputation of your business in the future. Its good of you to honest about it. Having a teleported altcoinstalk profile is not so good, depending on when it was teleported.

Unfortunately, I'm not sure what the best course of action is in this situation, since we've already made a deposit using this account, built a website, and started a small company. Perhaps the forum members can offer some advice.

Having a teleported altcoinstalk profile is not so good, depending on when it was teleported.
We teleported him a few days ago.

If you're planning a rebrand, let us know and we'll update your name on our platform. Contact the administrators of the other platforms where you're registered - I'm sure they'll be happy to help.

But I won’t offer any advice on the best course of action in this situation, as that’s a matter for the more experienced members of this forum.

The account with this junk post wants to sell its account, keep an eye on this person.
What fool would buy it?
I wrote it here as a note when the account actually changed hands.

If it is not recorded here, we will never know if the account has been sold or not.
I want to sell my current Bitcointalk account.

Its an aged account with premium name (Doctor.Strange) and with green trust. You can visit the profile.

Starting bid is $500

I will accept USDT, USDC, SOL payment.

Deal will be done through ESCROW.

Original Gmail account will be provided with the account.

Scammers should stay away.

What fool would buy it?
The person who made the account sale post is probably as careless as the people who would be willing to buy such an account. No reasonable person would knowingly purchase this kind of account.

Actually i was genuinely surprised to see something like this being posted so openly, especially someone trying to sell an account in public. At this point, everyone is already keeping an eye on him.

I somehow stumbled on this thread and read this and it is unfortunate that you guys missed the opportunity to burst the tomboi scammers.

There were sufficient red flags to show that they were not genuine or their intention was not genuine, but the community over looked them because of escrow.

AakZaki, you wondered why they had to buy an aged account from 2016 to do business, I guess you have known why now. Incase you didn't realise, they wanted their account here to appear aged, which is why they teleported to Altcoinstalks instead of creating a new account there as observed by nutildah

Same reason they also bought a similar domain name as noted by Bitcoin_Arena

Actually, I didn't miss about the rotten account, I had dismantled it first before they did the exit scam. However, since the account has been given a neutral trust from someone more trusted than me, I think there is no need to oppose the granting of RedTrust.

I have sounded the initial warning sign here, but I cannot give anything more meaningful at that time, it is very unfortunate.

This time I also warned everyone that there are accounts that will be sold, I hope that it will be a concern again, so that it does not happen like the previous one.

There's 4 old accounts that added Kaz to their trust list a few months back:

Epaper - Sept 2017
poldanmig - Jan 2017
Farma - Oct 2015
BTCforJoe - Sept 2015

The first 2 changed their password on the same date, and the 4th 11 days later. If you take a look at the subjects of their recent posts, you can see they're the same, and the gist of what they're saying is the same as well.

Plus there are some healthy merit transfers between a few of their accounts and they tend to support the same flags:

https://bpip.org/flag.aspx?id=3540

I've only excluded them for now. Farma was revealed to belong to an account farmer in my Stake thread.

This user's email address was changed recently.

Shows up yesterday after 8 years of absence, spams the forum to promote a shitty looking casino, requests a $200 loan, quickly edits the loan request thread to make it look like he's offering loans, then locks said thread.  On top of all that he sent me (I doubt I'm alone) an unsolicited PM to spam the shitty casino.

Obviously, you are not the only one he sent unsolicited PM, he also sent me a PM and if you click the link in the message he sent to me it will lead you to an old thread that was created by @dewez. Link to thread: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5457016.msg66896395#msg66896395
Please someone should verify if it is actually a scam or not because it seems they sent this PM to many users. @dewez said in that thread that they sent the PM to active users in 5 different gambling thread.

I wanted to make a report about them too about the weird posting behaviour after that password and email address change. I had no idea that they even sent unsolicited messages to so many members.
Why would a service buy an account and start spamming around as though they don't know the forum rules and haven't been in the forum before? Why wouldn't they use their original account for normal promotions and updates?

I hope the account gets banned on grounds of unsolicitated messages

Casino is not fishy, they are actually not bad at all and I have been using it for years since the early days when they arrived in bitcointalk forum.
I think owner made a mistake by hiring someone he didnt know for this giveaway, but he didnt know that account was hijacked.
In the past I and other forum members received free money from l0tt0 casino and I even made two logos for them and received payment for my work.

Found 2 more today. Its disturbing how easily these accounts get accepted into campaigns despite being obviously purchased/hacked accounts.

colinistheman - reg. May 2013

The original owner was a real Bitcoin enthusiast. He knew a lot about mining hardware, GPU vs. CPU mining, coin spec configurations, and wrote in perfect English.

Then we have a 7-year posting gap between 2016 and 2023.

The new owner - like most bought/hacked old accounts - posts exclusively empty drivel, mostly in the Gambling section. There is no chance that "Colin" came back after 7 years to shitpost in broken English.

7788bitcoin - reg. November 2014

Almost an identical story for this account: original owner was an intelligent poster who enjoyed explaining the technical details of Bitcoin and cipher puzzles, they slowly became less knowledgeable and worse in English over time.

Here's an example of what I'm talking about.

Original owner:

Interesting challenges.

I guess it is almost impossible to crack the third one. I did some searches and math:

First wallet: About 800 4-letter names x lower/upper cases => 12k to 13k

Second wallet: About 9000 5 letter words x lower/upper cases => 250k to 300k

Third wallet: Exactly 52^6 = 19,770,609,664

The fastest cracker we have, Dirbaio, can do 20 tries/second. He will take about about 31.34 years to find! No one will commit this much energy and time to crack the wallet with only 0.1BTC, and therefore the puzzle will not be solved... unless minimalB is going to provide some hints.

New owner:

After losing the Test match, they have included Taskin Ahmed, Mustafizur Rahman and Nahid Rana for the ODI series and that is making a huge difference. Zimbabwe is struggling for 70 runs for the loss of 8 wickets, and at one point of time, I thought they would reduce Zimbabwe to under 100 runs.

Nahid Rana picked up 5 wickets, while Taskin Ahmed picked up 2. Zimbabwe reached 114 runs, thanks to a 44-run partnership for the 9th wicket.

Well, technically their English isn't that bad, but there's no way this is the original owner of the account.

Found 2 more today. Its disturbing how easily these accounts get accepted into campaigns despite being obviously purchased/hacked accounts.

Noted. Thank you for doing great job.

Moderators can check my account. You might have checked the mod logs regarding the email ID change, but it has not changed. I am using the same email ID I was using here for almost a decade. Admins can attest to that. Maybe you are from Hawaii and do not understand cricket, but that does not mean you decide where I post and how I participate here.

Do not start throwing accusations to see which one sticks, like Lauda and the others did in the past, I understand that you are trying to be the new cat, I am not responding to every thread does not mean I am not going through everything that is going on.

Definitely not the original owner, caught my eye earlier but I got too lazy to make a psot about it, went from a bookie building a betting website to special needs talk:

yes the knowledge about market will give an investor big help and if they read the market situation and understand that in which situation they can do trade and hold their investment investors will be get high profit.

----------------------------

Also, yup, you're from Hawaii, you don't understand cricket talk at all, it's all the same :

I have gone back and looked at #3 again, I think the correct answer should be EAhBp
192 (7)-1 should be h. See the pdf file again, page 192 should be the page 208 in the pdf.
The OP purposely have a capital A in "announce" and an additional h, meaning the h is behind A => EAhBp

What is it that you are trying to prove here? Anyone who follows cricket would understand what I mentioned in that thread. The level of cajolery where you have to resort to accusing someone just to prove a point is ridiculous.

I mentioned that the original nutildah is from Hawaii. Hence, he might not understand cricket. Alternatively, the current version of the user might be from Reykjavik. Either way, these are different countries, and I am not throwing accusations without any solid proof.

I have traded with users both inside and outside the forum, though the majority of them are no longer active here. I have been using the same wallet address and Telegram ID for a very long time—specifically, the same Telegram ID for at least 10 years.

@Zwei, @OmegaStarScream, @Carollzinha, @OgNasty and @JSRAW—with whom I had private conversations earlier and who are active now—could attest to this.

are you talking about this address?

bc1qncyd7h7tcvyqe4448j5huwxwxduwwgd7teenga

so as a starter, you should sign a message from it. but the thing is, the address only goes back to July 2019, and your account woke up around that time after 10 months of inactivity.

you are probably the same owner from when the account woke up the first time (assuming you can sign a message from that address).
but before that who knows? you will need to convince @stompix and @nutildah of that to remove your tag.

@Zwei ... with whom I had private conversations earlier and who are active now—could attest to this.
i don't know why you would tag me here tbh, i do not remember you or any of our interactions outside of the wolfbet campaign (which i had to look up), and that was a long time ago.
so if you were hoping that i would defend you or something like that based on that, you are wrong.

I am still using that same wallet.

Yes, I can sign a message from that address. In fact, I have been using that exact address for my current signature campaign.

Yes, it was a long time ago. I completely understand that you are unable to vouch for a communication we had eight or nine years back. Unfortunately, some of the other users I communicated with earlier have told me the exact same thing.

I am hoping to hear from Cyrus, as he is able to view the backend and verify the email address I have been using here for over a decade. I will just wait for his response then.
