This really had it's negative effects on me, and that's why I decided to take a break, no I can go several days or even weeks without gambling, it's not like I've quit, I've just decided to put my focus more on other things that'll be more profitable, and maybe sometimes when I get the chance and I have some change to spare, then I can gamble, but after I've exhausted the money I planned to play with, I just quit ASAP and take a walk.

Whenever you do gambling and sees out that you are already that go past beyond your limits then it is just that right that you should be considering on stopping out immediately if you dont want to experience some potential problems in the future. Gambling isnt bad as long you do make yourself that responsible because usually gamblers do end up on miserable just because they are being that foolish about into the actions that they are doing at the moment that they do gamble specially that they do want to make money and this is where it would be ending up on having that kind of disaster just because of having that kind of delusional approach. You would be ending up on having those kind of actions on which it shouldnt be supposedly to be done in the first place. You would be finding issues if you are just that being that hopeful about being profitable with gambling.

It will be giving out that negative impact into your life at the moment that you do become that hoping to become profitable with it instead on having some fun then it will be that giving out that negative impact.

If you can control it and the gambling you do does not negatively affect your finances or your life I think you are a great person and as you said that gambling is just for fun then you can continue it without having to think about stopping.
I actually think so too and want to be like that but I can't deny that sometimes I lose control of the gambling I do so that it has a bad impact on my finances but after that it returns to normal I will gamble again.
If someone has been gambling for a long time and considers this as entertainment then I think it will be difficult to stop, because I experienced that.

This might be a solution for a person who can treat gambling responsibly. If they need to reduce their spending on gambling, they can lower their bankroll, but whether that will be enough is another question. It will all depend on how well they can stretch this bankroll and whether playing for small amounts will be enough for them because it will bring completely different emotions and a completely different kind of adrenaline. But for that there must have a dream for me I have a dream too. I am thinking I will only place a bet while I have a huge money.

If you continue to be consistent, you will be free from gambling forever, but if you still have the intention when you have a lot of money to place bets again, that means you still can't stop gambling and will return to gambling to find pleasure or entertainment. It is not wrong to make gambling for fun; I understand you have your own goals to be able to stop gambling for that long. If we have free space then we must have to proper use of our time.

Good point, it doesn't matter what advice you give to people about gambling at the end of the day they are still going to do whatever they want. There are more than a hundred posts about gambling moderately and how to stop gambling addiction but a lot of people are still addicted because they choose to be. It all boils down to the gambler, change is a personal decision, until you are ready for it nothing will happen

I did that, even read books about how to remove debt and be debt free and was only successful for some months. My doom was the Gates of Olympus Super Scatter game as I started taking it way to seriously and have started leaving a lot of money on that game. For me though I am strong enough, I did it once for 6 months I can do it again indefinitely and the reason to do so I got it yesterday night, it kept giving me lost after lost game in the super buy bonus which I love from this game as the potential is there yet it is never seem to come. I will post a specific thread about it maybe some time later though in there you can hit the 500x multiplier and not get more than 2000x as a total so it is a mechanic that sucks, now I learned it and going away from it. Starting from today as that saying goes, start where you are with what you have.

I had a girlfriend and I was very much addicted to her but she had a trend to cheat but still I liked her a lot but when we broke up I was very hurt. Due to irregularity in my job my source of income was almost stopped at that time a close friend helped me to get out of that situation. He advised me to work harder to forget my mental pain. According to his advice I started focusing on my job and trying to increase my source of income and I was very successful.

If someone is addicted to gambling then he should stop gambling. Secondly to forget the pain of losing money you should focus on your work and try to increase your source of income. Nature will reward your hard work.

Exactly, if the person involve really wanted to set himself free then he's the one to pull the trigger, I like the way you said addiction is a something that only the person can cure itself, once he already accept the problem and willingly asking for help then things can be accomplished but when a person still denying or still in the process of having a hard time moving away, whatever explaination or whatever information that they've gathered there's nothing that they will take it.
