Bank are one of the busiest workplace and they have targets to achieve. They are ruthless in not letting the workers have spare time.
Another reason could be the gambling aspect. The bank is a sector where you could easily fraud and get some huge amount of quick cash. You'll get caught quick to but for a gambling addict, they don't see the bad aspect. I've seen people gamble the organization money in order to win big, a huge money means a larger bankroll and if they won and don't get caught, they could easily make it look like nothing happen but if they lose, that's the downfall. I said before that this mistake was not caused by gambling but by an employer's playing at the wrong time. The company should have a department that supervises workers and nurtures them if there are problems like this happen again, don't get fired right away before the issue is clear so that the situation can not make a one-sided disadvantage. A problem like this will occur happen on the next time if the company doesn't have a specific rule on how to work in that office because gambling sites around the world have been played very often by workers during working hours.

We don't know if this organisation already have it rule but the gambler didn't stick to it. Yes, threats can happen because their employees will eventually need money to keep playing when they lose.

That is why we don't have to risks our job by playing gambling at office. We have a time to playing gambling when we are at home so we don't disturb anything and we can enjoy our time to playing gambling. At least, we can place our position in the office and leave the pleasure behinds us because we are busy with our work.
