Yes, gambling in a casino should be perceived as a recreational activity and not as a way of earning money. I think that 'serious' is the difference between gamblers that sees it as entertainment and those that don't. If you take gambling seriously then you'd see it as a way to make money, if you don't you might see it as a sort of entertainment, I take gambling as an expensive entertainment. What is the need of taking gambling too seriously when it's not a business that you'd expect profit after engaging in it, winning is by luck so I decided to take it as fun. I used to see it as well and it got me thinking and wondering if gambling should only be engaged for fun. Well, it's more of a leisure rather than aiming to multiply your money. A kind of thing that doesn't suit well with online gambling. Since communicating between other players are very limited. Chatting will only cause someone to lose focus lol.
The definition "gambling for fun" are best suitable for land base casinos only, in my opinion. Because, obviously there will be social interactions and some complimentary stuff the casinos have to offer to their clients. There's nothing wrong with seeing it as a source of income if you're capable because, if you can pull it off, you're probably doing one of the best jobs in the world. I do believe it's possible, but it's not really for the majority of gamblers, that's why it's important to stay realistic because lacking realism is the main reason people get misled into thinking they have the skills when they actually don’t.

It's simple to me. Gambling for fun means I am playing with money that I can afford to lose; if I win that's a good day, if I lost the money that's ok — realistically losing is part and parcel that comes with gambling.

In this case of course we have different views in seeing a gambling, for you personally maybe the real challenge is how to be able to win in every gambling so that in the end you will consider gambling as something serious and actually has the potential to make you addicted, because basically after the victory you get then it is inevitable that you will return to look for another victory by playing again and it will happen continuously although you might deny it, for me personally, gambling is nothing more than entertainment although I might lose some money, but I enjoy the thrill and tension without thinking abouton the final outcome of the gambling.
