Lookman was one of the players who did not get enough recognition for his hard work in the Nigerian team during the African cup of Nations, Victor Osimhen had more attention on him. It is good that he is getting some major recognition right now, although there are people who argue about how credible or correct the nominations are because there are some other players who they believed should have been there, for example, Rodrygo from Real Madrid, Julian Alvarez who now plays for Atletico Madrid also.

Is very sad to see how Lookman was not too regarded after all his performance in the supper eagles, actually he has proven to have the same worth and recognition as Osimhen because he has delivered the Nigerian team on several matches they would have lost against other countries, though the only time they normally talk highly of him is only when the supper eagles are playing and after then nothing, is only the foreign countries that understand his value and I'm  very happy that nothing has changed on his performance and with time he will have more recognition than what he has already gotten now, among the supper eagles Lookman and Osimhen is the two striker I love so much.

Scoring a hattrick in the UEFA Europa League final was one of the biggest feats Ademola Lookman have achieved in his football career and that same great accomplishment have engraved his name in the history book of European football. Again, during the CAF African Cup of Nations that was played earlier this year, Lookman also had an incredible tournament and was one of the main reasons Nigeria reached the final so I think it was very deserving for his name to be shortlisted in the nominees for Balon D'or and to be the only African player to achieve that this year makes it more interesting for the Nigerian attacker.

He had the opportunity to make history and he maximised it to the fullest. Ademola Lookman will forever be remembered in the history of the Europa competition and the club has the responsibility of erecting his statue in the stadium just as it is done for great players. The problem is that foreign players especially Africans are not given a befitting honour and respect in Europe. Victor Osimhen was the engine of the Super Eagles in the last African Cup of Nations but Lookman was the brainbox. Defenders will always focus on Osimhen, and then Lookman will become free to do wonders.

He deserved to be named in the list of Ballon d'Or because his performance has been outstanding. We all know that he would not make it to the top five but he has registered his name in the Nigerian records of great players just like past nominees like Finidi George, Daniel Amokachi, Austin Okocha, Victor Ikpeba, Sunday Oliseh and Victor Osimhen. I don't know when an African will beat the record of George Weah.

I am happy we will have to look forward to seeing this key Nigerian players who are goin to be present in this game, last time we didn't have Boniface present and some other persons blamed the loss on that so lets hope this time they will be able to make up for it than they have done in the last meet up where they lost.

This game is a must win game for Nigeria honestly. We do not need any excuses ahead of the fixture tommorow against Benin Republic. Nigerians are far better than them on paper and also when you come to look at how they shape physically. Well, this gake should have been watched live but I doubt I'd be chance to make that travel.

Having them all hundred percent fit Issa good news truthfully. I think we'll win, we just have to win, i know there is a lot happening with the team and management too, but we have very good players and on their day, we should be able to beat any African team, so i hope tomorrow is one of their good days.

Interim manager, Augustine Eguavoen will also want to show that he is capable and worthy of getting the job on a permanent basis, so he will also have to bring in his experience and get the boys ready for a good performance. I will be cheering the boys from home as i will be unable to make it to the stadium in Uyo.

No I didn't in Wednesday games and didn't focus a lot on yesterday's matches honestly. By the way If I placed a bet on them I would lose the money. I mean I would have picked Ghana to win. The number of goals scored by Burundi and Malawi is more than what I would expect. Maybe Algeria and Tunisia matches outcomes were the most expected one but I know they are fluctuating heavily and I wouldn't be surprised if they got a draw or even defeat, less likely for Algeria tho.

Here's my Morocco upset. Probably wiser to go for a small handicap, but I'm counting on the North Africans to continue the usual flattering to deceive performances. They've really not matched their World Cup heroics, I feel.

In Africa, there is extra rich or very poor and in Africa matches, the bets are either not profitable or extremely risky and at the same time good once we win.

It Amy loom like Nigeria is far better than Benin Republic but we ought to understand that sometimes the contrary thing people are expecting from this kind of match might be the result. We don't have to underestimate any team because anything can happen when it comes to sport and it is good we all wait and watch what the outcome will look like. The NFF havnt still learn from their mistakes in the past. With the present coach Nigeria has now I'm not sure if the game will be easy for Nigeria because the coach lack good formation and we have always seen it times without number in the past.

It will be better if Nigeria is able to solve this coach issues of a thing, it will help in the team in winning many games because the team already have good players.  I doubt the management' of Augustine as coach.

It is a very good result for my country's national team. We started the game well, we scored the first goal, but the goalkeeper of my country Mozambique made a mistake and thanks to this mistake Mali managed to score the equalizer. But the most important thing is that we did not leave this game with a defeat. Looking at the results of the other games in the same group of my country, we can see that there is a chance of us being able to stay in good positions.



We will need to win the next game which will be against Guinea-Bissau, if we manage to win, we will have 4 points, I doubt very much that Mali will lose in the next game which will be against eSwatini, so we would have a scenario in which if we win we would have 4 points and would be the same points as Mali, so in the next game we would play against eSwatini which we could win, while Mali would play against Guinea-Bissau and could lose points. That is why it is very important that we win in the next game.

I doubt the management' of Augustine as coach.

A very good result will be the only thing that will change the mind of many Nigerians on the coach because his abilities are still in doubts, But if he's able to deliver a convincing performance that ends in a win tomorrow against Benin Republic in front of the home crowd and then manages to take us through the qualifications to make it to the next African football competition, the NFF may think of giving him the opportunity of being the head coach again for a longer time with a contract.

There is no doubt, the super eagles of Nigeria are ready for revenge, because that first leg defeat was very painful because we Nigerian fans were very sure that we will win the game but it turned out to be the other way round and we really need to win this match to keep our hope of participating in the next year AFCON alive.

These players are ready for the match, they all listened to the criticism from fans for their last game performance, so they have to put all their effort to win this match because Nigerian now think that these players are not playing well in their national team but will kill themselves for their club sides.

I've just confirmed he is the only player nominated and listed for the Ballon d'or award same way it was for Victor Oshime last season. He had a great season and to wrap up things completely, he had a great European Europa League Competition Finals against Bayern Leverkusen and before them was also Liverpool. He ( Ademola Lookman ) single handedly won them ( Atalanta ) the finals with those beautiful three goals scored.

Nothing surprising there because he was excellent last season. He had one of the best season in his life and was outstanding against Bayern Leverkusen  that he ended their unbeaten record. I wouldn't have felt bad if he wasn't included in the list because if we're being honest, there were better players than him last season that didn't make the list. I'm thinking there must be some agreement to show love to players from Africa and fortunately, two Nigerian has being the beneficiary so far but we hope to see others claim the honour too. Finally, I hope he is not robbed off his CAF Player Of the Year Award. He deserves to be the next African best player. I don't see no other player ahead of him though, Sebastian Haller might have won the African Cup of Nations Competitions and played in the Champions League Competition finals but he doesn't merit it.

I was about mentioning his name in your last update about this discussion because I feel he deserved that more than getting nominated in the ballon d'or conversation. He should be our African best player because he was actually that last season. He mightn't have won the cup but he outperform everyone scoring lots of goals for Nigeria and taking us to the finals.

Onless the supper eagles decided to messed up if not they have a very good chance in winning Benin team tomorrow because they are in a good shape now than before because the reason why Benin won them was during the time they were having some issues but hopefully they should should stand a chance to correct there mistakes this time around, so we should expect a serious retaliation from the supper eagles on the match.

The last time the Super Eagles of Nigeria against their Beninoise counterparts, they were stunned but I don't think that'll happen again this weekend. Nigeria currently have their full squad to choose from and I think they'll definitely get all three points against Benin. Ademola Lookman who happens to be the only African to be named in the 30-man list of this year's Balon D'or nominees is among the star players that are likely to start the game against Benin at the Godswill Akpabio stadium on Saturday. We have always had all it takes to defeat any African country and even dominate the football space in Africa. Our problem remains the coach, and I don't think our problem is solved yet. I'm hoping to see if the solution that the NFF has put forward is permanent because the abilities of our coach are still in doubt. Personally, I still will not bet on the super eagles; they remain very unreliable.

Also, Victor Boniface is one player I have been waiting to watch him play alongside Lookman. Am confidence with the player right now in the team.

Maybe Boniface should be given the opportunity to start and not come in as a sub. If he scores, I feel Osimhen will be motivated to score his own goal when he comes on to secure his place in the first team and not lose it to Boniface.

In the recent AFCON event, Nigeria really played impressively during the group stage tournaments leading to the success of qualification in their group stage matches. Then much confidence were vested on the Nigerian fans believing that they were going to come first position at the final match against Ivory Coast but then,  Nigerian players took fans on shock at the final event as they were playing unseriously like the were on a friendly match. Honestly there was much disappoinments front eh players probably they thought the Ivory Coast were an underdog but took everyone on surprise that they were unable to beat Ivory Coast.
