Sure a rich person might have options to just lump sum into bitcoin and/or even to frontload their investment into bitcoin, yet they still might choose to buy bitcoin in increments from their income as it comes in rather than going through some process to allocate a bunch of money into bitcoin at once.
For sure there can be a convenience factor to DCA rather than to lump sum, yet the rich person has options, and the poor person might rarely have options to lump sum unless he happens to get a bonus at work or some kind of an irregular event causes him to have extra money that he had not expected.
DCA gives us abilities to adapt our bitcoin buys to our cashflow situation, yet we are not trying to buy bitcoin at a higher price, since we probably would prefer to buy on the dip - however, there is no way to know if a dip is going to come or not, so there might not be much if any value to hold back money for buying dips that might not happen, even though it is likely that the rich person would be able to do that because the rich person has resources.
I think wealthy people still choose a gradual approach to investing because they also have responsibilities. Even though they have easy access to existing facilities, they won't do it haphazardly. They also know that carelessness can lead to significant losses. Therefore, they still choose to invest in stages even if they have sufficient funds to invest in Bitcoin. It's true that DCA offers convenience, but everyone has their own principles especially when it comes to money. They're certainly more cautious with every expense, reasoning that nothing is accidental whether they're poor or wealthy. Everyone wants a bonus, but many poor people have overly high expectations. This is due to the desire for extra money. It's perfectly natural for them to hope for a bonus as an additional benefit for those who are poor. This DCA makes it very easy for parties to make purchases, because each person's income is different, so when parties who are less in terms of income can still make purchases even in small amounts, especially since there are no rules where this DCA is only aimed at parties who have a lot of income or money, so this DCA is one strategy that is very helpful and makes it easier for anyone who wants to buy Bitcoin.

No argument but I want to say that DCA strategy is used by two set of people, low capital investors and low risk takers investor. An investor has to fall within one of the categories to use DCA as his primary strategy to accumulate bitcoin.
With high capital, using DCA will slow accumulation. The goal of every investor is to reach the point of reasonable accumulation. By holding a huge amount of capital, it doesn't make sense to invest little weekly, unless the investor decides to take less risk, which puts the investor under the second category of less risk takers.
I would love you to explain how investing with high capital will slow accumulation? Honestly this sounds strange, I guess you mean high amount because you dont need capital fir bitcoin investment. Investing with high amount or low amount doesn't matter, and amy amount can be use to accumulate bitcoin provided it is the amount that you can afford to lose. If you can afford to buy Bitcoin with a high amount it is even an advantage for the accumulation of Bitcoin. The essence of DCA strategy is to accumulate bitcoin and it doesn’t mean if it is high or low provided it is an amount that you can afford to lose. After reviewing the conversation and the entire discussion between you and other members, It’s not just strange the way it’s presented is actually misleading. I tend to agree with you investing is more about using funds that you are prepared to risk in order to acquire an asset whose price fluctuates over time. And in this regard, there is no specific amount for purchasing Bitcoin; it ultimately depends on the individual's own income and how much they wish to invest in Bitcoin. if that person can be categorized as having a quite good or substantial financial situation which they do not make use of, There is nothing wrong with that person buying bitcoin in that amount it does not slow down accumulation. Both the lump sum and DCA techniques have their own respective advantages; neither approach can be dismissed as wrong. Ultimately, the most critical factor in any investment endeavor is discipline or consistency.

The most important thing about the DCA strategy is that it is a great strategy to consistently create Bitcoin investments by completely isolating market volatility and not letting it affect the investment.
You seem to be dressing up a fairly simple idea with lots of exaggerated claims about DCA, and this makes me question whether you really have an inkling of what you’re saying or you’re just making up BS. First of all, DCA is not gonna isolate market volatility for you, and if you think otherwise then I don’t know what to tell you buddy. It has been emphasized many times on this forum that DCA is a strategy that can help you to spread your purchases across different price points based on your financial circumstances at the time but it sure as hell won’t shield your investment from volatility or reduce the percentage drawdown of the Bitcoin you’ve already accumulated. If Bitcoin drops by 70%, your portfolio is automatically still exposed to that 70% decline, regardless of whether you bought it through DCA or made a lump sum purchase. The DCA strategy is equally suitable for everyone, anyone can manage their investment through this strategy with any amount. It is basically a method of maintaining investment discipline, when investing through this strategy, the investor should not worry unnecessarily about market volatility, and maintain mature stability towards their long-term goals. I think that in order to be suitable for investing properly through this strategy, one must first keep one's mentality right, because if you do not have a mentality to hold on for the long term, then you will definitely not be able to maintain the investment. And the DCA strategy can never give you anything good in the short term, and therefore one must first ensure that one maintains one's long-term stability.
Holding through a prolonged bear markets is a different challenge that the investor will still have to deal with even though they might have been DCAing consistently, so DCA is not automatically gonna instill that discipline to hold for a prolonged time into a person if he or she doesn’t have it in the first place, get that straight buddy. DCA is a strategy, long term holding is an investment approach, they are not the same but far too often most people often confuse them for each other and you’re a prime example of those people who think that DCA guarantees you profitability cos you did it for the long term, that’s not how it works. Your eventual returns will still depend on how the Bitcoin market performs, your average acquisition price and the time you eventually decide to sell. So having a long term mindset is not magically gonna turn an unprofitable investment into a profitable one. Stop romanticizing DCA as if it is some type of complete investment philosophy that solves volatility, discipline, emotional management and investment suitability all in one go, don’t mislead people.

Maybe it may look easy at first glance, just like the same on buying high then sell low. But challenges along the way, makes everything so hard. That's why I agree with you that they should stop romanticizing DCA, since that one could possibly give them wrong conclusion about best approach to do with their bought Bitcoins. DCA is nice strategy to use, so best to learn its real use so they could do better approach with their long term investment.

Even though the DCA strategy does not automatically imply discipline to hold for a long term, it contributes to that in the sense that when you are ongoingly focusing on your DCA strategy and aiming to buy bitcoin often, you also get distracted from selling which I may informally refer to as indirect discipline to hold. So yes, if you are able to maintain your DCA strategy, you will perhaps, be able to maintain a long-term investment. DCA is a strategy, long term holding is an investment approach, they are not the same but far too often most people often confuse them for each other and you’re a prime example of those people who think that DCA guarantees you profitability cos you did it for the long term, that’s not how it works. What do you describe as an unprofitable investment or profitable investment? An investors duty is to accumulate as much bitcoin as possible as long as you are doing it with the money you can afford to lose. Referring any investment as unprofitable means the investor has sold his bitcoin to conclude that it is unprofitable. Also watching the chart to sell when you will sell at profit is not a good attribute of a good investor. Stop romanticizing DCA as if it is some type of complete investment philosophy that solves volatility, discipline, emotional management and investment suitability all in one go, don’t mislead people.
Very correct, no investment strategy takes away volatility but the DCA strategy only allows an investor to buy at all prices instead of waiting for a dip or timing the market. Profit comes naturally perhaps in a long term but fixing your mind on profit is not the right thing to do.

No doubt that DCA is just an accumulation strategy and long term is how to invest into bitcoin but they are connected to each other since going on a long term bitcoin investment goes with DCA accumulation strategy because you can always buy weekly/monthly regularly overtime to see the results in your long term investment. If you're consistent with your DCA, it will discipline you to always buy bitcoin whenever, your discretionary income is available and before you know it, it becomes a habit to you. Provided that you are consistent with your DCA for 4-10 years above, the size of your bitcoin will increase and you will be in profit even though, I know that profit isn't guaranteed because from history of bitcoin, it creates a new ATH in every new circle because the price of bitcoin increases overtime and the odd of bitcoin price going uptrend is higher down going downtrend. I don't get how will an investor with a long term investment mindset that build and holdi his bitcoin portfolio for ten years become unpredictable if the price of bitcoin didn't go against him. Let's stop talking as if we are discouraging brand new investors not to use DCA strategy to accumulate bitcoin or not to be on a long term investment plan because I don't see how bitcoin long term investment is an unprofitable one when bitcoin isn't shitcoins.

I totally agree with your statement on this matter, because one of the advantages of DCA is that it helps you to eliminate or reduce the risk of succumbing to the pressure of trying to predict the perfect time to invest or to enter the market but with this strategy, you can have a consistent habit by investing an amount of money at regular intervals instead of allowing the fluctuations of prices to determine your investment decisions.

This is what happens if a poor investor builds confidence in Bitcoin and regularly runs DCA. There are many poor people who have very little extra funds left at the end of the week and use those funds to build future wealth (BTC). They accumulate Bitcoin as they might have accumulated fiat in the past. It is important to accumulate Bitcoin regularly and have a backup fund available for emergencies and keeping cash flow because the extra financial capacity will help build a safe and long term Bitcoin holding. A wealthy investor can build a Bitcoin holding in any way they want because they have multiple sources of income and can safely build a Bitcoin holding year after year without the need to withdraw.

No doubt that DCA is just an accumulation strategy and long term is how to invest into bitcoin but they are connected to each other since going on a long term bitcoin investment goes with DCA accumulation strategy because you can always buy weekly/monthly regularly overtime to see the results in your long term investment. The real purpose of investment is fulfilled by combining DCA and long-term investment. Basically, VCA is an effective investment strategy and long-term investment turns this effective strategy into reality. In the DCA investment strategy, an investor can plan his investment by considering his position and can make decisions based on his income, expenses and discretionary income and he can continue for a long time considering his position. Many people may have the desire to invest but they do not have enough money, but they can fulfill their investment dream by following the DCA strategy. I think the work of the wise is always to keep buying little by little according to their ability, by doing this, at some point you will see that the amount of investment is becoming much higher and it is certainly much better than waiting and not investing.
Most of us investors may think that DCA investment means only making weekly or monthly purchases, but I think that what is more important is to build a sustainable financial situation. You will continue to invest continuously, but while continuing this investment, you must keep in mind whether it is having any bad effect on your daily life or whether you are failing to meet your needs. If you fail to meet your needs, then you will have to make some changes in the plan and continue it because it is not possible to continue investing for a long time when you consider the financial profession. I think as an investor, the investor should first make sure that his income is what he is earning and how much he is spending, as well as whether he has sufficient backup funds for investing. Keeping these things in mind, the investor can easily start investing with a reliable part of his discretionary income and maintain it consistently. I think that a sustainable financial system will be developed by combining all of these.
We can consider two things at the same time when investing in Bitcoin, firstly, our intention will be that we will invest in a long-term plan and continue to accumulate investments continuously for a long period, especially if our plan has an accumulation of four to ten years, then it is better. Because in the past, we have seen that many people have been successful by holding investments for a long time. And yes, I have asked to consider two different things at the same time when investing in Bitcoin, the first thing I have mentioned and the second thing is that we can consider investing in Bitcoin as a long-term savings. Currently, banks cannot be trusted, so if we continuously buy Bitcoin with the money we used to keep in the bank as savings, then in the same way, we will not have any fear about inflation here, but we will have expectations of something good from here in the future.

Stop sounding so sure about how you think a wealthy guy will choose to accumulate Bitcoin. Just like JJG said, rich guys are opportuned with so many options to choose how to buy bitcoin, compared to a poor investor who will likely just stick to only DCAing small amounts, even though he might want to be flexible too but his financial situation may not allow. But a rich guy can choose his level of aggressiveness when buying, or deploy different strategies.

First of all, DCA is not gonna isolate market volatility for you,
DCA is a strategy, long term holding is an investment approach,
This what so many do over look. DCA is not in charge to or protect your portfolio from market crashes. If they be a change that Bitcoin drops 70% this also affect your already bought coin it will still drop also. DCA if there to protect you from bad timing risk. DCA helps you to protect you from throwing 100% of your own capital in at the exact top out of FOMO. DCA helps in source that it turns your buying into a routine process tied directly to your cashflow instead of trying to guess the bottom. DCA is not a magic shield 🛡️ against market drops but it goes a long way to take away that stress of trying to time the market out for you.
