For me gambling for fun is when I do it with the aim of seeking entertainment when I am in a boring situation with no other activities that I can do and usually it happens on weekends when I am off work, and specifically I can say simply that gambling for entertainment is when your main priority is the pleasure you get from the sensation of the game which sometimes also triggers adrenaline.

One can actually gamble for fun especially when you are into casino games. I know it sound strange to say that someone will put money in gambling just for fun but it happens in some casino games like poker if you play it. I partially agree with you. We don't gamble just for fun. We don't want to admit that the main purpose behind our gambling is to make money. We don't always make money in gambling. Even then, we participate in gambling almost regularly. However, sometimes I gamble just for fun. This happens when we friends get together or go to hangouts. We gamble, and whatever we win in gambling here, we spend it on traveling or buying food. Although this is outside the normal gambling rules.

I wouldn't have to argue with you on this subject but sincerely speaking they both are characterize as same. I will further explain more; when you stake money on sports bet (soccer) and you didn't watch the game it's also gambling, when you also stake money and you watch the match it's also gambling+fun.

When you game, then you didn't stake money it gaming and, it's what leads to gambling, meaning there is similarities between both. Gambling for fun means you enjoy before and while gamble, not only enjoy on the results.

If you only enjoy on the results, you can't gambling for fun because when the results in loss, you will not enjoy it and vice versa.

Even after the loss of $30,000, the person might not feel bad about the loss he had experienced. At the same time, he will not urge himself to wager more and more consecutively to recover back what he has lost. This category of gamblers was very low, and they just spent time with friends visiting a casino and wagering. If they win, they enjoy it hard; else, there will be enjoyment as usual. I don't really gamble to have fun though I really just gamble to try and win money, but fully expecting that I will probably lose the money lol. One thing that I do enjoy though is playing a good old fashioned game of poker with my buddies and playing for a pot of cash. That is the most fun i've ever had gambling. Naturally, this is all as you say, but if the OP wants to develop, then he needs to take up games that depend almost entirely on skill, I only know about poker and blackjack. There are various coaches whose services cost a lot, but it will pay off if you devote a lot of time to this and have a wild desire to become better and do it every day. Ultimately, if the OP wants to become better, he should think about what skills he will use to win, unlike other players. And I can't agree with you because there definitely is gambling for fun. One of the simplest and most common examples of this are arcade machines, so popular in the 80s and 90s. Nowadays there's less of them, but people usually used them to show off their skills, maybe win something for a girlfriend, or simply kill time and have fun.

Another example is poker. Yes, people play to win money, but it's also a good social game. It's entertaining and can even be exciting because the more people fold and the higher the stakes the more excited you become up to that final moment when there's just 2 of you left and it's time to show the cards.
