I do preach about Bitcoin and it's usage to friends and family but I don't take their money for investment, I did that before but it's almost ruined my career and I stopped doing that. I only advise them to do it on their own while I direct them the process so they keep watching their assets in their wallet created.

It's good introducing crypto to friends and even strangers because it keeps you unique among others, makes you sit among kings and queens for consultation, in my country, such preacher are taken serious and treated well.
When comes to introducing bitcoin to people, I think it should not be more than this by telling people the amount of money they need to invest, suggesting the amount of money people should invest in bitcoin has always turn into problems because this people that a new to bitcoin they are not even familiar with the volatility of the market.

It is just better to introduce the basic understanding of bitcoin to people and clearly let them know the market is volatile and for them to do their own research to get better understanding. When it comes to bitcoin investment,  it is important to let those who were introduced to bitcoin to make their own decision on what they can afford to invest in bitcoin.  One really needs to be careful about people's investments in bitcoin because if things go wrong they will surely  be hold responsible for the lose of money.

As many people don't aware of bitcoin and other crypto, do you take initiative to explain about bitcoin to others? I am spreading information and knowledge about btc to others, advantages of btc. I have observed some people showing interest or heared about btc some where. Let's spread the btc world to others, cheers.
I’ve done this before when bitcoin was not that popular and totally hyped. Just to lessen the confusion to some of my friends, I give them clear details about bitcoin so that they will understand it easily without giving them a headache.

However, I don’t convince them to invest, that’s the last thing I would do. And I don’t want to be responsible of their future losses, so as much as possible I don’t encourage them to do that. I know they’ll invest on their own once they’ve seen the potentials of bitcoin, and not because I am here giving them a back up because they could be dependent on me throughout their investment process, and that’s something I don’t want to happen.

In the past, not many people around the world knew about Bitcoin, but in the current context, this currency has become so popular that people from different countries around the world have started investing in this currency. Bitcoin has become a global issue in this year's US presidential election and Donald Trump's positive attitude has had an important impact on this election that people around the world have realized. Although this currency has spread worldwide in popularity but in my country till now there is ban on this currency and till now people are not much aware about this current. So it is not safe to discuss this currency in public in this situation. So in my country we cannot discuss this currency with any friends as it is dangerous to share it between two or more people.

That's just exactly what I'm trying to say, of course I strongly believe that most countries are not aware of this crypto currency named bitcoin" and there are also some countries were crypto investment is been banned I think mexico is one of those countries or should I say maybe the person have not heard about crypto investment. because I remembered telling my friend who's in mexico about crypto investment and he told me he have no idea about crypto investment that they don't accept such thing in their country so I just decided to let it go, and with the way he sounded it was asive I'm trying to introduced him to a scam project so when I noticed this feeling about him then I decided to change the conversation because I knew he won't pick interest in it even when I told him about it.

In the past yes, I tried introducing Bitcoin to a few of my friends but I lost interest along the line when I discovered that many of them are only focused on the profits they stand to make from Bitcoin and that make them view bitcoin as a get rich quick scheme, and having such mentality of get rich quick towards bitcoin will always hinder one from learning the real essence and fundamentals in bitcoin.

When many are they center focus, I have to give up and allow them to wallow in the gambling state of mind jumping from one altcoins/coins to another, all with an attempt to make quick money whereas, the main Important aspect of knowledge in cryptocurrency like security of assets and wallet management couple with freedom in bitcoin decentralized
The network is left aside to them is all about the money.

When I realized this, I had to let them be and stop wasting my time trying to teach them anything.

These days it's hard to find anyone who haven't heard about Bitcoin. People are aware that its prise is growing up, however, there is a thing that keeps most of them away from becoming a Bitcoin owner. It is its price.
How does the price keep people away from becoming bitcoiners, if you take a closer look at bitcoins course of development, you will understand that even at $100k, BTC can still be considered to be 'cheap', based on what it could be in the near future. However, people do not have to buy one BTC, they can buy in smaller sums and gradually grow their bags.

Only those who spend time learning about bitcoin will realize that bitcoin is still cheap compared to its potential, but those who have just heard about it and seen its price will be very hesitant, and that is also the barrier that makes many people not interested in bitcoin. So we should actively educate and explain about bitcoin to everyone. I support OP's idea, rather than staying silent and thinking it will affect our privacy.

Take note that BTC is also a currency, a decentralized and censorship resistant one, so that is another attraction to use it.
In theory yes, but bitcoin is so volatile that using it as a currency has never been a big concern for people.

We often refer to bitcoin as a currency, a decentralized currency, but in reality, do any of us regularly use it as a currency? I don't think many people do that.

I try to explain bitcoin whenever someone shows interest focusing on its decentralized nature and how it allows financial freedom. I think it's crucial to clarify that while btc offers great opportunities it also requires understanding that risks involved like volatility and security. Educating others responsibly is key.

If the people are interested, - glad you are doing a good job at it.
Speaking of - what would you say to your friends if they asked about the potential of other coins, other than Bitcoin (they saw the PNL on some memes or alts, for example Grin)

Yes I often explain bitcoin to those who are new to it. I usually start with how it works, its use as digital money, and the potential for borderless transactions. I encourage people to do their own research before investing to avoid misinformation

Great of you to do so.
How much of the people did listen to you eventually and how many were still discouraged?

Allow me to answer that - majority use Bitcoin or other cryptocurrency only as a speculative asset. People seems not to care about decentralization, anonymity, transparency of transaction. If I start explaining or introducing such features of Bitcoin, a person will stop listening to me or follow my though in a minute. All what people want to hear is "what to buy and when it will cost 10 times more". Many even are dont pay attention what they are buying, they look only at "green +%" and dont even remember the name of altcoin, not even speaking about project name and altcoins use cases.

I like the term Bitcoin-missionary being thrown around in the thread, mind yourself that you will face the same opposition that Christian missionaries faced back in their times. They will not believe you, they will oppose you and try to sabotage you - this is human nature when it comes to learning or adopting something new.

You dont want to end up as the tinfoil hat guy in your locality and hence I would always keep my knowledge secret unless someone wants to learn about it. The impetus to learn should come from the common people otherwise the opposition happens.

Probably not, most of the time I would really like to make the first move at all, I'll probably explain to some of my friends if they ask me something about it but not really going to teach them or approach them just to tell them something about Bitcoin or flex some of my earnings in investing. Not really going to the point of hard selling Bitcoin or cryptocurrency since there was no point, and the fact that investing in cryptocurrency is risky should be enough not to encourage anyone to invest because it is going to be a huge responsibility for you in case.

There will be cases if they are the ones that actually want to invest in Bitcoin or cryptocurrency, but I always tell them and advise them that if they really want to invest in cryptocurrency they should be the ones that is going to do the investing, it would take a lot of time doing research and learning, etc. If they are not willing to do that, I would easily tell them not to do it, most of the time I discourage them because it's a very risky market, if they still want to continue that time I would probably provide them with some advice or tips on how they are going to do it.

I mean it might probably help but Bitcoin is gonna spread around the world even if you dont do anything, there was no actual need to market Bitcoin because its utility is doing its job.

Seems right.
Only those who are willing to learn should know what you think for real about BTC.
Nothing wrong with keeping the knowledge for yourself, especially if a person is ignorant.

It seems like I don't remember that I told my acquaintance that they bought bitcoin, as long as I always mentioned that they always do their own research, because of course they are better off finding their own attitude.

I actually discover them because they don't want to blame me when they lose or lose its price in the crypto industry market
We as friends should only provide basic or basic knowledge regarding the knowledge of investing in crypto and the risks which are very volatile or fluctuating. The rest goes back to the person, we have to emphasize to our friend that before investing, it would be a good idea to study first, if you want to invest in the crypto industry. At least we have to match the directions from our friends and from our own learning. With an approach like this, we as friends help our own friends to become more independent and responsible in their investment decisions, so that there are no misunderstandings or blaming each other if prices experience an insignificant decline and we as friends continue to provide support to them in receive the information they need.

A friend in question should be more interested in learning Bitcoin than our desire to get him into it.
In that way, everything should be going fine and dandy.

Way back before when I was just new in crypto I tried to tell or talk to ny friends and family about it, to try and get them into it, but only few of them got interested and stayed.
Nowadays whenever someone finds out that I am earning in crypto and ask about it, I would just tell them that I am trading and if they continue to ask I would just say buy low sell high, I don't pursued them to get into crypto like how I used to before.

Bitcoin is already very popular if you ask me, I can bet that 99 percent of people who live in up town cities in all the countries around the world have atleast, heard about bitcoin, while some are already into it.

Only places where I think the knowledge of bitcoin haven't reached is in the villages, most especially, in remote areas where technology is yet to break into, but it's all a matter of time though, this places will develop and they will see the light as well.

As for telling people about bitcoin though, well, this days, I don't really tell people about bitcoin anymore, rather they themselves come to me to ask if I know anything about bitcoin and cryptocurrencies, I say yes, and they request for explanation on what it is and how it works, I explain the little I can and then give them links to read up and learn by themself, also I recommend some YouTube videos to them and that it.

A lot of things have happened to some people that showed love to help their friendsto have the knowledge of  bitcoin and cryptocurrency to develop in bitcoin and cryptocurrency investment, but something bad happened that make his friends he thought about bitcoin and cryptocurrency to gage up against him and killed the guy, hoping they can have way to his wallets and bitcoins, but their plan failed as they planned , and they were later arrested by police men and charge to court for the news to spread all over the country for people to learn from the lesson, I  have vow not to introduce bitcoin and cryptocurrency to friends again, but if any of my family members develop interest in bitcoin and cryptocurrency, I will definitely teach them bitcoin and cryptocurrency for them to have the knowledge.

Bitcoin is no longer strange to our world, those who regularly use the internet and smartphones must have heard of it at least a few times. It is true that many people have heard about it but I don't think many of them have a basic understanding of bitcoin. So spreading the right information and knowledge is really necessary and something we should do if we can.

I also encourage people to learn about bitcoin on youtube because I think it will make it easier for them to visualize and understand, and I also don't mind sharing what I know if they ask me. But in the end, I just share knowledge, whether to invest or not is up to them, I don't want to interfere.

As many people don't aware of bitcoin and other crypto, do you take initiative to explain about bitcoin to others? I am spreading information and knowledge about btc to others, advantages of btc. I have observed some people showing interest or heared about btc some where. Let's spread the btc world to others, cheers.

What we need to do as our own role as bitcoin enthusiasts is to share good news about bitcoin to others. Where we see criticism about bitcoin, we should be able to protect it and not allow other to preach hate words against this technology that have done tremendously well since its inception. In the spread of the news for a better bitcoin community, we should know that it is not advisable to force people into investing in this technology, but rather allowing them to willingly want to be a part of it.

The advantages and disadvantages should be made clear from sharing the news of it, so that people don’t fall into regrets or rather know how to trade and secure their funds when they begin to invest in bitcoin. Information is key and without the right information been spread about bitcoin, we may not see a fast adoption as we want but the adoption will come but not the pace that it would have come when individual enthusiasts like us are sharing the good news of this technology also.

I do preach about Bitcoin and it's usage to friends and family but I don't take their money for investment, I did that before but it's almost ruined my career and I stopped doing that. I only advise them to do it on their own while I direct them the process so they keep watching their assets in their wallet created.

That's good and it's something to be aware of because we know that it will only make things difficult in the end.
Ordinary people sometimes do not understand the conditions where risk is always the main thing that must be considered and when they save their money in us who in fact understand better they just hope that profits continue to flow without caring about anything including the risk that bitcoin is full of volatility.

Sharing experiences about bitcoin when indeed we understand more than new people who want to start their journey in bitcoin is a good thing but that does not mean we have a responsibility for them to benefit because everything must be done independently, when indeed they feel confident in the journey they want to take then do it but don't let them just try to be fed without knowing more about what they want to do in bitcoin just because they save their money to us and only want the benefits because they trust those who invite or introduce which makes those who introduce bitcoin become burdened.
