I don't see any other strategy that comes close to DCA…. talking about an easy and consistent way of accumulating Bitcoin. It works for folks with different type of income (regular or irregular, beginner or not), because the amount can be adjusted to what the person can comfortably afford. Being rich or poor does not remove benefits of one having a consistent plan.
You are right dude, The best part of it is that it turns investment in bitcoin into something you can comfortable with. because it make the whole process easy for investors to invest in bitcoin. there is no need for you to keep waiting for any perfect time to begin buying bitcoin into. with use of DCA you can just fixed any kind of amount you think you can comfortable afford in regular basis. And using DCA to accumulate bitcoin is not only for specific persons. it can work for anyone whether rich or poor, salary earners or business owners, they can invest weekly or monthly while people with irregular income can adjust their own when funds available for them. It not necessary mean you must have enough money before buying bitcoin, with your plan that match your income and stay consistent.

You are right, having an emergency fund can help someone to maintain DCA for years. And that is why it's best for people to have everything set up before adopting this strategy because that will allow them to continue their DCA journey without any pressure or interruption, because their emergency funds can support them with their basic needs. Although the emergency fund might not be enough, which people still need to engage in other activities or businesses that will be used as their emergency expenses.
You don't have to have everything set out in place before starting you bitcoin investment because that may delay you accumulate and in most cases you might not even start at all, so it's more better to put your emergency funds in place alongside your Bitcoin accumulation, that way it would be a lot easier and encouraging, than waiting to first put down you emergency funds first, which might take a very long time to accomplish , and may derail your zeal to invest, so starting your Bitcoin investment right away and be putting down your back up funds alongside it is the best. It’s not necessary to have an emergency fund before you start to invest in Bitcoin. The most important thing you need to invest is having your discretionary income. Setting aside amount you can afford to lose after you solve other financial problems. You can set up your emergency fund along the way while investing. Waiting to have the emergency funds may seem like a waste of time, as long as you believe you can set tup while investing, then you are good to go. The problem with some people is that they believe they can outsmart to market, waiting a little bit more to see if the market is going to fall before they can invest. You may feel that you have more time to think, but time does not always wait for anyone. We saw what happened in the market some weeks ago, the price increased from $68k to above $80k and then dropped below $80k. We don’t know what the next steps will look like.

I don't completely agree with you because both an emergency fund and discretionary income are very important in the lives of an investor, as the two play a crucial role in their lives. If you depend only on discretionary income, that means your accumulation plan is incomplete, as there should be an emergency fund just in case an emergency occur, as nobody knows when one will occur. Anyway, it depends on individuals, as they best know how to keep investing without stopping halfway even if an emergency hits.

He didn't say that having an emergency funds as a long-term bitcoin investor isn't important. The problem is when you are a no coiner and start building your emergency funds first before your bitcoin investment because that is a time killer and a dream killer when it comes to bitcoin investment. Any brand new investor who doesn't have any form of backup funds on ground can start his bitcoin investment immediately, provided he has his discretionary income available. All he need to do is to share his discretionary income into three equal parts. The first 1/3 for his buying bitcoin regularly every week with DCA. The second 1/3 for building his emergency funds of at least three months of his monthly expenses and the last 1/3 for his discretionary consumption.

But you know that there are some lots that don't have much income during the time they start to buy bitcoin and if it is like that, the person can start with to figure their discretionary and start with whatever they can afforded to use. Then along the way the person can work on also figuring out how to save emergency money as the person income improve. Imo it is better to figure discretionary and start than to be waiting to fully build your emergency funds. But if the person can afford to figure their discretionary and also save emergency at the same time, then the person do so. But if they can't, then they can figure their discretionary income and use it to ongoing invest. Starting is always what is important.

The goal of having an emergency funds is strictly to serve for an emergency purposes and if it’s been used up for what is not an emergency then it doesn’t align with the goal or purpose of an emergency funds. Using funds kept purposely for emergency situations to invest in a risky and volatile asset like bitcoin simply because we feel is not useful at the moment could prove ineffective because by the time we need the funds back the value might dropped as a result of bitcoin high volatility. Whether an emergency funds is going to be useful at the moment or not I think it’s just better we use it rightly so that whenever it’s being needed it can be easily accessible.

know that Emergency funds that's not useful at the moment it arrives can be use to achieve another goal if it's use properly for its investment.
Even if a person has not used his emergency savings at some point… It does not mean it should be put into something else. The point of keeping emergency fund is to have money available and accessible when unexpected expenses comes up, that can come at anytime. Using it for what it’s not meant for can create a big problem for you, because it will leave you exposed without a protection and you’d have to sell when you eventually need cash.

It is never a good idea to invest in an emergency fund. If a person invests in his emergency fund, he may be forced to sell his holdings at some point and if the market falls and the price of Bitcoin is below your purchase price, then you will have to sell your holdings at a loss. It is a good idea to keep your emergency fund as close to hand as possible. It is never a good idea to keep it in a place where you cannot find your emergency fund in case of an emergency. There are many ways to protect your emergency fund from inflation, but it is never a good idea to keep it in a place where your emergency fund is at risk and you cannot easily convert it into cash. Keeping your emergency fund in cash at all times is the best idea.

Keeping your emergency fund in cash at all times is the best idea. It is practical to keep emergency funds separate from investment capital. Emergency funds provide financial security during urgent situations. whereas investments serve a different purpose. If funds intended for emergencies are invested in Bitcoin one might be forced to sell the asset at a low price due to a sudden need for cash potentially resulting in a loss. Emergency funds should be kept in a manner that allows for quick. and reliable access when needed. such as in a secure bank account or another easily accessible facility. The functions of emergency funds and investments differ. investments aim to grow wealth over the long term. Therefore setting aside money for emergencies before investing in Bitcoin reduces the likelihood of having to sell the investment at an inopportune time.

If I am you I would be careful that word "Emergency funds that's not useful at the moment" if a percentage of your discretionary income is reserved for emergency it should remain available when needed and not used for any investment, because an emergency fund is not an idle fund but serve as a financial protection for your investment. It is money you use when there is an emergency that requires urgent funds, to protect one investment it is not ideal to use the money that may be needed in in an emergency because money that is needed in such situations should not be exposed to investment risk.

If we get away from the classification "emergency funds," then we might come to realize that emergency funds is merely one type of back up funds, and then other type of back up funds are reserve funds. Many folks seem to classify all of their back up funds as emergency funds, which then contributes towards their not distinguishing between which of their funds is more flexible than others, and surely if someone is brand new to bitcoin investing, they might start out with a practice of having hardly any back up funds, and they might only keep less than 2 weeks of their expenses, while other non-bitcoiners might be more precautionary and tend to keep 4-6 weeks or more of their expenses as back up funds. Anyone investing into bitcoin likely needs to figure out ways to increase their back up funds beyond their previous practices, since anyone truly investing into bitcoin in a serious way that involves a timeline of 4-10 years or more, then in order to protect their bitcoin investment, they need to avoid tapping into their bitcoin at any time that is not of their choosing, otherwise they will end up fucking up what they had thought was going to be 4-10 year or more investment timeline...so many times beginner investors might be investing into bitcoin and building up their back up funds at the same time, yet when they are a beginner investor, they might not be clear about which portions of their back up funds is emergency funds and which portions is reserve funds. Emergency funds would be an amount that does not get tapped into no matter what, unless there is an actual shortage of income and/or increase in basic expenses. Reserve funds have more flexibility, yet if all the reserve funds end up getting used up, then all that is left is emergency funds, and if the emergency funds get used up then the investor has no choice but to tap into their bitcoin and perhaps at a time that is not of their own choosing. If a person had created a goal of investing 4-10 years or longer into bitcoin then tapping into the bitcoin at any time prior to their timeline would be screwing up their investment into bitcoin. So, yeah, guys have to try to figure out how seriously they are about investing and building their bitcoin investment, and another thing about bitcoin it can be quite volatile to both the upside and to the downside, so guys might end up selling too much bitcoin too soon based on their holdings being in profits, and then later having regrets because they were not able to reaccumulate the amount of BTC that they had sold and they also had not been accumulating bitcoin when they should have had been accumulating bitcoin. Each person has to figure out how to treat their bitcoin holdings and how much back up funds they need to build up so that they do not have to tap into bitcoin at a time that is not of their own choosing, especially if they are serious about investing into bitcoin for 4-10 years or longer.

1) Self-Custody is a right. Resist being labelled as: "non-custodial" or "un-hosted." 2) ESG, KYC & AML are attack-vectors on Bitcoin to be avoided or minimized. 3) How much alt (shit)coin diversification is necessary? if you are into Bitcoin, then 0%......if you cannot control your gambling, then perhaps limit your alt(shit)coin exposure to less than 10% of your bitcoin size...Put BTC here: bc1q49wt0ddnj07wzzp6z7affw9ven7fztyhevqu9k

That is why I say that it is a good idea for a person to divide his safety net into several parts. Such as emergency fund, reserve fund and other funds. If we divide our safety net into three layers, then we will definitely be able to deal with small and big dangers very easily and we will be able to identify which fund we will use in the midst of any emergency crisis. For example, we need to consider our emergency fund as the first layer of protection and we can consider the reserve fund as the second layer and we can consider other funds as our third layer. If ever a small crisis occurs, such as we need a little money to buy medicine, then we can use other funds and if our third and second funds run out while dealing with the crisis, then we can definitely use the emergency fund at that time. If we divide our safety net in this way, then it can be said that we will definitely be able to deal with all the small and big crises very easily. But yes, we don't need to keep the same amount of money in each fund. Rather, we can keep 3 months of expenses or income in our emergency fund, and we can keep less money in the reserve fund than the emergency fund, and we can keep less money in other funds than the reserve fund.

It’s not necessary to have an emergency fund before you start to invest in Bitcoin. The most important thing you need to invest is having your discretionary income. I will agree with you here...but know that Emergency funds that's not useful at the moment it arrives can be use to achieve another goal if it's use properly for its investment....but the most important thing is to invest what we can afford to lose..which using a discretionary income to invest, it serves as you're investing what you can afford losing....But at this time most of us who has been into bitcoin investment should have no all this things...because this kind of discussion has been discussed severally in this community....I think it's not a new thing for us again... The purpose of an emergency fund is not to make a profit, but to give us the freedom to make decisions in difficult situations or to protect ourselves from being forced to sell. In real life, there may be expenses that we are not prepared for. If we do not have an emergency fund at that time, we have no choice but to sell. Especially often, emergency situations come during bad market times. Then, if someone does not have an emergency fund, they may be forced to sell Bitcoin at a low price. That is why emergency funds and investable money are two different things. Keeping an emergency fund in cash does not mean that it is preventing us from making a profit.

You cannot tell when an emergency fund will be useful; it is a fund that is needed when there is an emergency. Investing with an emergency fund also means risking your investment, and not having any emergency at the moment doesn't mean the fund is not yet useful. Let the emergency fund be kept for emergencies, and let discretionary income be invested into Bitcoin. Normally, it is not a must to have an emergency fund as one starts investing in Bitcoin, but it is good to have a plan for an emergency fund as the investment continues, and let it serve its purpose and not the purpose of accumulating Bitcoin. I believe there is ethics to investing, and it is important that things should be done the right way. One should not think to be too smart; being too smart might backfire, and if one is not prepared for the unknown, it can affect the investment badly.

If emergency funds are used by Bitcoin investor for emergency it right after all that is what it is created for, but anything aside that is not acceptable, as it deviates from the original purpose. The name emergency funds should have a meaning it ring to us, so are we supposed to use such funds for any other thing apart from it's purpose? nah nah, there is no goal to achieve with emergency funds except for emergency needs, let's not get confused on this, as per what to invest with, what you said is exactly the funds that should be used, but as for your view or will I call it suggestion as it has to with emergency funds, I disagree with you specifically on that.

The name 'emergency fund' itself has a brief description of its use, yet why are some people still confused about the use of emergency funds? I don't understand it. Some new users may make mistakes or get confused about the use of emergency funds, but it shouldn't happen again and again. Emergency funds are to be used only in emergencies, now some people may get confused about the emergency moment or situation, this is normal. Because you have to determine whether your situation is an emergency moment or not. It is not that the beginning of an accident or any need is an emergency moment, when you have no other funds except the emergency fund and you need money, then you can consider that emergency moment as the right time to use the emergency fund. Remember, the emergency fund should be your last resort, not the first. Individual moments may also differ or there may be different reasons for using the emergency fund. Basically, you need to use your own knowledge to determine when is the right time to use your emergency fund and when is the wrong time.

You cannot outsmart the market and investors shouldn't pay much attention to price movement, instead, they should focus more on their consistency and dedication in buying bitcoin whenever discretionary income is available. Your focus matters a lot, if you focus a lot in the markets and allow its movements to prompt your actions and decisions, then you are bound to be gambling with the price and that's trading and not investing. Waiting a little more is a trader approach, inaction towards starting your investment journey can lead to indecision whereby an investor wouldn't be able to convince himself enough that the prices are low enough to start buying. They may keep waiting endlessly and never invest. This is why focusing on the price movement before taking action to start buying is never a good option. As long as you've discretionary income available and you know how to buy, it is time to take action and start buying and holding bitcoin, whatever the future price of bitcoin would be is not your major priority, you should prioritize dedication and consistency in your DCA buys and building out backup funds like emergency fund alongside buying bitcoin to protect your portfolio.
